  He was born Feb. 15, 1922 in Harrisburg to Otis and Nancy Jane (Reed)
  Threet. He married Margaret Scroggins on Sept. 20, 1946.
  
  Mr. Threet was a retired service manager for Humm Motor Company for 37
  years and Holland Motor Company for 3 years. He was a member of the Harrisburg First Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. He was also a 32nd degree Mason in The Harrisburg Masonic Lodge, a long-time member of the Egyptian Shrine Club, a 50 year member of the Harrisburg American Legion, and a member of the Illinois Horsemen's Association.
  
  He is survived by his wife, Margaret Threet of Harrisburg; two brothers,
  Harry Threet and wife, Vivian of Harrisburg, Otis Threet Jr. and wife, Mary of Harrisburg; one sister, Dorothy and husband, Bob Oglesby of Tupelo, Miss; close friends, Richard and Nancy Robinson of Marion and Norma Perkins of Harrisburg; and several nieces and nephews.
  
  He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Earl Threet; and
  one sister, Gladys Yates.
  
  Funeral services are 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 11, at Reed Funeral Chapel, with
  the Rev. Mike Davis officiating. Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Masonic Rites at 7 p.m. Burial is in Sunset Lawn Cemetery, with Military Rites by the Harrisburg and Carrier Mills American Legions.
  
  For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the
  Shriner's Children's Hospital.²
