    Deceased Name: Dorothy P. Williams
    A funeral will be at noon Friday, Sept. 15, 2000, in Gateway Little Chapel of the Chimes for Dorothy P. Williams, who died Sept. 9 at age 76.

    Mrs. Williams was born Dec. 25, 1923, in Boston and lived in Ukiah and Pendleton before moving in the mid-1940s to Portland. Her maiden name was Scroggins. She was a bookkeeper for what is now American Publishers Service from the early 1950s until earlier this year. She was divorced from her first husband, Norman Anderson. Her second husband, Myron D. "Bud" Williams, died in 1996.

    Survivors include her daughter, Joy Hegstrom; sons, Dean Anderson and Scott Williams; stepdaughters, Leslie Louderback and Shelley Williams; brothers, Frank Scroggins and Edmond Scroggins; sisters, Joan Smith and Janet Scroggins; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

    Interment will be in Willamette National Cemetery. The family suggests remembrances to Providence Portland Hospice.
