Who is the father of Ann's Children?
Moses and the other children's father listed as Josiah in the ship record. This is the only mention of a Josiah Thorp that this researcher can find at this point. All other references to the father of Moses, Ellen, Sarah and George point to Isaiah as the father. He is listed in census records on two continents, extracted Parish records of christenings, and a marriage record is found for Isaiah and Ann but none for Josiah.
It is probable that the entry for Josiah is wrong and the age listed is just a copy of Ann's age written by someone in a hurry. No marriage record in Stark Co. OH can be found for Ann and Isaiah and no death record there for Josiah. There is also the possibility that Isaiah was already here and Josiah traveled with Ann and the children and they separated upon arrival. A ship record for Isaiah would supporth this last theory.
