Mrs. Louise Scheller Schultz, 81, who had been making her home with her daughter, Mrs. Minnie Berg, 913 S. Blodgett St, the past five years, was found dead in bed at 3:30am Sun. at the home of her brother-in-law, Louis Scheller, McMillan. Pulmonary embolism was given as the cause of death.

The body will lie in state at the Rembs Funeral Home beginning this evening and funeral services will be conducted there Wed. afternoon at 2 o'clock by the Rev. Raymond H. Browe of Zion Evengelical Church. Burial will take place in Hillside Cemetery.

Mrs. Schultz, nee Skuelski was born in Germany Aug. 1, 1865 and lived in the vicinity the past 38 years. She was married in 1889 at Chaska, MN. to Edward Scheller, who died in 1915 and in 1927 she married Gustave Schultz at Sheboygan and he died in 1939.

Surviving are a son, William Scheller, Marshfield; two daughters, Mrs. Minnie Berg, Marshfield and Mrs. Jesse {Lena} Colburn, Shawano; a sister Mrs. Ernestine Kerwin, Sheboygan; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Her parents, Mr. and Mrs Edwin Skuelski, a brother and two sisters also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Rose Schunk, 75, of 1460 S. 14th St., Sheboygan, died Saturday at St. Nicholas Hospital, Sheboygan.

Funeral services will be at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Ballhorn Funeral Chapels, Sheboygan. The Rev. George Mohr will officiate and burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Sheboygan.

Mrs. Schunk was born June 16, 1891, in the Town of Centerville, daughter of the late Conrad and Sophia Stock, and was married to William Schunk of Sheboygan Dec. 20, 1924. He died Oct. 14, 1949.

Survivors include four brothers, Arthur and Adolph Stock, of Manitowoc, Walter, of Centerville, and William, of the Town of Newton, and two sisters, Mrs. Ida Stefaneie, of Sheboygan, and Mrs. Otto Bruckschen, of the Town of Newton. A sister preceded her in death.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Monday.

Death in Sheboygan on Fri. of last week of Mrs. Caroline Scheurel at the age of 78 yrs. 2 mos. The deceased, who was born in Schlesia, where her husband died 18 yrs. ago, came to America in 1890 and settled in Sheboygan. She is survived by 3 sons and 2 daughters, of whom 2 sons live here in Manitowoc, while the other 3 children still live in Europe. The funeral was held Mon. at the Catholic Cemetery in Sheboygan.

Mrs. Elizabeth G. Slade, aged 89 years, sister of Mrs. C.F. Dillingham, died at her home, 406 North Marengo avenue, Pasadena, Cal, on Tuesday January 7, 1919. Mrs. Slade formerly lived at Glenbeulah and Sheboygan.

Hyram H. Smith of Sheboygan Falls, the well-known cheese maker, died suddenly in Hilbert.

After a long illness, Mrs. Christian {Josephine} Scheibe died last Thurs, Jan. 14 in Sheboygan. The deceased was born 21 Feb. 1834 in Bavaria. She and Mr. Scheibe were residents of Centerville for 23 yrs. where Mr. Scheibe operated a brewery. The brewery burned down about 9 yrs. ago, following which Mr. and Mrs. Scheibe moved to Sheboygan to live with their daughter Mrs. Adam Pfeiler. Mrs. Scheibe has been ill for almost 9 yrs., so her death may be considered a release. She is survived by her sorrowing husband and 4 married children. The funeral took place in Sheboygan on Sat. afternoon.

Death of 52 yr. old Nordheim resident August Siglinski following an operation in the hospital in Sheboygan. The burial took place Sat. in Sheboygan.

Herman L. Schumacher, 82, formerly of 336 Euclid Ave., died suddenly at 5:05 p.m. Friday at Sunny Ridge where he and his wife had been residing.

A native of the Town of Greenville {Manitowoc County} he was born Nov. 16, 1879, a son of the late Carl and Louise Schumacher.

He attended district school and was confirmed in St. Mark's E and R Church in the Town of Mosel.

