Funeral Marie Remegia Scroggins, 74, of Nacogdoches will be at 4 p.m. Monday, April 20, 2009 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Bro. Brett Maisel and Bro. Todd Muckleroy officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Scroggins died Friday, April 17, 2009, in Beaumont, Texas. Born Nov. 21, 1934, she was the daughter of Andrew and Willie Vicenta (Manchaca) Lozano. She was a Sunday School teacher at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Claude "Dub" Scroggins. Survivors include her son, Warren Claude "W.C." Scroggins Jr. of Nacogdoches; daughters, Deborah "Sue Sue" Horton, of Nacogdoches, Marie Annette Embler, of Beaumont and Phyllis A. LaRue, of Nacogdoches; sisters, Helen Mickie Barnett and Viola Davis, both of Nacogdoches; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter to be born in July. Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday April 19, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Laird Funeral Home.
