    CANALOU — Katie Lawanda Thomas, 77, died at 5:30 a.m. Jan. 24, 2006, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

    Born May 20, 1928, in Lepanto, Ark., daughter of the late Lonnie and Katie Miller Scroggin, she was a homemaker.

    On Nov. 6, 1960, in Piggott, Ark., she married Limuel B. Thomas, who preceded her in death on March 5, 2004.

    Survivors include: one daughter, Emma Adams of Canalou; one brother, Aubrey Scroggin of Gideon; one granddaughter, Kathryn Michelle Humphrey of Stillwater, Okla.; and one great-grandson.

    Visitation is from noon Thursday until time for services at 2 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. The Rev. Mike Cartwright, pastor of the Canalou Assembly of God Church, will officiate.

    Burial will follow in Matthews Cemetery at Matthews.
