Visitation 1-3 p.m. at the chapel. Burial following in De Soto Cemetery. Memorial contributions to Heart of America Council Boy Scouts of America, 10210 Holmes Rd., Kansas City, MO 64131. Mr. Scroggins was born July 29, 1935 in Wichita, KS. He married Lorine Harrison on September 7, 1957 in LaGrange, IL. He graduated from Ottawa Univ. He retired from Boy Scouts of America in 1992 after 35 years of service. He was very active in his church, a member of Lenexa Baptist Church. After retirement, he was a Bus Monitor for De Soto School Dist. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hurber and Mamie Scroggins and 1 brother. Survivors include his wife, Lorine of the home; sons, Craig Scroggins of Cameron, MO, James Scroggins of Spring Hill, KS, daughters, Kimberley Price of De Soto, Julie Stanley of Manchester, ME; 8 grandchildren.

    Mr. Scroggins died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2006, at his home.

    He was born July 29, 1935, in Wichita, the son of Hurber and Mamie Scroggins. He graduated from Ottawa University.
    Mr. Scroggins retired from Boy Scouts of America in 1992 after 35 years of service. He was a bus monitor for the De Soto school district after he retired. He was an active member of the Lenexa Baptist Church.

    He married Lorine Harrison on Sept. 7, 1957, in LaGrange, Ill. She survives of the home.

    Other survivors include two sons, Craig Scroggins, Cameron, Mo., and James, Scroggins, Spring Hill; two daughters, Kimberley Price, De Soto, and Julie Stanley, Manchester, Maine; and eight grandchildren.

    A brother preceded him in death.
