    Dorothy May Scroggins, 93, of Pekin, formerly of Aurora, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at Mardell Manor in Pekin, IL. She was born December 10, 1914 in Aurora, IL the daughter of the late Edward F. and Jessie L. (Watson) Scroggins.

    Dorothy was a former member of Claim St. Baptist Church where she was the organist for over 50 years playing for many weddings and funerals. She worked at Stillman Co. in Aurora. Dorothy enjoyed traveling and one of her favorite trips was a trip to the Holy Land in 1993.

    Survivors include cousins, nieces and nephews.

    She was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Scroggins; and a sister-in-law, Hester Durham.

    Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 26, 2008 at 1:30 PM at The Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Place, Aurora. Visitation will be on Saturday from 12:30 PM until the service hour. Interment will be at Spring Lake Cemetery.
