Deceased Name: Corona Miriam Scrogin
Services for Miriam Millar Scrogin, 91, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at United Methodist Church in Corona. She died Monday of heart disease at Vencor Hospital in Culver City. Friends may call at the church Friday from 10:30 a.m. until the service time. Burial will be in Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Memorial Park in Riverside. Thomas Miller Mortuary in Corona is handling arrangements. Mrs. Scrogin, who was born in Ludington, Mich., lived in Corona for 48 years before moving to Playa del Rey two years ago. She was an office manager for Borden Co. in Corona for 15 years before she retired in 1968. She previously was an elementary school teacher in South Bend, Ind., in the 1930s. She was a member of the Women's Improvement Club in Corona. Mrs. Scrogin was a member of Corona United Methodist Chuch. She is survived by a son, Bruce, of Playa del Rey; a sister, Hope, of Corvallis, Ore.; and a brother, Northrup Miller of South Bend.
