    Opal Marie Sullins Rusche

    Opal Marie Sullins Rusche
    of Shawnee died Monday
    at a local hospital. She was
    86.

    She was born Oct. 22,
    1913, east of Shawnee. She
    attended Bethel Acres
    schools.

    She was a homemaker.

    She married Charles Clifford Sullins, who
    preceded her in death.

    She later married Pete Rusche on Dec. 23, 1980.
    She was a member of Trinity United Methodist
    Church.

    Survivors include husband Pete Rusche of the
    home; daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Ken
    Larson, Oklahoma City; granddaughter and her
    husband, Shelly and Shane Heinrichs, Baton
    Rouge, La.; great-granddaughter, Annie Marie
    Heinrichs, Baton Rouge, La.; brother-in-law and
    sister-in-law, Buck and Dorothy Weddle,
    Shawnee; sister-in-law, Opal Sullivan, Shawnee,
    and a number of nieces and nephews.

    Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at
    Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Kay
    Smith officiating. Burial will be at Tecumseh
    Cemetery under the direction of Roesch-Walker
    Funeral Chapel.

    Kathleen Ownby

    Oklahoma City resident Kathleen Ownby died
    Saturday in Oklahoma City. She was 78.

    Mrs. Ownby was born Dec. 24, 1921, in Konawa
    to Rachel (Merrell) and Larkin Scroggin.

    She married Wayne Ownby in Shawnee in 1960.

    She grew up in the Konawa area and was a
    pharmacy worker.

    Survivors include two daughters and son-in-law,
    Janice and Joe Newcomb, Seminole, and Dolores
    Esquivlas, Oklahoma City; two brothers, Gaylon
    Scroggin, Oklahoma City, and Wayne Scroggin,
    Edmond; two sisters, Betty Gregory, Shawnee,
    and Bobbie Green, Jay; five grandchildren, eight
    great-grandchildren and two
    great-great-grandchildren.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, in
    1967.

    Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at
    Vamoosa Cemetery under the direction of Pickard
    Funeral Home with the Rev. Mitch Williams
    officiating.
