  DECATUR -- Fern O. Jones, 80 of Decatur, passed away 9:05 a.m. Sunday (Feb. 16, 2003) in her home surrounded by her family.
  
  Services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be
  one hour before services. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials: DMH Home Health Care or Second Church of God.
  
  Fern was born on Nov. 6, 1922, in Champaign, the daughter of Grover Cleveland and
  Grace Abbott Bird. She was a meat cutter and packer for Kauffman Eastern Packing and Bond Poultry. She was a member of the Second Church of God. She married Edmund Jones on Dec. 24, 1939, in Salem, Ind.
  
  Surviving are her husband of 63 years; son, Edmund "Rick" Jones and wife Cheri L.
  of Decatur; daughters, Patricia A. Scroggins and husband Ray of Mount Zion; Deborah D. Lynch and husband Jim of Blue Mound; 10 grandchildren; 18 great- grandchildren; two great-great-grandsons; numerous special family members and friends.
  
  She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and six sisters.
  
  Fern enjoyed crocheting and making crafts. The family would like to give special
  
  thanks to DMH Home Health Care and Dr. Esparaz and Dr. Bilyeu and their staffs for all of the loving care and support that they gave Fern and her family.³
