   ADRIAN – Mackie (Mac) Scroggins, age 68, of Adrian, passed away Wed. February 23, 2011, at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor. He was born November 7, 1942, in Adrian to Leamon and Mary (Walker) Scroggins. He served in the U.S. Marines from 1960 – 1966, during the Cuban Missile Crisis and in Cambodia. On February 20, 1965, he married Evelyn (Sue)Burton. She preceded him in death. Mackie had been employed by Siena Heights University, retiring in 1996. Mackie is survived by two daughters, Shanna Scroggins of Adrian and Stacie Hague of Adrian; four sisters, Frances Lawhead of Tecumseh, Imagene Cote of Onsted, Patricia Richardson of Grand Rapids and Joyce Mitchell of Adrian; three brothers, Shirley "Butch" Mitchell Scroggins of Vista, CA, Roger Scroggins of Adrian and Gail Scroggins of Adrian; four grandchildren, Justin, Airen, Kayla and Kayleen; and one great-granddaughter, MyKenzie. In addition to his wife, Sue, he was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Jerry Scroggins in childhood. Funeral services for Mackie will be held Saturday, February 26, 2011, at 2:30 p.m. at the Adrian Chapel of the Anderson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Crane Cemetery with Full Graveside Military Rites conducted by the AM-VETS. Visitation will be held Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Adrian Chapel of the Anderson Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family of Mackie Scroggins. Envelopes are available at the Adrian Chapel of the Anderson Funeral Home.
