There is no record of Nathaniel accompanying the family to Iowa in the fall of 1855. We therefor assume that he died in Beech Creek Twp. and is most likely buried on the Daniel's Farm grave site. There are two unmarked stones leaning against a tree, along with the stone for Henry P. Daniel.
However a statement in the book Historic Hopeville in the Daniel family sketch of Joseph W. Daniel indicated that the entire family migrated to Clarke County including Nathaniel and that he died in 1866 and was buried in Green Bay Cemetery. A search of the 1860 census should verify.Emigration: 1856 To Clarke County, Iowa
