   Funeral services for Austin Dakota Scroggins, of Sperry, were held Thursday, September 22, 2011 at Sperry High School Auditorium in Sperry, OK. Reverend Adam Stang officiated and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket bearers were Dallas Scroggins, Thad Carter, Mikey McCause, Jeremiah McCause, Lane Cartwright, Rodney Cartwright, Steven Ford, and Thomas McCause. Honorary casket bearers were Jake Gordon, Bill Gordon, Donnie Cartwright, Jerry Scroggins, Artie Silkey, and James Cartwright.
   
   Austin was born March 19, 1993 in Tulsa, OK to Jerry Scroggins and Gina D. (Cartwright) McBroom. He passed away September 17, 2011 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 18.
   
   Austin attended Sperry High School. He enjoyed going to rodeos, bull riding, horseback riding, football, and wrestling. Austin loved spending time with his family and friends, and the love of his life, Kristen, as well as his nieces, nephews, brothers, and sisters. He did everything with his grandpa since Austin was always his grandpa's shadow.
   
   He is survived by his fiancée, Kristen Vann; mother and dad, Gina and David McBroom; father and mom, Jerry and Joyce Scroggins; grandparents, Donna Smith, Donnie and Brenda Cartwright, Joann McBroom, Bonnie Marble, and Bob Blair; brothers, Dallas Scroggins, and David McBroom; sisters, Tiara Scroggins-Ford, Sabrina Scroggins, and Brittany McBroom; uncles, Rodney Cartwright, Randy McBroom, and James Cartwright; nieces, Aubrey and Abby; nephews, Payton and Thadaus; and many other relatives and friends.
   
   He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Donald and Betty Cartwright, Imogene Blair, Melvin McBroom, and Donald Hardison; and aunt, Nancy Seaman.
