She enjoyed square dancing with her husband
BATAVIA - Margaret A. Urich, 88, of Batavia, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008, at Rosewood Care Center in St. Charles.
She was born Nov. 26, 1919, in Batavia, to Carl and Mae (Hanosh) Nelson. She was united in marriage to Arnold John George Urich.
She was employed by Furnas Electric for several years before retirement. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, where she was active in the church choir and a member of Ladies Aid. She enjoyed square dancing with her husband. She also had a green thumb with a passion for yard work and gardening. She leaves behind many fond memories for her family and friends, who will miss her dearly.
She is survived by two daughters, Bonnie (Patrick) Scroggins of Batavia and Darlene Troutt of Gladstone, Mich.; 12 grandchildren; Scott, Jay and Jon Urich, Robert, Sean, Nathan and Matthew Troutt, and Jennifer Giese, Thomas Conville, Kevin, Jason and Sarah Scroggins; 22 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Lorraine Peddy of Batavia, Madelyn Bast of Abilene, Texas, and Marion Blakesley of Batavia.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Ronald; a daughter, Linda Conville; a sister, Evelyn Sytar; and three brothers, Alfred, Carl and Allen Nelson.
The visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral Monday, Feb. 11, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 950 Hart Road, Batavia, with the Rev. Ronald Weidler officiating.
Interment will follow at River Hills Memorial Park Batavia.