His marriage to Miss Nora Johanning of the Town of Plymouth took place Nov. 11, 1915, following which the couple resided in Sheboygan.

Until retiring in the late 1930's, Mr. Schumacher had been employed in the former Allen A knitting mills here.

He was a member of Zion United Church of Christ.

Surviving are his wife; two sons, Hilmar C., Sheboygan, and Carl E., a daughter, Mrs. Donald Kielsmeier {Lorraine}, Sheboygan, and four grandchildren.

Two sisters and two brothers preceded him in death.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Ballhorn Funeral Chapels with the Rev. George Mohr, pastor of Zion Church, officiating. Burial is to be in Wildwood Cemetery.

Friends may call at Ballhorn's after 2 p..m. Sunday.

Oscar Schumacher, 89, formerly of Howards Grove, died at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center Friday afternoon. He had been a resident there since October 1977.

He was born Dec. 17, 1892, son of Simon and Anna Arnhoelter Schumacher.

On Nov. 13, 1915, he married Lillie Erbstoeszer. They celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in 1980.

He farmed the Schumacher homestead farm until his retirement.

He was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ, Town of Herman.

Survivors are his wife, of Rocky Knoll; three daughters, Mrs. Elmer {Mildred} Kueter of Howards Grove, Mrs. Robert {Virginia} Barret of Ocala, Fla., Mrs. Lyle {Delores} Reichardt of Kiel; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one grandchild, one brother, two sisters and one step-sister.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Immanuel United Church of Christ, Town of Herman. The Rev. Clarence Schmidt will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at the Ahrens Funeral Home, Howards Grove, from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday, until 11 a.m. Tuesday and at the church from noon until time of services.

A memorial fund has been established in Mr. Schumacher's name.

Benold A. Schwartz, 77, a colorful and well known figure in the Elkhart Lake resort area for many years, died Sunday morning at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Schwartz, who formerly operated an ice cream parlor and boat livery in the village, was brought to the hospital with a heart ailment about 10 days ago. Never having married, he had been living alone at 156 Lake St. in Elkhart since the death of sister, Adella, in March, 1962. Known as "Benny" to his host of friends among the villagers and summer residents of the lake, Mr. Schwartz and his late sister owned and operated the Tern and Anchor from 1910 until they retired and sold the business in 1950.

Benny, a native of Elkhart Lake, was "born" into the lake excursion business. His father, the late William P. Schwartz- known as "Cap"-operated several sightseeing boats on the lake well before the turn of the century. Among them were the Queen, the Hope, the Alma and the Ahoy.

The Ahoy, originally an Italian banana boat, was brought to Elkhart Lake by the son folowing the 1934 Chicago world fair. It was equipped with a horn and bell. For many years, as the excursion boat circled the lake, youngsters on shore set up a chant, "Toot your horn and ring your bell!", and "Benny" always obliged. the cry became something of a legend on Elkhart Lake.

The boat was purchased and rebuilt by Fred Brummeyer of Plymouth in 1965.

Headquarters for the Schwartz fleet operated by Benny, and by his father before him, was a huge pier below the Tern and Anchor along the northeast shore of the lake.

Along with his excursion and boat livery business, Benny devoted much time to his favorite hobbies-oil painting and collecting Indian artifacts.

His home in the village contains an extensive collection of Indian arrowheads, tomahawks and other relics of early day Sheboygan County, many of which he picked up on his numerous hikes through the Town of Rhine countryside.

Among his oil paintings are several of French explorers coming down the Fox River to trade with Indians.

One Elkhart Lake summer resident who knew him well said, "Benny was a walking encyclopedia. He was well versed on the weather, flowers, fish, boats, and the outdoors in general. Although a great conversationalist, he was a modest man...and not a bragger.

During World War I he served overseas with the U.S. Army, following which he was superintendent of a now abandoned lime kilns north of the village for five years. He later lived in Chicago for several years.

Mr. Schwartz was born in Elkhart, March 27, 1890. His mother's maiden name was Louise LaBudde.

