Richard E. Neuses, 71, of 1515-27th St., manager of the Two Rivers area operations of the C. Reiss Coal Co. for nearly 40 years, a past president of the Two Rivers Rotary Club and active in civic circles, died at 2 a.m. Tuesday at the Two Rivers Municipal Hospital. He had been in failing health for several months.

Mr. Neuses was born Aug. 10, 1895 at Janesville, a son of the late Peter and Anna M. Reiss Neuses. He attended Janesville elementary schools and Campion College at Prairie du Chien. After completing his education he was employed at the Superior branch of the C. Reiss Coal Co. In May of 1928 he was made manager of the Two Rivers branch of the C. Reiss Coal Co.

Mr. Neuses served as president of the Two Rivers Rotary Club in 1952-53, and had been active in affairs of the Two Rivers Community Club, a predecessor of the Two Rivers Chamber of Commerce. He was also a longtime member of the Two Rivers Lodge of Elks No. 1380 and Mother of Hope Council No. 1957, Knights of Columbus, and also of Holy Redeemer Parish.

He married the former Edith Helander at Janesville, April 9, 1917, who survives with two daughters, a son, a sister, two brothers, six grandchildren, and one great grandchild.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday with a solemn requiem high Mass at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Two Rivers, the Most Rev. Raymond P. Hillinger, auxiliary bishop of Chicago, the celebrant. The Revs. John K. Mueller and Allan Jirikovac will serve as deacon and subdeacon, respectively. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Sheboygan.

Funeral arrangements are in charge of Deji and Martin Funeral Chapels, with details to be announced Wednesday.

Donald F. Neese, 63, of 511-A North 8th Street, Sheboygan, died Thursday, February 6, 1992, at his home.

He was born June 12, 1926, in Sheboygan, the son of the late William F. and Lina {Gartmann} Neese. Donald served with the U.S. Army, during the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by two brothers, Kenneth R. Neese and Glenn H. Neese, of Sheboygan; three sisters, Mrs. Clarence Wilnora R. Raeder and Mrs. Erma E. Rohde, of Sheboygan; Mrs. Malinda L. Weber, of Newton. One brother preceeded him in death.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, at 4 p.m., at the Ballhorn Chapels. Rev. Steven E. Thomas, pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the Ballhorn Chapels, on Sunday, from 2 p.m., to the time of services.

The Sheboygan Journal of Feb. 11, gives the following notice of the death of a daughter-in-law of Geo. Nicholson of Charlestown.

The funeral of the late Mrs. Jas. Nicholson took place on Thursday morning from the Grooms home at Waldo and the interment was made in Mt. Pleasant near Cascade.

Mrs. Jas. Nicholson came to Waldo a week ago Monday and had been confined to her bed a greater part of the time since. On Monday afternoon, however, she was sitting up and had been talking to member of the family when she suddenly fainted away and before anyone reached her side she was gone. Her death was caused by hear disease from which she been a sufferer for some time. While it was thought that death might come at any time the news of her passing away came as a great shock.

Mrs. Nicholson, whose maiden name was May Grooms, was the only daughter of Mr. And Mrs. V. R. Grooms. She was born March 21st, 1871, near Cascade, thereby making her nearly thirty-three years in age. She made her home in that vicinity up to the time of her marriage to Jas. Nicholson about twelve years ago, and since then had resided in Sheboygan. Besides her husband she leaves two sons, aged four and six years , also her parents and two brothers, Charles and Henry Grooms of Waldo."

Geo. Nicholson and wife. Fred and Frank Nicholson and Miss Katie Nicholson, of Charlestown, attended the funeral which was held on Thursday last week.

Fred Neese, Jr., 24, died of gunshot wounds at 4 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at his home, 1710 N. 20th street.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Robert H. Kroos Funeral home, the Rev. E. C. Jaberg of the Ebenezer Reformed church officiating, with interment in Wildwood cemetery. Friends can view the body from Friday morning on.

After the death Coroner Wesley Van Zanten was called and pronounced death from suicide. The family was at a loss to explain the reason for Mr. Neese's sudden death, saying it came as a complete shock.

He had driven home with his father, Fred Neese, Sr., from work at Kohler yesterday afternoon and appeared in the best of spirits. According to his family, his married life was very happy. He had no financial or marital troubles and was interested in hunting, fishing and taxidermy.

He was born in Sheboygan, Sept. 18, 1914, attended the public and high schools, Mission House college and the Vocational school in Milwaukee. He had been employed at Kohler as a machinist.

On Sept. 18, 1937, he married Roberta Eisold, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Eisold of this city. Survivors are his widow, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Neese, Sr., four sisters and a brother, Mrs. John Anderson, city; Mrs. Art Zastrow, Mrs. Frank Stauber, Mrs. Gust Johnson, all of town of Sheboygan, and Erwin, city.

Erwin J. Neese, 70, of 3634 S. 17th St., died early today at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness.

He was born April 23, 1909, in Sheboygan, a son of Fred and Minnie Gartman Neese. He attended Jefferson Elementary School.

On Nov. 8, 1930, he married Leona Richter of Sheboygan at St. John United Church of Christ.

He was employed by the Kohler Co. for 47 years, retiring in 1974.

Mr. Neese was a member of the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer and the Kohler Quarter Century Club.

Survivors are his wife; four sons, Glenn, Dale, Gary and Neal, all of Sheboygan; three daughters, Mrs. Eugene {Shelby} Koll and Mrs. Dale {Bonnie} Spindler and Mrs. Donald {June} Weinann, all of Sheboygan; 16 grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Viola Johnson of Plymouth and Mrs. Loretta Stauber of Sheboygan.

A brother and two sisters preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Our Redeemer Church by the Rev. H. William Jordan, pastor. Entombment will be at Garden Terrace Mausoleum of Lutheran Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Ballhorn Funeral Chapels after 4 p.m. Tuesday and at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.

A memorial fund has been established in Mr. Neese's name.

Mrs. Minnie Neese, wife of Fred, passed away on Wednesday evening at her home at 1517 Mehrtens avenue, after a lingering illness.

Deceased was born on Feb. 26, 1881, in the town of Wilson, the daughter of August and Minnie Gartman. She attended the district school there, and on Nov. 10, 1900, she was married to Fred Neese.

The couple always made their home in Sheboygan. Mrs. Neese was a member of St. John's Evangelical and Reformed church, and enjoyed working in her garden. She had a large circle of friends.

Surviving her are her husband, four daughters, Mrs. John Anderson of Town Sheboygan; Mrs. Arthur Zastrow of Oostburg; Mrs. Frank Stauber of Town Sheboygan; Mrs. Gustave Johnson of Town Sheboygan Falls; one son, Erwin of Town Sheboygan; 26 grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, two brothers, John and Val Gartman of Town Wilson; six sisters, Mrs. Louis Zimmermann of Sheboygan; Mrs. Tillie Drews of Town Sheboygan; Mrs. Emma Bahr of Sheboygan; Mrs. Rudolph Thielman of Town Wilson; Mrs. Ferdinand De Sombre, and Mrs. Clarence Bennink of Sheboygan.

One son, Fred, Jr., died in 1939, and she was also preceded in death by two infant daughters and her father, who passed away on April 7 of this year.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Ballhorn Funeral chapels. The Rev. E. R. Krueger, pastor of St. John's Evangelical and Reformed church, will officiate and burial will be in the family lot in Wildwood cemetery.

The body can be viewed at the funeral chapels beginning this evening.

Glenn E. Neese, 64, of 2317 North 5th Street, Sheboygan, died Thursday, December 5, 1996 at Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center.

Glenn was born August 7, 1932 in Sheboygan, a son of Erwin and Leona Richter Neese.

