    Paul E. Scroggins Sr., age 75, of Evansville, passed away Friday, February 12, 2010, at his home.

    Mr. Scroggins had worked as an over-the-road truck driver for Bunny Bread before his retirement in 1988. He was a member of the River City Eagles, River Bend Association and the Moose Lodge #2056 in Kissimmee, Fla. He was a huge Jeff Gordon and NASCAR fan.

    Surviving Paul are his wife of 50 years, Jean Scroggins; a daughter, Paula (Dale) Hurst of Evansville; two sons, Paul "Ed" Scroggins and Perry Michael Scroggins, both of Evansville; one sister, Violet Sweeney of Las Vegas, Nev.; and two brothers, James (Paula) Scroggins of Kissimmee, Fla., and Charles (Gladys) Orange of Evansville. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Zachary and Felicia Scroggins; four great-grandchildren, Allison, Morgan, Darious and Kaylee; and several nieces and nephews.

    Paul was preceded in death by his son, Gary Scroggins, in 1988 and his sister, Burneda Gallion, in 2007.

    Funeral services for Mr. Scroggins will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Pierre Funeral Home, the Rev. Ken Gallion officiating. Burial will follow in Locust Hill Cemetery.

    Friends may visit with the family from 1 to 8 p.m. today at Pierre Funeral Home, where the Rev. Jay Davidson will conduct a memorial service at 1:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry.

    Robert Kirk, 82, of Evansville, died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002, at CORE Nursing & Rehabilitation.

    He had been an upholsterer for National Furniture.

    Surviving are two daughters, Burneda Gallion and Violet Sweeney; three sons, Charles Orange and James and Paul Scroggins; a sister, Ester Mettles; brothers, August and Frank; and 17 grandchildren.

    Services 10 a.m. Tuesday at Miller & Miller Colonial Chapel, burial in Locust Hill Cemetery. Visitation is 2 to 8 p.m. today.

    Burneda Frances (Scroggins) Gallion, 69, went home to be with the Lord at her home surrounded by family and friends on

    Saturday, November 10, 2007. A native of Evansville, she also lived in Wadesville and Crossville for many years before returning to Evansville in 2003, a year after her husband, "Delmo," went home to be with the Lord.

    Burneda worked many years at Kent Plastics, which later became Ball Plastics and Whirlpool of Evansville. In later years became a homemaker. She loved her children and grandchildren. In her early years she enjoyed horseback riding and sunbathing, and in later years enjoyed singing karaoke and sunbathing. All who met her were touched by her beautiful smile and sweet disposition.

    Preceding her in death is her husband of 45 years, Walter "Delmo" Gallion. Succeeding her in death are her children, James Gallion of Evansville, Steven Gallion and wife, Letty, and grandchildren, Cody and Bianca of San Antonio, Texas, and Nikki (US Navy) of Pensacola, Fla.; Richard Gallion and wife, Erica, and grandchildren, Harley and Harrison of Evansville; Kenneth Gallion and wife, Sharon, and grandchildren, Kendall Honeycutt and husband, Brad, of Clayton, N.C., Aaron, Emilee and Abigail of Fayetteville, N.C.; Melinda Bidabe and husband, Steve, of Chandler, Ind., and grandchildren, Krystal of Norris City, Ill., Ashley of Chandler, Ind., and Steve Jr., (US Navy) of San Diego, Calif.; and great-grandchildren, Preston and Dylan. Also, brothers, James Scroggins of Kissimmee, Fla., Charles Orange and Paul Scroggins of Evansville; and sister, Violet Sweeney of Las Vegas, Nev.

    Special thanks to Lori and Ann of Vista Care Hospice and special thanks to the family and friends who have provided cards, flowers, food, love and concern.
