    Deceased Name: Bessie Scroggins Powell

    Services for Bessie Scroggins Powell will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, September 15, 2002 in the chapel of Hixson Brothers, Pineville with the Revs. Charlie Short and Gary Wagoner officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery.

    Mrs. Powell, 79, of Pollock died Friday, September 13, 2002 in Rapides Regional Medical Center.

    She was a member of Big Creek Baptist Church, a homemaker and a native of Natchitoches Parish.

    She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Franklin Powell her parents, Adolph and Cecile LaCaze Scroggins and a brother, Roy Scroggins.

    Survivors include five daughters, Linda Brown, Frankie McCartney, Sandy Kirtland, Brenda Mercer, and Tina Wagoner, all of Pollock ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

    Pallbearers will be Leslie Carroll, Brent Mercer, Ty Kirtland, Chad Wagoner, Tom Cain, and Tony Normand.

    Honorary pallbearers will be Clint Wagoner, Justin Wells, Jacob Wells, Heath Cain, Mitchell Craig, Corey Craig, Casey Bynog, and Tucker Chandler.

    Friends may call at Hixson Brothers, Pineville today from 8 a.m. until time of service.