On April 19, 1976, June Strysick and Glenn Neese were united in marriage in Sheboygan. He had been employed at various manufacturing firms in the Sheboygan area, retiring from R-Way. Glenn enjoyed hunting and raising pigeons, as show birds.

A funeral service for Glenn E. Neese will be held Monday, December 9, 1996 at 10 a.m. at the Habermann-Zimmer Funeral Chapel, 805 North 6th Street, Sheboygan, with the Rev. Vernon Jaberg officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Town of Sheboygan. Friends and relatives are welcome at the funeral home on Sunday, from 4 until 8 p.m. and on Monday, from 8 a.m. until time of the service.

Surviving Glenn are his wife, June, one step-son, Michael {Diane} Warner, three step-daughters, Linda {Ronald} Schunk, Diane {Alfred} Brown and Sharon {Orville} Jepsen, 11 step-grandchildren and 7 step-great-grandchildren, all of Sheboygan; his mother, Leona Richter, Sheboygan Falls; three brothers, Dale {Diane} Neese, Sheboygan; Gary {Sharon} Neese, Sheboygan Falls and Neal {Carol} Neese, Sheboygan; three sisters, Shelley Koll, Bonnie {Dale} Spindler and June {Donald} Weimann, all of Sheboygan. He was preceded in death by his father, Erwin and one brother-in-law, Eugene Koll.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in the name of Glenn E. Neese.

Mrs. Regina Nath Passes Away Here; Rites Wednesday

Mrs. Regina Nath, widow of the late Detlaf Nath, passed away at Sheboygan Memorial hospital Saturday afternoon.

Born in Town Wilson on March 22, 1878, the daughter of Frederick and Augusta Fritsch, the deceased was married to Detlaf Nath on April 22, 1898. The couple made their home in Town Wilson until 1931, when they moved to a farm in Town Sheboygan Falls. In 1939 they moved to Sheboygan.

Since the death of her husband on Aug. 31, 1943, Mrs. Nath had been making her home with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Reinhold Gartman, route 2, Sheboygan. Survivors include Mrs. Gartman and one brother, Alfred Fritsch, Town Wilson. One son died in infancy.

Funeral services will be held at the Ramm Funeral home at 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Karl Schulz, pastor of Trinity Lutheran church, officiating. Interment will be in Lutheran cemetery. Friends may view the body at the funeral home from Tuesday afternoon until the time of services.

Detlef Nath Is Summoned This Morning

Detlef Nath, 68, passed away suddenly this morning at his home, 514 New York avenue.

Born in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, on Nov. 30, 1874, he came to this country with his parents when he was eight years old and settled in town Wilson. A few years later the family moved to a farm near Clintonville. In 1896 he returned to town Wilson and was married to Miss Regina Fritsch on April 22, 1898.

The couple made their home in town Wilson and Mr. Nath was engaged in the fishing business with Adolph Stockdyke and later bought his partner's interest in the business. In 1912 he bought the Stockdyke farm, which is now Terry Andrae State Park.

After selling this farm he bought another in town Sheboygan Falls and resided there until about four years ago when he retired and the family moved to this city. He was well known throughout the county as a fisherman and farmer.

Survivors are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Reinhold {Leila}

Gartman, of town Sheboygan Falls; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Stange of Plymouth, and a brother, George, of Washington, D. C.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Ramm Funeral home with the Rev. C. P. Schulz officiating. Burial will be made in Wildwood cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home beginning Wednesday afternoon.

The death of Mrs. Mary Nolan occurred at the home of her daughter, Mrs. O'Neill in Milwaukee, Tuesday, July 15, death being due to the infirmities of old age.

Mrs. Nolan, whose maiden name was Mary E. McDonnell, was born in County Meow {sic}, Ireland, Dec. 25, 1833. She came to this country with her parents in 1847, settling in the state of Ohio where on Nov. 7, 1851 she was united in marriage to Thomas Nolan. Five years later they came to Wisconsin, settling in the town of Greenbush where they continuously resided. Since Mr. Nolan's death eleven years ago and the disposal of the old home a few years later, Mrs. Nolan has lived among her children, most of the time being spent with her son Thomas, who lives at Hull's Crossing in the town of Greenbush.

Mrs. Nolan is survived by her children, seven daughters and {three} sons to mourn the loss of the{kindest}, most devoted of {mothers}.

The sad news reached this city Christmas day of the death of Robert R. Ninnemann, near Campbellsport, after a very short illness of influenza. He had been sick only a short time when he succumbed to the fatal malady. His wife and children are sick also with the same illness.

Mr. Ninnemann was born in Germany 37 years ago and came to this country with his parents when two years of age. The family settled at Cascade where he received his early education and after attaining manhood he embarked for himself in the cheese business and continued to make that his occupation until death. Mr. Ninnemann was married to Miss Gertrude Gahagan at Cascade, June 29th, 1904 and of that union five children with his widow survive. He lived in this city for a time and then moved to Random Lake where he engaged in cold storage business which he sold out a few years ago and moved to Campbellsport, near where he had conducted a cheese factory {Article cut off}.

Miss Kate Nicholson, 67, died at her home, 627 Pennsylvania avenue Saturday evening after a long illness.

The body was taken to the Hanchett Mortuary where it will lie in state until Tuesday morning. Funeral services will be held from the Hanchett rooms at 8:30 o'clock and services will be conducted at St. Clement's Catholic church at 9 o'clock, the Rev. Father Murphy officiating. Burial will be made in North Side Catholic cemetery.

Miss Nicholson was born in the town of Lima, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Nicholson, pioneer residents. She lived here many years, however.

The only surviving relative is Miss Mary Nicholson, 627 Pennsylvania avenue.

Death came upon Mrs. Mary Naughton very suddenly on Tuesday morning at her home in the town of Mitchell. Thinking her mother slept rather long the daughter went in to wake her and take her breakfast as usual, but before ten minutes has elapsed life was extinct. She was seventy-two years old and had been ailing the past two years. Ten children as follows survive: Kate, Ellen, Thomas and Joe at home; John of Campbellsport; Anthony of California; Mrs. Henry Mangan, Mrs. John Mangan, Mrs. Ed. Gariety of Mitchell and Mrs. J.F. Murphy of Milwaukee.

The funeral was held Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock from Parnell Catholic church. Rev. Father Fischer conducted the service.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Jordan and Jay Brogan of West Allis were in attendance at the funeral.

On Monday morning, April 12, passed into the higher life from her home in the town of Mitchell, a woman who will be sadly missed by the good people of this community in the person of Mrs. Mary Naughton, who had lived continuously in the town of Mitchell since 1849. Mrs. Naughton whose maiden name was Mary Jordan, was born near that noted and historical town of Killala in Mayo County, Ireland, in 1837, and came with her parents to the United States, when but 3 months old. She lived with her parents in the Eastern states until 1849, when she came with the family to Wisconsin and settled in the town of Mitchell, where she lived until the time of her death.

In 1855, she was married to Anthony Naughton. To this union 15 children were born, 5 of whom died in childhood. She is survived by 4 sons: John of Campbellsport, Thos. of Milwaukee, Anthony of SanFrancisco, Cal., and Joseph, living on the homestead and six daughters: Mesdames John and Henry Mangan and Ed. Gariety of town of Mitchell, Tim Murphy of Milwaukee and Misses Catherine and Ellen, living at home. Two brothers, Henry Jordan of West Allis and John Jordan of Hays city, Kansas, one sister, Miss Bridget Jordan of Howard, South Dakota, also survive.

In the death of Mrs. Naughton, the town of Mitchell has lost another of its heroic spirits, who came early into the wilderness and struggled earnestly and effectively to convert that wilderness into one of the most beautiful and prosperous regions of our great state. Her part was no less heroic service, for in home-making and the rearing and training of a large family of boys and girls, to become honored and worthy members of the Community, she was a complete success, and the children can fervently say: "blessed be her memory."

