    Lois Estelle Johnson [19891:C], 90 of Columbia, passed away Thursday morning, August 29, 2013, at Signature Health Care in Columbia.

    Lois was born in Alabama to the late Willie Edgar [19890:C] and Nellie Gibson [21632:C] Scroggins. She was a member of Church of God of Prophecy in Columbia. Lois was such a hardworking woman and retired from Lasko as an assembly line employee. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much. Her family says that she was the loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother that anyone would want to have.

    Funeral services for Ms. Johnson will be Saturday, August 31, at 2:00 pm at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Lawrence Jackson and Bro. Charles Clark officiating. Burial will follow the service in Polk Memorial Gardens. Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, August 30, from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

    Survivors for Lois include: son, James E. [tba:C] (Janie [tba:C]) Johnson; daughter, Linda [19892:C, fb] (Charles [tba]) DuPlessis; six grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren; brother, Lawrence 22018:C] (Louise [42837:C]) Scroggins; and sister, Bertha [22020:C] (Charles [39338:C]) Clark. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by: her children, Larry Eugene [51655:C], Harold [tba:C], & Bill [tba:C] Johnson; and her siblings, Oscar Scroggins [22012:C], Elmer [22013:C] (Jane [tba:C]) Scroggins, Lucille [22014:C] (Paul [42388:C]) Tucker, William Edward [22015:C] (Floy [39331:C]) Scroggins, Evelyn [22016:C] (Billy [39336:C]) Patterson, L.M.[22017:C] (Patsy tba:C]) Scroggins, James Nolen [22019:C] (Mary [32867:C]) Scroggins, and Dean Scroggins [22021:C].

    Mr. Larry Eugene Johnson, age 67, passed away unexpectedly at his residence in Huntsville, AL on Saturday, April 13, 2013.

    Larry was born and grew up in Maury County, Tennessee on July 10, 1945, one of five children of Benton Harold and Lois Estelle Scroggins Johnson. He graduated from Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville, Tennessee and served honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Larry spent his entire working career in the IT industry. Since the 1970's he lived in Huntsville, Alabama and worked at the Redstone Arsenal in the Office of the Chief Information Officer/G6. He was CMM Level 2 Certified and worked specifically as a member of the Application Processes Team. He was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy.

    Also Larry was known to family and friends as an Elvis impersonator and loved singing Elvis' songs.

    Mr. Johnson is survived by his mother: Lois Estelle Scroggins Johnson [19891]; siblings: James "Eddy" (Janice) Johnson and Linda (Charles) Duplessis 19892]; nieces and nephews: Tonya (Bernie) Johnson Anderson, Tina (David) Johnson Stephenson, Shae (Dennis) Duplessis David, Eric (Tiffany) Duplessis, Nicholas "Nick" (Stacey) Johnson, Crystal (Seth) Johnson Cox; and 18 great nieces and nephews. Larry was preceded in death by his father: Benton Harold Johnson, Sr.; and two brothers: Benton Harold "Hal" Johnson, Jr. and Willie Edgar "Bill" Johnson.

    Funeral services for Mr. Johnson will be held Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Bro. Bob Creasy and Bro. Lawrence Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens in the Garden of Everlasting Life with military honors provided by the American Legion Herbert Griffin Post 19. The family will visit with friends on Friday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
