Here you will be able to find information related to the Schweissguth family, which I will expand (eventually) to include all my relations.

All information is provided freely for use in genealogical research and anyone was feel free to use it to aid in theirown research. Not all of the information is well documented, but is be fairly accurate.
I do genealogical research as a hobby, and have enjoyed it since 1965.
I hope you will find connections galore.

On 22 November 2010, someone challenged a piece of my data, using a false name and provided false (easily proved to be false) information to Rootsweb, and I was advised that I had to prove that my information was true, even in the face of data that Ancestry has already on file in their own databases (divorce and marriage records with one quick search)."

Genealogy research is more than just documenting facts, though this effort will be mostly just that. I will included some limited details of particular lives, but I always hunger for more information. The purpose is always to learn more about who we are and why we do the things we do. It goes to seeing the accomplishments of out forbearers. It includes taking pride in what they accomplished and how they contributed to what we are today. It includes respecting their hardships and losses, their having not given up, the resolve to go on and make a better life for their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren us. This of course includes the deep pride in the fact that they fought to make and keep the freedoms we enjoy today. Freedom is never free.

The work contained here is not just the work of one or two people, but of many. As you see the pictures, details, and facts, remember that others, some not part of our immediate family, have also contributed. Some have given through detailing the contents of Bible records, transcribing Census pages, inventorying cemeteries, and the list goes on and on. There are so very many who have over the years given to my research, and I hope have received in like kind. When I began my research, records were not as readily available as they are today. In the early days, you had to either physically go to all the archives and courthouses where the records were kept; or write your request for information to those places in hopes they would understand what you really wanted and would be able to find something to help you. Oft time you would have to wait weeks, sometimes months, to receive a response only to find out that you were on the wrong path, or there was no trail at all.