Mrs. Naughton was by nature both generous and charitable. She was gentle and unobtrusive in disposition and Christ-like in spirit. She was in the true sense a devout christian woman, not so much in words as in soul and good deeds. She was faithful in all duties of life. She was kind and considerate at all times, and ever loving and good and a faithful and devout member of her church. She had been ailing for some time. The end, though calm and peaceful, was at the time entirely unsuspected, and came as a shocking surprise for her relatives and friends, as she was apparently improving. The immediate cause of death was heart failure.

The funeral was held from St. Michael's church in Mitchell last week Thursday. Requiem high Mass was celebrated by Father Fisher, and interment was made in the adjoining cemetery. The pall bearers were B. Donahue, Jas. Reddington, Patrick Slattery, John Murray, Thos. Reilly and John O'Connell. The funeral was directed by James Gilboy.

The Angel of Death {has} visited our community and {taken} from our midst one of {our} cherished friends an honored and highly respected citizen and one of the old pioneer resident settlers of the town of Mitchell, in the person of Anthony Naughton, who fortified by the sacraments of his church, departed this life on Dec. 12, 1906, in the 84th year of his life.

Mr. Naughton was born near the town of Ballina, Mayo County, Ireland, and when but 16 years of age came to America and settled near the city of Presscott, Canada. From there he went to Vermont, where he lived for some years. From there he moved to the town of Portage in the state of New York. In 1849, in company with his brother-in-law, Henry Franey, he came to Wisconsin and settled in the unbroken wilderness in the town of Mitchell, on the farm on which he continuously lived until the time of his death. He experienced hardships suffered by the first settlers but by hard work and honest industry, he succeeded in accumulating a competency worthy of his efforts.

In 1854, he was married to Miss Mary Jordan of the town of Mitchell. Of this union 15 children were born, five of them dying in infancy and youth. He is survived by his wife, four sons and six daughters as follows: Mrs. Timothy Murphy of Milwaukee, Mesdames John Mangan and Edward Gerity of the town of Mitchell, Mrs. Henry Mangan of Osceola, John of Campbellsport, Thomas of Milwaukee, Anthony of San Francisco, Joseph and Misses Catharine and Ellen, living at home. At his bedside at the time of his death were his wife, Mesdames John and Henry Mangan, Mrs. Gerity, his son, Joseph and the Misses Catharine and Ellen.

Mr. Naughton had ailed only a few days. His death is attributed to heart failure. His mental faculties were unimpaired to the last moment. As one of the first pioneer settlers of the town of Mitchell he took a large and active part in its development. He saw the town grow from the home of the Indian, an unbroken wilderness to become as today, a beautiful farming country of highly cultivated farms dotted with luxurious homes and massive farm buildings which he and such as he helped to build up. "Blessed be the memory to such men." He is the last of the old "forty-niners" of western Mitchell. He and his estimable wife reared a fine and interesting family of sturdy men and women, the members of whom are useful and honored citizens of this and other states. In religion, Mr. Naughton was a Catholic, a faithful member and gave liberally for its support. He was a man of {Article cut off}.

His wife and family have the sincere sympathy of this community in their great bereavement. The funeral was held form St. Michael's church in the town of Mitchell last Saturday. Requiem high Mass was celebrated by Rev. Father Burke. The remains were laid at rest in the adjoining cemetery, the funeral being directed by James Gilboy. The pall bearers were Thomas Mangan, Patrick Gerity {Article cut off}.

The funeral of John Naughton, supervisor and prominent business man of this village, who died at his home on East Main street, December 22nd, was held from St. Matthew's Catholic church Monday morning at ten o'clock. Rev. Father July was celebrant at the Requiem high mass and delivered the funeral sermon. The remains were interred in the Union cemetery.

In his sermon, the Rev. Father July, spoke of the deceased as a man who was held in high esteem by his fellow men. This fact was evidenced by the large edifice of St. Matthew's being taxed to nearly its capacity during the funeral services.

The pall bearers were: E.D. Lester of Milwaukee, J.J. O'Connell of Plymouth, T.L. Johnson of North Ashford, James Ward, Michael Jaeger and William Warden of this village.

The floral offerings were numerous. Besides dozens of beautiful sheaf bouquets, from relatives and friends, there were a number of magnificent set pieces from the members of the county board, wholesale firms and others that had business connections with the man they admired for his excellent character and honest business methods.

Kilcoin, Dundee; Frank Walsh and wife, Leona Gariety, Mrs. Charles Chenney, Dr. Brogan, Mrs. Ellen Jordan and Geraldine Walsh of West Allis; Miss B. Jordan, R. Fitzgerald; T. Kelly, J.M. Smith, John Litscher, Frank and Sarah Caine of Fond du Lac; Mr. and Mrs. John Mangan of Elkhorn; Mrs. Alex Harter of Marathon; Mrs. John Bowan, John Brogan and family of Parnell.

Besides the relatives nearly all members of the county board, many county officers and hundreds of friends from out-of-town came to join {Article cut off}.

Willima R. {sic} Neese, 85, 3616 N. 14th St., formerly of 2807 S. 10th St., died early today at Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness.

He was born in Stettein, Germany on May 15, 1889, a son of the late August and Louise Neese. He came to Sheboygan as a child and attended Bethlehem Lutheran School.

He married the former Lina Gartman on June 8, 1911 in sheboygan. The couple was divorced.

On July 6, 1957 he married Mrs. Alma Zastrow in Sheboygan. She died July 30, 1972.

Mr. Neese farmed in the Town of Wilson for many years and later worked for Kohler Co. for 22 years, retiring in 1954.

He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church.

Survivors include three sons, Donald, Kenneth and Glenn, all of Sheboygan; three daughters, Mrs. Clarence {Wilnora} Raeder, Mrs. Malinda Weber and Mrs. Erma Rohde, all of Sheboygan; 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Arthur and Marvin, both of Sheboygan; two sisters, Mrs. Harold Johnson and Mrs. Helen Otto, both of Sheboygan, and his former wife, Mrs. Lina Austin, Sheboygan.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Ramm-Ziegler Funeral Home. The Rev. William Redeker, pastor of Our Savior Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Tuesday.

A memorial fund has been established in Mr. Neese's name for Our Savior Church.

Gustav J. Nametz, 65, of 3804 Highway 42, North, died at this home Monday night after suffering an apparent heart attack.

He was born Jan. 6, 1917, at Elkhart Lake, a son of Henry and Regina Lavey Nametz. He attended Elkhart Lake schools, graduating from Elkhart Lake High School in 1934. He attended Washington University, St. Louis, Mo.

Mr. Nametz was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U. S. Air Force.

He was associated with the family hardware store in Elkhart Lake before moving to California and Florida, where he lived for several years before returning to Sheboygan.

Mr. Nametz was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church.

Survivors include a brother, Warren, of Kings Park, N. Y.; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

A funeral Mass will be held at 11:15 a.m. at St. George Catholic Church, Elkhart Lake. The Rev. Cletus Kaiser, pastor, will be celebrant of the Mass. Burial will be in the parish cemetery in the Town of Rhine.

Friends may call at Wittkopp Funeral Home, Plymouth, from 3:30 p.m. Friday until 9 a.m. Saturday, and at Resurrection Chapel at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of services.

A parish vigil will be held at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Henry Nuerhenberg, 90 years old and a pioneer of this city, died yesterday afternoon at his home, 1630 Kentucky avenue. General debility was the cause. He was born in Germany and came to this country many years ago and settled in Sheboygan, being one of the early settlers here. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon from his late home at 1:30 o'clock, proceeding to the Immanuel church where services will be conducted by the Rev. George Burger. Interment at the Lutheran cemetery.

Fred Neese, 77, of 1517 Mehrtens Ave., a retired Kohler Co. superintendent, died at 9:30 p.m. Saturday at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. He had been hospitalized since Nov. 6.