He was a member of World Cheese Center Post 5612, Veterans of Foreign Wars, at Plymouth, and for many years was a Boy Scout leader in Elkhart. An Episcopalian, he attended services in the small All Saints Chapel on the northwest shore of the lake.

His only immediate survivors are a brother, Arnold, and a niece, Mrs. Norbert Bloedorn, both of Milwaukee.

Services will be a 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Ballhorn Funeral Chapels here, with the Rev. Robert F. Sweetser, rector of Grace Episcopal Church, officiating. Cremation will follow.

Friends may call at the funeral chapels after 10 a.m. Wednesday.

A memorial is being established in Mr. Schwartz' name for the Elkhart Lake Boy Scout Troop.

Funeral services for the late Mrs. Theodore Schaffer, who died Sunday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Otto Weisse, at Sheboygan Falls, were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday from the late residence. Rev. Herbert S. Stanton of St. Peter's Episcopal church officiated at the services and interment was made in the Falls cemetery.

The pallbearers were the four sons-in-law of the deceased: Messrs Otto Weisse, Rudolph Zwerg, Fred Wildman and Emil Popp.

Out of town people who attended the obsequies were: Mr. and Mrs. Matt Schaffer, Mrs. Charles Longuth, Mr. and Mrs. John Schaffer, of Hilbert; Mrs. Joe Zwickey, New Holstein; Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Zwerg and sons, Roy and Waldemar, and Mrs. and Mrs. Fred Wildman, of Plymouth, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kaiser and Mr. and Mrs. Louis Olson, Sheboygan; Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Popp, of Elkhart Lake; Mrs. John Mulder, Kohler, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Geiger of Oshkosh, and Mrs. Louis Samm and daughter, Mrs. Messner of Hancock, Michigan.

John M. Schaffer, 70, of 114 E. Main St. passed away at five o'clock yesterday afternoon, June 11 at the Plymouth hospital after an eight weeks illness.

The son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Schaffer, he was born Feb. 24, 1877 in Hilbert and was married on Oct. 18, 1904 to Katherine Kissinger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Kissinger of Hilbert. The couple has resided in this city the past 20 years. For the past four years Mr. Schaffer was employed at the Bemis Manufacturing Co. at Sheboygan Falls and prior to that was with the Lakeshire-Marty Co. here.

Surviving are his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Norman {Adeline} Heberer of this city; a son, Alex of Sheboygan Falls, three grandchildren; a brother, Henry of Augusta, Mont. and two sisters, Mrs. Fred Wildman, Sheboygan and Mrs. Al Londo of Sheboygan Falls. His parents, six sisters and a brother preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the Gentine Funeral home and at 2 o'clock at the Salem Ev. and Reformed church. The Rev. Herman G. Schmid will officiate and burial will be made in the Elkhart Lake cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7o'clock Friday evening until the time of the services. The casket will remain closed at the church.

Sheboygan Falls - George Schnur, Civil war veteran of Sheboygan Falls, passed away Sunday morning at the home of his brother, Henry, at Sheboygan Falls. The body was taken to the P.R. Dean home, 711 Broadway, where rites will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Rev. H.S. Stanton will officiate and interment will be in the Falls cemetery.

Mr. Schnur was born in New York state June 11, 1846, and came to this state with his parents when he was seven years of age. In 1864 he married Betsy Jane Clark of this county. The couple had three children. He enlisted under the late Captain A.J. Lumsden of Co. F, 48th Wisconsin Ingantry, and served one year and six months after which he was dischanrged due to illness. Comrad Schnur was a charter member of Jairus Richardson Post no. 12 of Falls.

Among those who survive him are his brother, Henry, Sheboygan Falls.

On Tuesday morning, Nov. 1, Elise W. Schlichting, the venerable mother of Maj. R. Schlichting, departed this life, at the age of 86 years, 8 months and 18 days.

