   TRUMANN -- C.A. SCROGGINS, 80, of Trumann died Sunday, Nov. 30, at his residence.
   
   Born in Lake City, he had lived in Trumann since 1948 and worked as a shipbuilder during World War II. He was retired from the Singer Co. in Trumann and was a member of Viva Drive Church of Christ.
   
   Survivors include two sons, Donnie SCROGGINS of Trumann and Johnny SCROGGINS of Southaven, Miss.; two daughters, Linda Kay Woods and Carolyn Marie Lowery, both of Trumann; two sisters, Geniva Sweetena of Porterville, Calif., and Florence Smith of Manteca, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
   
   He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ellen SCROGGINS, his parents, four brothers, four sisters and two grandchildren.
   
   Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann, with Joe Spangler officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
   
   Active pallbearers will be Donnie SCROGGINS, Johnny SCROGGINS, Joshua SCROGGINS, Matthew SCROGGINS, Justin Carter and Bobby Fagan.
   
   Honorary pallbearers will include Caleb SCROGGINS, Garry Doty and Kenneth Woods.
   
   Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