Mr. Neese had recently been living with his daughter, Mrs. Frank Stauber, at Erdman.

Born in Germany, July 20, 1879, a son of the late William and Minnie Neese, he came to Sheboygan with his parents when a child of 5.

He attended school in the Town of Wilson and married the former Miss Minnie Gartman, Nov. 10, 1900, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church here.

Mr. Neese was employed by Kohler Co. 47 years, 45 as a warehouse superintendent. He retired in 1950.

He was a member of the Kohler Quarter-Century Club and the Kohler Skat Club.

His wife died in October, 1943.

Surviving, in addition to the above-mentioned daughter, Mrs. Stauber {Lauretta}, are three other daughters, Mrs. John Anderson {Nora}, Town of Sheboygan, Mrs. Arthur Zastrow {Elsie}, Haven, and Mrs. Gust Johnson {Viola}, Town of Plymouth; one son, Ervin, Town of Sheboygan; 33 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are five brothers, Emil, Kohler, and William, Herman, Albert and Richard, all of Sheboygan; and a sister, Mrs. Conrad Martin, Sheboygan.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Fred, two daughters in infancy, two brothers and one sister.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Ballhorn Funeral chapels with the Rev. August Grollmus, pastor of St. John Evangelical and Reformed Church.

Friends may call at the funeral chapels after Tuesday noon.

Funeral services for Fred Neese, 77, 1517 Mehrtens Ave., who died Saturday, were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Ballhorn Funeral Chapels. The Rev. August Grollmus, pastor of St. John's E. and R. Church, officiated and burial was in Wildwood cemetery.

During the services, Otis Weiskopf sang "He Leadeth Me," and "Abide With Me." He was accompanied by Mrs. Otis Weiskopf.

Pallbearers, all members of the Peps and Superior Bowling League of which Mr. Neese was a charter member, and vice-president at the time of death, were Martin Ertel, Nick G. Etzkorn, Arthur A. Hertensteiner, Raymond Mallmann, J. Christ Reinhardt and Arthur Schaaf.

Edwin J. Nesemann, 73, of 155 Daleview Dr., Plymouth, a former Sheboygan Falls jeweler, died Wednesday at Wood Veterans Hospital in Milwaukee where he had been a patient for six days.

He had been ill for the pat two months.

Born Nov. 14, 1894 at Algoma, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Nesemann. He attended schools in Algoma and served his watch-making apprenticeship there.

After operating a jewelry store in Munising, Mich, and then in Sheboygan Falls, Mr. Nesemann went into semi-retirement in 1954. He lived in Plymouth since last August.

His first wife, the former Elsie Soenksen, died in 1951.

On Dec 30, 1956 he married the former Isabelle N. Donovan in Chicago, IL.

Mr. Nesemann served in the U. S. Navy during World War I. He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Church, Plymouth, the Wisconsin Board of Watchmakers, and Frederick-Mueller - Norgaard American Legion Post 149, SHeboygan Falls.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, William and Bernard, both of Plymouth, and Theodore of Baraboo; one daughter, Mrs. William {Helen} Culver of Tampa, Fla, and eight grandchildren.

Two brothera also preceeded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm Saturday at the Wittkopp Funeral Home, Plymouth, the Rev. Robert Bernhardt, associate pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church, Plymouth, officiating. Burial will be in the Sheboygan Falls Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 pm Friday.

Military rites will be conducted at graveside by the Frederick-Mueller - Norgaard American Legion Post of Sheboygan Falls. The Legion post will hold a memorial service at the funeral home at 7 pm Friday. Members are asked to meet at the funeral home at 6:45 pm.

A memorial in Mr. Nesemann's name has been established for the American Cancer Society.

Norbert T. Nass, 82, a resident of Sunny Ridge Nursing Home, died there Saturday evening, May 30, 1999.

Norbert was born March 25, 1917 in Sheboygan to Herman Ernst Nass and Martha {Erbach} Nass.

He married Elizabeth Koestler, who preceded him in death. He married Wilhelmina Schwab of Sheboygan, who preceded him in death on April 27, 1996.

Norbert worked at the Falk Corp. in Milwaukee as a machinist until his retirement.

Norbert was a former member of the Masonic Lodge.

Norb was an avid sports fan, who closely followed the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers.

Survivors include, a daughter and son-in-law; a stepson, a grandson, a brother and other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 1:30 p.m. at Ballhorn Funeral Chapels. Rev. Gregory S. Whelton, pastor of St. John's United Church of Christ, will officiate. Burial will take place in Wildwood Cemetery. A time of visitation and support will be held at Ballhorn's on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.

Alma T. Nyhof, 85, of Oostburg, died at her home early Tuesday, June 1, 1999.

She was born Jan. 21, 1914 in the Town of Lima, the daughter of the late Theodore and Hattie Eernisse Wilterdink. She graduated from Sheboygan Falls High School in 1931.

On Nov. 17, 1938, she married Edward Huibregtse. he preceded her in death on Aug. 10, 1948.

She married Norman Nyhof in Hingham on June 6, 1953.

Alma was a bookkeeper for Hopemans Inc. of Hingham and Wykhuis Foods in Oostburg. She was amember of Frist Reformed Church in Oostburg; Women's Ministries and was a catechism teacher.

Survivors include her husband, one daughter, one son, six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; two sisters, and one brother. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, one brother and one sister.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 4, 1999 at 9:30 a.m. at First Reformed Church in Oostburg with the Rev. Raymond Tilstra, pastor, officiating. Family services will precede at 9:15 a.m. Burial will be in Sheboygan Falls Cemetery.

Henry R. Niemuth Jr., 42, of Route 4, Plymouth, died early today at Valley View Medical Center, Plymouth, after a brief illness. He had been a patient for the past three days.

He was born May 19, 1943, in Sheboygan Falls, a son of Henry F. and Mary Pecnik Niemuth.

He attended Sheboygan Falls elementary and high schools.

On Oct. 19, 1963, he married Karen Streblow in Plymouth. The couple resided in Sheboygan Falls until moving to Plymouth in 1978, where he operated the Sand Piper Supper Club and Niemuth Clothing and Shoes, and presently had operated H&J Outfitters.

He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Plymouth.

Survivors include a son, Tim of Plymouth, a daughter, Jodi of Plymouth; his parents of Sheboygan Falls; four brothers, Marvin and Alfred, both of Sheboygan, Donald of Cleveland and Lawrence of Kiel, and two sisters, Mrs. Harry Polster and Mrs. John Kimme, both of Sheboygan Falls.

An infant son preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Wittkopp Funeral Home, Plymouth. The Rev. Thomas Burton, pastor of St. John Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Sheboygan Falls Cemetery.

Lydia Ella {Stolper} Neumann, 86, of Adell, died Thursday, June 3, 1999 at Rocky Knoll Health Care Facility.

She was born Aug. 31, 1912 in the Town of Sherman, a daughter of the late Otto and Emma Schartau Stolper.

She was baptized on Sept. 8, 1912 and confirmed on March 28, 1926, both by the late Dr. Edmund Huebner at St. John Lutheran Church in Sherman Center. She attended La Follette and St. John's Lutheran School. She then did housework for a number of families and friends and also worked at the Adell Canning Company.

On May 6, 1944, she married Emil Neumann at St. John Lutheran Church in Sherman Center. The couple farmed until 1971, when Mr. Neumann passed away.

Lydia was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Adell and its Ladies Aid. She was also a member of the Adell Senior Citizens and a former volunteer of the Bethesda Thrift Store in Sheboygan. She loved gardening and flowers.

Survivors include two sons, three grandchildren, two nieces and one nephew. She was preceded in death by four brothers.

The funeral service for Lydia Neumann will be held on Monday, June 7, 1999 at 7 p.m. The Rev. Bryan Osladil, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Church, on Monday, from 4 p.m. until the time of services.