Grandma Schlichting, as she was more familiarly called, was one of nature�s noble women and was loved and respected by all whose good fortune it was to have known her. For over a quarter of a century she has lived in our midst and the useful Christian life she led will surely be rewarded in heaven. She was born February 14, 1806, at Oldenburg, Germany, where she grew to womanhood and was married to Johann R. Schlichting. In 1843 her husband came to America and secured a home for his wife and family in the town of Sheboygan Falls, this state and in 1847, Mrs. Schlichting brought the family to America. In 1861 her husband died and in 1863, Mrs. Schlichting moved to Kiel, Manitowoc County, where she remained until 1866, when she came to this city with her son Maj. Reinhart Schlichting, with whom she resided until death claimed her. She was known by every child in the city and they, as well as their elders, will miss her pleasant and kindly greeting. During the past few years she has been feeble and in poor health but her wants have been looked after by a loving son, a most devoted daughter-in-law and grand children. Her funeral took place from the home of her son Reinhart to-day, {Friday} at 2 o�clock p.m. and was largely attended by those who knew her in life. She leaves two sons, Reinhart of this city, Herman of Lake Linden Mich., and one daughter, Mrs. Belitz, besides many grand children to mourn her death.

Herman Strube, aged 85, a resident of the town of Herman, passed away at his farm home last Wednesday as the result of infirmities of old age.

The deceased was born September 10, 1853, in the town of Herman. He was united in marriage July 5, 1873 to Miss Mary Scherer of the town of Rhine. The couple settled on the farm homestead where Mr. Strube died. His wife preceded him in death 14 years ago.

A son, Arthur; two daughters, Mrs. Frank {Lillian} Barts and Mrs. Felix Sonnemann, all of the town of Herman; 13 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and three great-great�grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services took place at 1:15 p. m. Saturday from the C. J. Meizelwitz Funeral Home, and at 2 o�clock services were held at the Trinity Lutheran church in the town of Herman. The Rev. Walter Kitzerow conducted the services, and burial was made in the adjoining church cemetery.

Arwin W. Semph, 54, forced by ailing health to design{sic} as treasurer of the Town of Herman about three weeks ago, died early today at the Plymouth Hospital following a lingering illness. Mr. Semph, who resided at Franklin, had also served the town previously as constable and tax assessor.

He was born June 21, 1898, in Herman, a son of Mrs. Ida Schmidt Semph and the late Henry Semph. As a young man he worked on farms in the area and was married to the former Miss Vera Jaschob of the Town of Rhine on April 3, 1917. The couple lived on a farm near Ada until 1947 when they moved to Franklin. Mrs. Semph died in 1949. During the time he operated the Town of Herman farm he was also employed as a field man for the Triple-A, and was a member of the Redmen Lodge No. 49 of Kiel.

Surviving are three sons, Leroy and Ralph of Ada, and Kenneth of Manitowoc two daughters, Mrs. Thomas {Doris} Blackburn of Savannah, Ga., and Mrs. Daniel {Caroline} Boedeker of the Town of Sheboygan Falls; seven grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Ida Semph of Howards Grove, four sisters, Mrs. Robert Meyer and Mrs. Charles Stark of the Town of Meeme, Manitowoc County, Mrs. Otto Zastrow of Sheboygan and Miss Evelyn Semph of Chippewa Falls, and two brothers; Walter and Roland of Howards Grove.

He was preceded in death by his father, two sisters and one brother, in addition to his wife.

Services will be held at 2 p. m. Friday at St. John Evangelical and Reformed Church, Schwartzwald, with the Rev. William Schultz officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at the Meiselwitz Funeral home, Kiel, from 2 p.m. Thursday at 11 a.m. Friday when the body will be taken to the church to lie in state until time of the services.

Mrs. Louis Stark of Crystal Lake met accidental death last Thursday morning, the news of her sudden demise causing a shock to the people of that communtity. Mrs. Stark was the wife of the well-known proprietor of the Island resort at that lake. It happened in the basement of the hotel at between six and seven o'clock, while Mrs. Stark was preparing breakfast. She went to the basement to get food which she was going to prepare, and Mr. Stark heard her scream and fall heavily to the floor. He hastened down to the basement and found her lying on the floor with no signs of life remaining. Dr. Hansen of Glenbeulah was hastily summoned and he did all that could be done to revive her, but without avail.

