, Michelle Lynn Goebel, 20 Aug 2012Michelle Lynn Goebel, Age 30, of Chesterton formerly of Hebron passed away on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012 at home surrounded by her loving family. Michelle was born in Valparaiso on March 4, 1982 to Gary and Nancy (Houghtaling) Scroggins.?
She married Adam Goebel on May 6, 2006. Michelle earned her Bachelors degree in Education from Purdue University and was a dedicated teacher of Economics and US History for Portage High School. She was a very giving person and enjoyed being with her family and friends. She was known for her unique and infectious laugh and she will be greatly missed.
Michelle is survived by her husband, Adam Goebel and Sasha; parents, Michael and Nancy Backes and Gary and Susan Scroggins; sisters, Angela (husband, Marc), Melissa, Allison (Steve) and Amanda (husband, Matt); brother, Kristopher; grandmother, Ina Houghtaling; and five nieces and two nephews.
Memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012 from 3 until 6 p.m. with Memorial Service at 6 p.m. at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton, IN.