Richard Nauth, age 61, of Elkhart Lake, passed away Saturday morning at his home, following a brief struggle with cancer. Funeral arrangements are pending at the Wittkopp Funeral Service in Plymouth, and will be announced on Monday.

Herbert Adolph Nislett, 30, of Sheboygan, Wis., died Dec. 29 at Birmingham Hospital. He is survived by his widow, Bernice. The body will be sent to Sheboygan by the Elmer H. Meyer Funeral Home.

Death Thurs. last week from a stroke of 50-yr. old Capt. W. Nequette, the director of the life saving station in Sheboygan. He was born in Two Rivers and was an exceptional man.

Frank G. Nauschultz, 75, of 1014-A Wilson Ave., died Wednesday afternoon at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He was born June 9, 1904, in Sheboygan, the son of Herman and Helena Roelse Nauschultz. On June 20, 1924, he married Edna M. Simon of Sheboygan. He was employed at the former Hills Department Store for 35 years, retiring in 1969. Mr. Nauschultz was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and a former member of its choir. Survivors are his wife; two sons, Vernon and Frank J. both of Sheboygan; two daughters, Mrs. Glenn {Nancy} Groth, and Mrs. Jerry {Judith} Konik both of Sheboygan, a brother, Bernard of Sheboygan; 14 grandchildren, two step grandchildren and a great-grandson. Seven brothers and a sister preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m: Saturday at Ballhorn Funeral Chapels. The Rev. William N. Redeker, pastor of Our Savior Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Had Served as Postmaster, Republican County Committeeman and as Bank Director Andrew Noll, for many years identified with the hardware and real estate business in this city, died at his home, 75 Brooklyn Heights, shortly before noon Tuesday. Death followed an illness that had confined him to his home for more than a year.

The funeral will be from St. Mary�s church Saturday at 9:30 a.m., Rev. H. E. Hunck officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary�s cemetery.

Mr. Noll was born in Huebelungen, Germany, July 17, 1860. At the age of 20 he emigrated to America, settling at Cascade, Sheboygan county, Wis., where he obtained employment in a hardware store conducted by an uncle. From there he went to Seymour where, in company with Gilbert Stewart, he went into the hardware business.

About 1890 Mr. Noll and his partner came to this city and opened a hardware store. A year or two later Mr. Noll bought out his partner and became sole proprietor. Later he sold out to his brother, Jacob Noll, Anton Egerer and Edward Plank. Following his retirement from the hardware business he entered the real estate and insurance business which he followed until a little more than a year ago when impaired health compelled him to retire.

Mr. Noll for several years held the position of chairman of the Republican county committee. He served as postmaster for two terms, a period of eight years. He became a director of the Chilton National bank shortly after its organization and served in that capacity up to the time of his death. At the recent annual meeting of the bank Mr. Noll, though incapacitated for active work, was re-elected.

Mr. Noll married Miss Ida Ruppenthal of Kiel in 1889.

Mrs. Walter Nell, 39, of 609 Leavens avenue, Sheboygan Falls, passed away suddenly at 9:45 a.m. Sunday at the St. Nicholas hospital.

Nee Marcella Heus, she was born Sept. 5, 1904, in Jihnsburg, Minn., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Heus. On April 17, 1923, she was married to Walter Nett at Holy Rosary church in New Holstein by the Rev. Father Kuborn.

She was a member of St. Mary�s Catholic church of Sheboygan Falls and of its Christian� Mothers and Altar Society.

Survivors are her husband; two daughters, one son, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Heus of Sheboygan Falls; three brothers and five sisters, Alphonse of Sheboygan, Corp. Frederik serving somewhere in the Southwest Pacific, Norbert of Sheboygan Falls, Mrs. George {Leona} Reardon of Hurley, Mrs. Ed {Margaret} Laurence of Muskegon Heights, Mich., Mrs. Edward {Marie} Ulik of Pewaukee, Miss Virginia of Milwaukee, and Miss Annabelle at home; 13 nephews and nieces. One sister passed away in infancy.

The body was taken to the Dean Funeral home at Sheboygan Falls and full particulars as to the time of services will appear in Tuesday�s Press.

Michael Nauth, one of the well-known former residents of the town of Rhine, Sheboygan county, passed to his reward on Saturday morning, at his home in Elkhart Lake, after a lingering illness of several years with cancer of the stomach. Decedent was born December 4, 1856, in the town of Rhine, where he grew to manhood. He was married in 1882 to Mary Kissinger, and the couple settled on a farm in that town, where they resided until 1907, when they disposed of the place and moved to Elkhart Lake to live in retirement. Mr. Nauth is survived by his widow and three daughters, Mrs. Julius Kestell of Elkhart Lake, Anna and Ella at home. Also two brothers, Geo. Nauth of Kiel and Daniel Nauth of Kansas City, Mo., and two sisters, Mrs. Chas. Hecker of Plymouth and Mrs. Carl Schueler of Elkhart Lake. The funeral took place on Tuesday afternoon from the home, Rev. Zeh of the Ev. church officiating. Interment in the cemetery, one mile east of Elkhart Lake.

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Groh, Mr. and Mrs. John Miller, Mrs. John Koenig and daughter, all went to Sheboygan Tuesday to attend the funeral of their relative G. Nytes, who was killed in a sawmill accident in Mattoon, Wisconsin.

Lafaette Nelson this morning received the news of the death of his son, George Nelson, 32, in a special message dispatched from Michigan City, Indiana, where he was employed by the Northern Indiana Public Service company.

The body will be shipped to Plymouth where funeral services will be held, arrangements for which have not as yet been made.

Mr. Nelson was well known in the town of Greenbush where he was a frequent visitor.

A special dispatch this morning brought the following details of the tragedy:

A severe electrical storm accompanied by high wind last night caused electrocution of George Nelson, as he was splicing wires. The power was shut off by a substation attendant while the body of Nelson, lineman for the Public Service company, was taken from the wires.

The storm uprooted trees, broke down telephone poles and damaged small buildings.

Mrs. Minnie Neese, 1530 N. Fourth street, died Wednesday at 4 p.m. following a stroke of apoplexy. She was 71 years old.

Born in Germany on February 17, 1856, Mrs. Neese spent the early years of her life in her native country, but resided in Sheboygan many years.

Seven sons, Emil, Oscar, William, Richard, Albert, Herman and Fred Neese; two daughters, Mrs. Alvin Nack, Jr., and Mrs. Conrad Martin and one sister, Mrs. Herman Nix, all of Sheboygan, survive. Her husband died several years ago.

The funeral will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. with services at the Alvin Nack home, 1626 Mehrtens avenue. The Rev. E.R. Krueger will officiate. Interment will be made in Lutheran cemetery.

Frederick Neese, 67, passed away Tuesday evening at the family home, 1217 1/2 Georgia avenue, after an illness of several months.

Mr. Neese was born on January 10, 1858, in Germany, and came to the United States forty-three years ago. He settled in the state of Indiana and two years later came to this city. Since that time he has made his home here.

The survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Walter Levandowsky, this city; Mrs. Henry Dettman, Milwaukee, and Miss Frieda Neese, Milwaukee; three sons, Edward Schultz, Milwaukee, and Frank and Hugo Neese, this city, and six grandchildren. One sister, Mrs. Henry Kuether, this city, and a brother, August Neese, this city, also survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the late home. Rev. W.W. Wambsganss will officiate and burial will be made in the Lutheran cemetery.

Funeral services for Mrs. Augusta Neumann, widow of Julius Neumann, who passed away at Sheboygan Memorial hospital Thursday morning will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Ramm Funeral home, the Rev. H. H. Wegner officiating. Burial will be made in the Lutheran cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home beginning this evening.