She apparently had taken hold of an extension wire and its lamp with the wire screen over it that was hung on the hook ready to be taken to the basement to be carried about. Beside the body was the wire screen and part of the electric fixture.

The county coroner, Dr. Van Zanten, was called, and after making a thorough investigation with the assistance of a competent electrician, he pronounced death due to electrocution.

Mrs. Stark was forty-three years old, and she was a great help to Mr. Stark in conducting their very popular resort. She leaves her husband and three children; Marie, aged 17, Walter, 16, and Ethel, 15 to mourn her untimely death.

The funeral services were held Saturday, and were largely attended. Rev. Huepper officiated.

Mrs. Ervin Stiller, 59, of Cable, Wis., a former Plymouth resident, died at Trinity Hospital at Ashland early Thursday following a four-day illness.

She was born March 8, 1899, in New Holstein, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Bruns, and attended schools in New Holstein before moving to Sheboygan where he was married on Sept. 10, 1921.

Following their marriage, the couple lived in Sheboygan until 1929 when they moved to Plymouth. In 1944 they moved to Cable.

Survivors are her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Alice Andrews of Plymouth; a son, Gerald, stationed in the Philippines with the U.S. Navy; four grandchildren and two brothers, Henry of Kiel, Adolph of New Holstein.

Her parents, three sisters and one brother preceded her in death.

Services have been tentatively set for 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Wittkopp Funeral Home in Plymouth. The Rev. Samuel Bullough, pastor of First Congregational Church of Plymouth, will officiate and burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Saturday.

Mrs. Caroline Spitzer, aged 77, widow of the late Louis Spitzer, passed away at the home of her son, Oscar, who operates the Spitzer homestead in the town of Schleswig, near Millhome. Mrs. Spitzer passed away suddenly at about 7:15 p. m. last Friday.

Mrs. Spitzer, nee Caroline Schneider, was born October 22, 1866, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Schneider, in the town of Centerville. Some years later the family moved to Plymouth, and later to Sheboygan.

On March 22, 1885 she was married to Louis Spitzer of the town of Herman, and the couple made their home on the farm in the town of Schleswig. In 1915 the homestead was sold to their son, Oscar, and after that time Mr. and Mrs. Spitzer made their home with their children. Mr. Spitzer died in December, 1922.

She is survived by three daughters and one son, namely: Mrs. Louis {Clara} Raeder of the town of Greenbush, Mrs. Henry {Hilda} Roehl of the town of Eaton, Mrs. Oscar {Cecelia} Krueger of Plymouth, and Oscar of the town of Schleswig. One daughter Meta, and a son Edwin preceded her in death.

Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o�clock at the Meiselwitz Funeral Home, and at 2 o�clock the Rev. E. L. Worthman conducted services at the St. Peter Evangelical and Reformed church. Burial was made to the Elkhart Lake cemetery.

Otto Spitzer, aged 65, died at his farm home in the town of Herman at 9:45 p. m. Sunday after suffering an apoplectic stroke early in the day. He was born on the farm where he died, on July 4, 1869. He was the son of the late Peter and Frederika Spitzcr.

He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Henry Dickmann of Howards Grove, Mrs. Clara Voss of Kiel and Mrs. Arthur Uphoff of Plymouth; and three stepbrothes, William Wehrmann of Rewards Grove, Theodore Wehrmann of Abbotsford and August Wehrmann of Bingham.

Mrs. John Seichter, 87, mother of Mrs. Joseph Beumler and Mrs. Hubert Nett died at the home of another daughter, Mrs. Nick Gebhardt at Sheboygan Tuesday morning.

Funersl services will be held at St. Charles Catholic church at Charlestown Saturday at 10 a. m. The Rev. Francis Melchiors will officiate.

