    Charlotte Mae Scroggins

    Born in Bloomington, Indiana on February 18, 1920, Charlotte was the daughter of Bruce Wylie and Edith Hacker. At the age of 14 she became the bride of Charles Lloyd Scroggins. To this union four children, who survive, were born.

    In 1981 Charlotte came to Arizona settling first in Gila Bend. She came to Tucson and the Martin Luther King Apartments in 1987. There she served on the council board and parented the Brown Bag and Commodities Food Program for the complex. In 1992 she became a member of Victory Baptist Church where she attended faithfully until the move, two years ago, to Sunset Assisted Living Home. It was from there that she went to be with the Lord Oct. 22, 2005. She was buried in a family plot in Gila Bend on Oct. 26. 2005.

    Survivors include sons Lloyd (Shirley) of Tucson, Jerry W. of Lowell, Indiana; David L. of Las Vegas, Nevada; daughter Charlene Clark of Demonte, Indiana; 19 grand and 16 great grandchildren: One brother, Fred Hacker of Michigan and a sister, Betty Hughes from Indiana; a niece Barbara Tillman of Gila Bend; devoted friends and caring staff of Sunset Assisted Living Facility.