The body of a Sheboygan man was found Sunday morning in the cab of a truck parked in a garage at the rear of a home at 2421 Indiana Ave.

The victim was identified as William H. Neese Jr., 40, of 1105-A S. 16th St.

Dr. Reed M. Simpson, Sheboygan County coroner, attributed death to carbon monoxide poisoning. He ruled the death a suicide.

Police said the body was discovered by Louis Weber, a brother-in-law of Neese, whose cattle truck was parked in a garage at the Weber home.

A piece of garden hose was attached to the tail pipe of the truck and extended through a side window into the cab of the truck. The body was found about 9:30 a.m.

A son of William and Lina Neese, Mr. Neese was born March 14, 1919, at Kohler. He attended Kohler public schools and was employed at the Kohler Co. until 1939 when he enlisted in the U.S. Army.

He was married to Miss Carlotta Schafer at Galesburg, Mich. on Oct. 29, 1941.

Following his discharge from the Army in 1944, Mr. Neese returned to Sheboygan to make his home. He was employed at various places, most recently at the Electric Sprayit division of Thomas Industries Inc.

Survivors are his wife; a son, ..., and a daughter, ..., at home; his parents; three brothers, Donald, Kenneth and ..., and three sisters, ..., Mrs. Louis Weber and ..., all of Sheboygan.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Ramm Funeral Home. Burial will be made in the family lot in Wildwood Cemetery.

The body will lie in state at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Mrs. Louise Dorothy Neese, widow of August Neese, passed away on Tuesday evening at 7:30 o�clock at her home at 1123 High avenue, at the age of 78.

She was born in Wiltersdorf, Germany, on Nov. 14, 1864, and was married to August Neese on March 23, 1881. The family came to this country in 1891 and settled in this city.

She was a home-loving mother, devoted to her family and was a faithful member of St. Andrew�s church. Her husband preceded her in death in November, 1931.

Mrs. Neese is survived by eight children, three daughters and five sons. They are: Mrs. Herman (Helen) Otto; Mrs. August (Frieda) Kohls; Mrs. Milton (Auralia) Pelke; Albert, William, Richard, Arthur and Marvin, all of this city. Seventeen grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren also survive. One son died in infancy.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday afternoon at 1:30 at the Ramm Funeral home, and at 2 o�clock at St. Andrew�s church. The Rev. Martin Heuter will officiate and burial will be made in Lutheran cemetery.

The infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Gottlieb Niesing, Jr., 1022 Union avenue, passed away at birth Saturday evening at the Memorial hospital. He is survived by his parents, a brother, Peter, age 2, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Gottlieb Niesing, Sr., and Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Thun, all of this city.

Funeral services were held this afternoon at 2 o�clock at the Ramm Funeral home with the Rev. George C. Kuhn officiating. Burial was made in the Lutheran cemetery.

Mrs. Amelia Kornely Naumann, 89, of Manitowoc Rapids, died Sunday afternoon at Antigo.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Ramm Funeral Home, and at 10 a.m. at St Peter Klaver Catholic Church, Sheboygan. The Rev. George Hopf will officiate and burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Sheboygan.

Mrs. Naumann was born November 1, 1884 at Manitowoc, daughter of the late August and Louise Schumacher. She was married to Joseph G Kornely November 24, 1902 at Manitowoc, moving to the Antigo area in 1904. In 1919, they moved to the Town of Norwood, where they operated a farm until they retired in 1944 and moved to Sheboygan. Mr. Kornely preceded her in death November 14, 1944. She was married to Edward Naumann February 23, 1946 at Sheboygan. They moved to Manitowoc Rapids where they resided until Mr. Naumann�s death February 21, 1974. She was a member of St Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc.

Survivors include a son, Elmer Kornely, of Chicago and a step-son, Leo Naumann, of Baldwin Par, Calif; five daughters, Mrs. Mabel Flannery of Pelican Lake WI, Mrs. Grace Gschwind of Chicago, Mrs. Doris Gschwind of Roselle IL, Mrs. Bernice Ver Haagh of Antigo and Mrs. Maxine Van Price of Menasha; two step-daughters, Mrs. Mary Hessel and Mrs. Edith Luedtke of Manitowoc; 51 grandchildren, 96 great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren. Two sons, Clarence and Everett Kornely, and two daughters, Mrs. Florence Hendricks and Mrs. Marie Harder, and a step-son, Paul Naumann, preceded her in death.

Leroy H. Neumann, 32, of 1021 Los Angeles Ave., was killed instantly Wednesday at 9:20 p.m. in a traffic mishap on Highway 141 about two and a half miles south of the city.

Dr. Reed M. Simpson, Sheboygan County coroner, stated death was due to a broken neck.

According to County Traffic Officers Neuman was driving north in a 1950 Oldsmobile, and marks at the scene showed that he left the road on the left side of the highway and rode in the ditch for 153 feet and then skidded across the highway and into the ditch on the right side where the car struck a bank and Neumann was thrown from the vehicle.

The car then continued for another 57 feet before coming to a stop. Officers said the car appeared to be out of control for a distance of 363 feet overall, and was a complete wreck. He was alone in the car at the time of the mishap.

The body was taken to the county morgue by Rudy's ambulance.

This was the 13th traffic fatality in Sheboygan county since the first of the year.

Born in the town of Wilson on May 13, 1923, the son of August and Anna Neumann, he attended the Harmony School and later Oostburg High School.

He was employed by the Sheboygan Truck Leasing Co. for the past nine years. He had been chief of the Black River Fire Department from 1951 to 1954 and was a member of the Deputy Sheriff Association, Terry's breakfast Club and the Shamrock Club. Just recently he moved to the Sheboygan address from Route 3, Sheboygan.

On March 10, 1945, he was married to Miss Dorothy Knier of Sheboygan and she survives him together with a daughter, Marilyn; his parents and a brother Raymond.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 8 o'clock this evening until the time of services.

Funeral services for LeRoy Neumann, of 1021 Los Angeles avenue, who passed away of injuries in an automobile accident on Wednesday, were held at 3 p.m., Saturday, at the Ramm Funeral home.

The Rev. Harold Wageman of Christ Lutheran Church, officiated, and burial was made in the family lot in Flader's Rest cemetery, town of Wilson.

Honorary pallbearers, all members of the Black River Fire department, were Robert Bersch, Al Reimer, Cecil Hemschmeyer, Harold Beeck, Carl Wilke and Ed Hebard.

Active pallbearers were Donald Mueller, Edward Zenglaub, Wilmer Jens, Robert Roehrborn, Milton Grunwald and Lloyd Gartmann.

During the services William H. Senkbeil sang, 'The Lord Is My Shepherd', and 'Let Me Be Thine Forever'. He was accompanied by Mrs. Jerome Hardy.

August F. Neumann, retired Town Wilson farmer, passed away at the Memorial Hospital on Tuesday afternoon.

He was born in the town of Wilson on Dec. 22, 1878, the son of Friederich and Bertha Neumann. He attended Trinity school and later took up farming, a profession he followed the rest of his life with the exception of four years when the family lived in Sheboygan.

He was married to Miss Anna Johnson on Nov. 7, 1903, in the town of Wilson. The couple celebrated their golden anniversary in 1953. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Town Wilson.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Raymond, on the homestead; and two grandchildren.

His parents, one son, Leroy, a brother and a sister preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, at the Trinity Lutheran Church, town of Wilson. The Rev. Waldemar Stoehr will officiate and burial will be made in Flader's Rest cemetery.

The body will lie in state at the Ramm Funeral home from Thursday noon until 11 a.m., Friday, when it will be removed to the church to lie in state from 11:30 a.m. until the hour of services.

Funeral services for August F. Neumann, 76, retired Town of Wilson farmer, who died the past Tuesday, were held Friday afternoon at Trinity Lutheran Church, Town of Wilson.