Other survivors include five daughters: Mrs. Frank Steffen, New Holstein; Mrs. Otto Ludwig, Chilton; Mrs. Albert Ott, Sheboygan Falls; Mrs. Clarence Kleinhans, Chilton, and Mrs. Emil Landrath, Sheboygan; a son, Bernard, Sheboygan; 48 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Albert, New Holstein, and Simon, Chilton, and two sisters, Mrs. August Propson and Mrs. John Propson, Chilton.

Her husband died, May 29, 1927, and two sons also preceded her in death.

Death after a lingering illness came to Mrs. Catherine Schnurr, wife of Math. Schnurr, at her home in Sheboygan Saturday. The Schnurs{sic} are former residents of Kiel, having lived here for over 20 years. They moved from Kiel to Sheboygan in 1919.

Mrs. Schnurr was born in Germany on January 30, 1853, and came to America in 1859 with her parents, settling in Fond du Lac. She was married to Math. Schnurr in 1876, and the couple settled in Chilton, where they lived for about 20 years. From Chilton they came to Kiel, where they resided until 1919. Since then they lived in Sheboygan.

The survivors are the husband, four daughters: Mrs. Richard Hanke, Wauwatosa; Mrs. Henry Kroening, West Allis; Mrs. Henry Pichette, St. Francis; and Mrs. Richard Lehfeldt, West Allis. Two sons, William of Plymouth and Joseph of Sheboygan, and three sisters, two brothers, and five grahdchildren.

Funeral services were held from the Holy Name church at Sheboygan Tuesday morning. The Rev. Father Dreis officiated, and interment was made in the North Side Catholic cemetery.

Henry Schuler, well-known resident of the town of Rhine, passed away at his home at 6:30 o�clock Saturday afternoon, after a protracted illness of five months� duration. Mr. Schuler was born Dec. 3, 1862, in the town of Sheboygan Falls. He was married to Miss Marie Stallmann in 1885 and since that time he was engaged in farming in the town of Rhine. He is survived by the widow, six sons, William and George of town Rhine, {rest missing}

Phiilp, Sinz, well-known resident of this city, died at 6:30 this Wednesday morning after an illness suffered the past four years.

Mr. Sinz was born in the town of Russell on May 9, 1866. He spent his early youth on the homestead farm and continued to make the town of Russell his home after his marriage to Marie Henschel on November 9, 1891. They resided in the town of Russell until 1909 and then sold their farm and moved to Elkhart Lake, where they resided for 16 years. Mr. and Mrs. Sinz came to Kiel in 1925 and have made their home in this city since that time.

Two sons were born of this union. One son, Edwin, preceded his father in death in 1918. Surviving are the widow, one son, Milton of Appleton, and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon from the C.J. Meiselwitz Funeral Home, the Rev. E.L. Worthman officiating. Burial will be made in the Elkhart Lake cemetery. The body lies in state and can be viewed at {rest missing}

Mrs. Cyril E. Stemper, nee Elizabeth Flath, passed away at her St. Anna home, early Friday afternoon after a lingering illness. She was born in Glenbeulah Nov. 7, 1910, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Flath. On Jan. 5, 1932, she was married to Mr. Stemper at Calvary. The couple made their home on a farm near St. Anna.

She was a member of St. Anna Catholic church and the Christian Mothers' sodality.

Her husband survives her, as do seven children, also her mother at Glenbeulah; three brothers, Joseph, Oshkosh; Frank, Glenbeulah, and Alfred, Milwaukee; two sisters, Mrs. Lynn Miller, Augusta, and Sister Irma, who serve in a Catholic institution in Superior.

Funeral services were held at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Erbe-Hoffman Funeral home, New Holstein, and at 10 a.m. at the St. Anna Cotholic church, with the Rev. Clement Kern officiating. Burial was made in the St. Anna Catholic cemetery.

Kiel - William Schreiber, aged 58 years, well known resident of Franklin, passed away at the family residence in Franklin Sunday morning at 5:30 o�clock, after an illness of three months.

