• Obituary*: Of Opal Scroggin, 24 Aug 1995, Grant County News, Williamstown, Grant Co, KY, Opal Scroggin Vincent, 86, of Plant City, Florida, died August 15, 1995 at her residence. She was born in Mason, and was a member of the Kenton County Retired Teachers, Lifetime member of KEA and NEA, a former member of Latonia Church of Christ, taught high school in Warren County, and was Principal of Springlake Elementary, as well as a supervisor in Kenton County Elementary Schools. She was also a member of Northside Baptist Church in Plant City. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Ottie Reece Scroggin and Dora May Menefee Scroggin. Survivors are one daughter, Patricia S. Short of Stanford; one brother, Dr. Fred R. Scoggin of Williamstown; and three grandchildren. Funeral services were August 20 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown, with burial in Williamstown Cemetery.