The Rev. Waldemar Stoehr, pastor, officiated, with burial in Flader's Rest Cemetery.

The church choir sang "Abide With Me" and "A Faithful Shepherd is My Lord."

Pallbearers were Marvin Hessler, Henry Malewiski, Herbert Gartmann, Anthony Gartmann, Marlin Mueller and Frederick Roehrborn.

Neumann: - Albert Neumann, aged 38 years, died Wednesday, June 1, at the home of his brother August, 1616 Illinois avenue. Besides his brother August he leaves one sister Mrs. Fred Koeppen and his parents Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Neumann of the town of Wilson, where the funeral was held Sunday afternoon, the Rev. Oesch officiating. Interment in Flader's Rest cemetery.

Mrs. Gerhard Neuhaus, 93, died shortly after noon Tuesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Marie Oehldrich, Rt. 1, Cleveland, with whom she made her home for the past two years. She had been ill only a short time.

Nee Louisa Ortmeyer, she was born Aug 3, 1862, in the Town of Centerville, and was married to Gerhard Neuhaus in 1881. After their marriage they live in Newton until 1909 and then move to Colby, Wis. Her husband died July 4, 1944.

Survivors are six sons, William of Colby, Herbert of Abbotsford, Richard of Genoa City, Paul of Midlothian, Ill, and Otto of Cleveland; five daughters, Mrs. Marie Oehldrich of Cleveland, Mrs. Amos (Mathilda) Miller of Elkhart Lake, Mrs. Fred (Alvina) Miller of Curtiss, Wis., Mr. Edwin (Hulda) Strade of Abbotsford and Mrs. Walter (Ella) Baumgartner of Colby; 63 grandchildren and two great grandchild, Five children also receded her in death.

The body was taken to the Stoltenberg Funeral Home and today was removed to the Lulloff Funeral Chapel at Colby, Wis., to lie in state until the services which will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Evangelical Reformed Church there.

Funeral services for Mrs. Gerhard Neuhaus, 93, who passed away at the home of her daughter, Mr. Marie Oehldrich, at route 1, Cleveland, where she had resided the past two years, were held at the Evangelical Reformed Church in Colby, on Friday afternoon. The Reverend Victor Grossheuch officiated, and burial was made in the Pine Hills Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Oscar Edrman, Albert Vircks, Henry Gosse, Henry Voighlander, Ted Frome, and Herbert Meyer.

Mrs. Anna Neumann, 86, of R. 1, Oostburg, died Sunday at Sheboygan County Hospital where she had been a patient for the past month.

Born May 31, 1883, at Sheboygan, daughter of the late Edward and Anna Johnson, she attended Sheboygan public school and was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran church, Town Wilson.

On Nov. 7, 1903, she married August Neumann at Trinity Lutheran Church. He died in 1955.

Mrs. Neumann was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the Golden Agers, and the Ladies Aid Society of the church.

Survivors include a son, ...; two grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Another son preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Town of Wilson, with the Rev. John Rische, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the family lot in Fladers Rest Cemetery in Wilson.

Friends may call at the Ramm-Ziegler Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Tuesday and until 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, and at the church from 11 a.m. until time of services.

A heart attack caused the sudden death of Harry C. Nash, manager of the Elks' club, Sunday afternoon.

He became ill at the clubhouse and died about 1:30 o'clock at his home, 72 Central avenue. Mr. Nash had been manager of the club more than a year.

He was born at Glenbeulah, Wis., March 11, 1881, but spent his entire life in this city. The late Harvey Nash, his father, was a pioneer Oshkosh groceryman, who was born at Pickett and lived in Winnebago county his whole life.

Surviving him are the widow; one daughter, Patricia; a son, Robert; one sister, Mrs. Paul Lindeman, of Minneapolis, and one brother, George Nash, of Duluth, Minn.

Mr. Nash was a prominent member of the Elks' order.

The remains will be at the home until Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock and after 10:30 will lie in state at the clubhouse, until funeral services are held under auspices of the lodge Tuesday at 2:30 p.m., in the clubhouse. Burial will take place at Riverside cemetery.

Nash - Funeral services for Harry C. Nash, Elks' club manager, were held this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the clubhouse. Services of the lodge were held, Rev. Joseph N. Barnett officiating. A large delegation of members of the lodge attended. Burial took place at Riverside cemetery. Pallbearers were George J. Fisher, Francis E. Nolan, John C. Thompson, Mayor Taylor G. Brown, Charles Froeling of Fond du Lac, and Frank Schuster of Milwaukee. Vocal selections were presented by Sam E. Ogle, with piano accompaniment by Walter J. Crawford.

Roger B. Nauschultz, 43, of 3146 Geele Ave., died Monday afternoon in Sheboygan Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient three days. He had been in failing health for three months.

Mr. Nauschultz had been employed as a resin cooker for Plastic Engineering Co. for 8-1/2 years until this past February.

He was born July 25, 1930 in Sheboygan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Nauschultz.

He attended U.S. Grant School, graduated from North High School in 1948 and attended Lakeland College for 3-1/2 years.

Mr. Nauschultz served in Germany with the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1955.

He married Arlene Staabs of Sheboygan on Sept. 5, 1959.

He was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his widow; a son, Michael, and two daughters, Julie and Lynn, all at home; his parents, Sheboygan; a brother, Donald, of Alhambra, Calif., and a sister, Miss Doris Nauschultz of Sheboygan.

He was preceded in death by one sister.

Private funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Ballhorn Funeral Chapels with the Rev. John Rische, chaplain of Memorial Hospital, officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

A memorial fund has been established in Mr. Nauschultz name.

John Niklas, 72, of 1906 N. 6th St., died Friday evening at Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.

He was born Nov. 24, 1886, in Germany, a son of the late Mathias and Marryane Niklas. In 1919, he married Miss Sophie Grundgeiger. The couple lived in Cologne, Germany, until 1953 where he operated a shoe factory for many years.

Since coming to the U.S. in 1953, the couple made their home with a daughter, Miss Marlan Niklas.

He was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church.

Survivors are his wife; two sons, Willie and Paul, both in Germany; two daughters, Miss Marlan Niklas of Sheboygan, Mrs. William (Anne) Richmann of Albuquerque, N.M., and three brothers, Mathias, Sylvester and Joseph, all in Germany. One brother preceded him in death.

Service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Ballhorn Funeral Chapels. The Rev. Anthony J. Knackert, pastor of Holy Name Church, will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after Sunday noon.

Hilbert Nelesen, 46, passed away suddenly at his home, 513 Center avenue, Monday afternoon. He had been in ill health for the past 13 years.

Born in Sheboygan on September 16, 1904, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Nelesen. He attended Holy Name school. His marriage to Anna Behrens was solemnized at Athens, Ill, on July 5, 1923. He was employed at the Hensel Transfer company and later operated a fish market on Center avenue. Before his illness he was working for the Schwarz Fish company and the Smith company.

He was a faithful member of St. Clement's parish and of its Holy Name society.

Survivors are his wife; six children, Mrs. Victor (Rosemary) See and Donald Nelesen of this city, and Richard, Carol, John and Joseph at home; three grandchildren; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Nelesen; and a brother, Lambert, all of Sheboygan.

Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Thursday at Gerend's Funeral home, followed by a requiem high mass at 9 a.m. at St. Clement's church. Fr. John J. Carroll, pastor, will be the celebrant and burial will take place in Calvary cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from Wednesday noon until the hour of the services.

The Holy Name society of St. Clement's will recite the rosary at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Mrs. Ruth Newing, 99, widow of the late Rev. William A., a former pastor at the First Methodist Church in Sheboygan, died early today at Bethesda Nursing Home.

She was the mother of Mrs. Clarence F. Whiffen, 108 Lake Ct. She had resided with the Whiffens prior to going to the nursing home in April, 1965.