The deceased was born in the town of Meeme, August 26th, 1875, and was married to Miss Helena Stecker, also of Meeme on December 26th, 1903. The couple located in Franklin where Mr. Schreiber conducted a meat market for twenty-nine years.

Survivors are his wife, three children, Olga, Irma, and William at home, two adopted sons. Carl of Sheboygan, and Henry, also at home, four brothers, Frederick, Gustave and August Schreiber, of the town of Meeme, and John Schreiber of Markesan, five sisters, Miss Emma Schreiber of the town of Meeme, Mrs. Fred Roethel, town of Meeme, Mrs. Edwin Scheib, and Mrs. Louis Gesch, both of Franklin, and Mrs. Katherine Weisgerber of Elkhart Lake.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o�clock at the family residence in Franklin, and at 2 o�clock at the Evangelical church in Swartzwald. The Rev. E. M. Mohme will officiate, and burial will be made in the adjoining church cemetery.

Kiel � {Special} � Fritz Schreiber, 79, died at 10 p. m. Monday at his homestead in the town of Meeme after an illness of several years.

He was born in town Meeme March 23, 1862, son of August and Catherine, and was confirmed at Schwartzwald church. On April 17, 1890, he married Eugenia Muehlstadt and the couple moved to the present farm.

Survivors are his wife, two adopted children, Rudolph, town Schleswig, and Elsie, {Mrs. Frank Bachle}, at home, and two nephews and three nieces he raised, August and Fred Ehnert, of Kiel, Mrs. Louis Burkhart, Kiel, Mrs. Louis Kennecke and Mrs. Edgar Mueller, town Schleswig. Another niece, Mrs. John Schlamp, preceded him in death.

Also surviving are two borthers, Gustave, town Meeme, and John, of Markesan, five sisters, Mrs. Katie Weisgerber, Elkhart Lake, Mrs. Fred Roeghel and Miss Emma, town Meeme, Mrs. Ed Scheib and Mrs. Martin Gesch, of Franklin, and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p. m. at the home, and at 2 o�clock at Evangelical and Reformed church. The Rev. William Schultz will officiate.

Friends may call at the home from Wednesday noon until time of services, Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Albert O. Schultz, aged 76, passed away at the home of his son Herbert in Louis Corners, Monday at 9:30 p.m., following an illness of several months� duration. The deceased was born May 31, 1860, in the town of Wilson, and at the age of six years, with his parents, moved onto a farm in the town of Herman. He was the son of the late Carl and Caroline Schultz.

On October 16, 1885 he was united in marriage with Albertina Wried, of the town of Schleswig, and the couple located on a farm one mile east of Plymouth, where they resided for seven years. Later they moved on to the Schultz homestead near Howards Grove, where they resided for ten years.

For eight years they resided in this city on Fourth street, where Mrs. Schultz passed away on May 29, 1930. For the past six years the deceased has been residing with his son Herbert at Louis Corners.

Five children were born of this union, one son having passed away at the age of 11 months. Following are the survivors: Three daughters, Mrs. Henry {Louise} Ruh of this city, Mrs. Edwin {Martha} Ruh of Rockville, Mrs. E. P. {Adeline} Riess of Sheboygan and one son, Herbert, on the homestead farm in Louis Corners. Six grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held {today} Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o�clock from the Meiselwitz Funeral Home, and at 2 o�clock services will be held at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran church here, and burial will take place in the local cemetery. The Rev. H. O. Grunwald will officiate.

Philipp Schmidt, a well-known and old-time resident of the town of Rhine, died Monday at the home of his son on the old homestead, at the age of 69 years, 7 months and 14 days. Deceased was born in the town of Rhine, on July 14, 1854, and was married in 1894 to Augusta Limburg, who suvives him with five sons and two daughters. The funeral was held on Monday aftermoon.

Adolph Schnell, 68, a former resident of Kiel and a brother of William Schnell, died at the Plymouth hospital Monday. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. today, Thursday, from the Wittkop Funeral Home in Plymouth.