The former Ruth A. Brasure, she was born at Hartford (Washington County), Nov. 5, a daughter of the late William and Mary Brasure.

When six months of age she moved with her parents to a farm near Hingham, attended district school in the Town of Holland and later the former Oshkosh Normal. Following graduation she taught rural school in Sheboygan County for a short time.

In 1888 she was married to Joel A. Griswold at Hingham, following which the couple moved to Sheboygan where her husband conducted a retail milk business on N. 6th Street until his death in October, 1914.

In 1931 she was married to the Rev. Mr. Newing, who had been pastor of First Methodist Church here in the early 1900s, serving elsewhere after that. Mr. Newing retired from the ministry in 1934 and the couple lived in Penney Farms, Fla., where he died in 1942.

Mrs. Newing was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church in Hingham and Sheboygan and was a charter member of the Women's Missionary Society of the Sheboygan church, now a branch of the Women's Society for Christian Service.

In addition to Mrs. Whiffen, she is survived by seven grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and a brother, Howard E. Brasure, 91, of Kohler, a retired elementary school principal there.

Her only son, the late Leslie J. Griswold, died at Earlville, Ill, in April, 1960.

Services will be at the Ballhorn Funeral Chapels at 10 a.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Dr. T. Parry Jones, minister of the First Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Hingham Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral chapels after 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Joseph G. Ney, 68, former Sheboygan resident, died of a lingering illness Saturday morning at his Milwaukee home.

Mr. Ney, a native of Holy Cross (Ozaukee County), was a former mechanical engineer for Kohler Co. some 17 years before moving to Milwaukee where he was employed in similar work by the Allis-Chalmers Co. until ill health forced his retirement early this year.

When in Sheboygan the Ney family resided on S. 15th St. and belonged to St. Peter Claver Parish.

Mr. Ney married the former Olivia Jetzer of Sheboygan, Oct. 13, 1926, at Holy Name Church here.

Surviving are his wife; four sons, Dr. James. E., a physician, Dr. John W., a dentist, and Luke, all of Milwaukee, and Earl, Cedarburg; four daughters, Mrs. Al (Constance) Pilz, Warren, Pa., Mrs. Robert (Louise) Kohls of Appleton, Mrs. David (Nancy) Law and Miss Mary, Milwaukee, and a number of grandchildren.

He also leaves three brothers, William, Milwaukee, Edward of Selden, Kan., and Nicholas of Caldwell, Idaho, and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Kultgen of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Mrs. Rose Stern of Grafton and Mrs. Anne Stern of Milwaukee.

The requiem Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Catherine's Catholic Church, W. Center St., Milwaukee, following 9:30 family rites at the Becker Funeral Home. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Adell - Survivors of Carol Linda Navis, 17-month-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Navis, who died April 7 at St. Nicholas hospital, include her parents, a brother, Wayne, and a sister, Marilyn, 3. Services were held at the home and at Hingham Reformed church on April 10, with interment in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Herman Ellanora Nicolaus, 75, of 314 Elizabeth St., Plymouth, died at 4:15 p.m., Friday at her home following a heart attack.

She was born July 7, 1884, in Adell, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Ferk. On Jan. 1, 1906, she was married to Herman Nicolaus at Sherman Center. The couple lived in Random Lake until 1917 when they moved to Plymouth.

She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church at Plymouth, and the Ladies Aid Society of the Church.

Survivors are her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Elmer (Golde) Bub, Mrs. William (Lita) Fischer, both of Sheboygan, Mrs. Thomas (Eunice) Hinz of Beloit; four sons, the Rev. Marvin Nicolaus of Markam, Ill., Ruben of Sheboygan, Harvey and Gordon of Plymouth; 21 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A daughter, Norma, and a brother, Herbert, preceded her in death.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Plymouth. The Rev. H.W. Baxmann, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Wittkopp Funeral Home in Plymouth from 2 p.m. Sunday until 11 a.m. Monday and then at the church beginning at noon.

Members of the Ladies Aid Society are asked to meet at the church to attend the services in a group.

Mrs. Evangeline Anna Nehring, 58, of 730 Buffalo St., Sheboygan Falls, died Wednesday night at St. Nicholas Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Born May 24, 1908, in Sheboygan Falls, she was a daughter of the late Theodore and Laura Prange Wachter. She attended Sheboygan Falls Grade and High School.

On Sept. 21, 1949, she was married to George Nehring in Milwaukee.

Mrs. Nehring was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Sheboygan Falls, the Ladies Aid Society of the church, and taught in the Sunday school for many years.

Survivors include her husband; two step-daughters, Mrs. Cyril (Georgine) Baldock of Sheboygan and Mrs. Clarence (Kathleen) Zinkgraf of San Antonia, Tex.; and a brother, Delmore Wachter, Plymouth.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Sheboygan Falls, the Rev. Albert Albertin, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Sheboygan Falls Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dean-Huehns Funeral Home, Sheboygan Falls, after 4 p.m. Friday and at the church from noon until the hour of services on Saturday.

John Niesing Sr., 74, of 1007 N. 16th St., a retired Newton farmer, died at 9:50 a.m. today at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.

He had been confined to the hospital for the past five days.

Born July 27, 1885, at Stahl, Russia, a son of the late John and Elizabeth Niesing, he was confirmed in the Lutheran faith and on Nov. 23, 1906, was married to Miss Helen Krutch at Stahl.

The couple settled in Maywood, Ill., after coming to America in 1912, and then were engaged in farming in Manitowoc County near Newton for 22 years.

After moving to Sheboygan in 1944, Mr. Niesing was employed at the C. Reiss Coal Co. until his retirement in 1950. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Survivors are his wife; two sons, Alex of Sheboygan, and John Jr., Milwaukee; three daughters, Mrs. William (Frieda) Selke, Sheboygan, Mrs. Elmer (Marie) Eckert, Hayward, Calif., and Mrs. Paul (Emma) Stuckmann, Milwaukee; seven grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Two sons, one granddaughter and one great-grandson preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Arnold E. Wenger, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the family lot in Lutheran Cemetery.

The body will lie in state at the Ballhorn Funeral Chapels from 2 p.m. Friday until 11 a.m. Saturday, and at the church from Saturday noon until the hour of services.

Sheboygan-Mrs. Marie Neumeister, 84, widow of Louis Neumeister, pioneer wagon maker of this city, is dead of heart trouble.

Michael A. Noetzel, of this city, passed away at the Plymouth hospital, Tuesday evening after a brief illness at his home on Smith street.

Deceased was forty-four, years of age being born March 10, 1878.

In 1906 he was married to Miss Hattie Kay of Sheboygan, who with two daughters; Ruth 14, and Marie 11, survive him.

Mr. Noetzel, until his illness prevented him had been foreman in the finishing department of Plymouth Furniture company.

He was an earnest faithful workman and in respect for him the factory closed on Friday afternoon to allow his fellow workmen to attend the funeral, which was at 2 o'clock at the home in charge of the Cassia Lodge of Masons of this city of which Mr. Noetzel was a member.

The body was taken to Sheboygan for burial.

John Nelson, 52 years old, passed away at St. Nicholas Hospital at 7:15 o'clock Tuesday night after suffering with blood poisoning which resulted from a cut in his hand. Nelson was a sailor here. He came here from Norway not long ago with his second wife, with whom he was united in marriage about a year ago, just before coming here. He had been fishing from this port the past season. He leaves an infant child, besides his wife. The decedent was born in Arnal, Norway, on October 13, 1857. He resided at 1440 South Ninth street. Funeral arrangements are not complete, at this writing.

The funeral of John Nelson who died Tuesday of blood poisoning in St. Nicholas Hospital will be held Friday afternoon at two o'clock from his late home 1440 S. 9th st. Burial will be in Wildwood cemetery. Rev. Burger will officiate.