Residents here have received word of the death of Miss Leora Streblow, aged 30, a former resident of this city and vicinity, which occurred in the Bellin Memorial hospital in Green Bay last Wednesday afternoon.

Miss Streblow was born October 8, 1909, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William G. Streblow, who at one time resided in the home on Third street, now owned by Fred Lulloff, and later operated a cheese factory on highway 32. The family for some years resided in Plymouth, and 12 years ago moved to Cecil, near Green Bay, where Mr. Streblow conducts a cheese factory.

Miss Streblow is survived by her father; two brothers, Sylvester and Gerald, and one sister Mrs. Ray Larson of Manitowoc. Her mother preceded her in death.

Funeral sevices were conducted at the Funeral Home in Brillion at 1:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon.

Mrs. Carl Schueler was called to her reward at her home in Elkhart Lake on Tuesday evening at 11:15, after a lingering illness. Deceased nee Friederika Nauth, was born in the town of Rhine, Nov. 4, 1858. She was married to Carl Schueler in 1881, and the couple resided on a farm in the town of Rhine. Mr. Schueler preceded her in death 19 years ago. Four years after the death of her husband Mrs. Schueler moved to Elkhart Lake, where she has since resided.

The four surviving children are: Mrs. F. Brieske of New Holstein, Mrs. Henry Brieske and Grover Schueler of Rhine and Carl Schueler of Stevens Point. Two sons, Philip and Edward, died some years ago. She also leaves one sister, Mrs. Carl Hecker of Plymouth. Two brothers, George Nauth of Kiel and Michael Nauth of Elkhart Lake died during the past year. Seven grandchildren also survive her.

The funeral will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. from the home, Rev. A. Hamann officiating. Interment in the Elkhart Lake cemetery.

Mrs. Isabell Hilda Stuemke, 36, wife of Ruebin, of 817-A S. 17th St., died at St. Nicholas Hospital Friday morning after a lingering illness.

She was born July 12, 1917, the daughter of Martin and Minnie Scheibl, on the family homestead in the Town of Sheboygan Falls.

She was confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Sheboygan Falls. On May 29, 1937, she was united in marriage to Ruebin Stuemke by the former Pastor John Biehusen, of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her husband, and one daughter, Patricia Ann; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Scheibl, Millersville; four brothers, Willard, of Cleveland; Norman, of Howards Grove; Marvin and Freferick, at Home; and two sisters, Mrs. Harvey Wieland, Sheboygan; and Mrs. Earl Wilhelms, Fond du Lac.

Funeral services will be held at the Steffen Funeral Chapel Monday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Herbert J.A. Bouman, pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church, will officiate at the services. Burial will be in the Lutheran Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral parlor from 7 p.m. tonight until the time of services.

Funeral services for Mrs. Rueben Stuemke, 36, of 817-A South 17th St., who died Friday at St. Nicholas Hospital, were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Steffen Funeral chapel.

The Rev. Herbert J.A. Bouman, pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church, officiated. Burial rites were conducted in Lutheran cemetery.

Pallbearers were Eugene Wieland, Harvey Wieland, Henry Richter, Norman Neese, Clarence Kalk and Ben MacMurray.

During the services, Henry Schulz, accompanied at the organ by Jean Howard Elvers, sang two solo selections, `Abide With Me' and `I Am But a Stranger Here'.

Mrs. Martha Stalter, 54, of Sibley court, passed away Tuesday at 1:10 p.m. at her home following a lingering illness.

Deceased was born July 1, 1887, in Town Meeme, Manitowoc county, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emil O. Schultz, and attended the country schools.

On June 18, 1910, she was married to William Stalter at Holy Name church by the late Rt. Rev. Msgr. Dominic Thill, and since her marriage has made her home in this city. She was a member of St. Dominic's church and of the Christian Mothers' society of that church.

Survivors are five daughters, Mrs. Erwin Meissner, Miss Mary, Mrs. Jacob Folz, Mrs. Frank Glazer and Miss Clara, all of this city; four sons, John, William, Raymond and Albert, all of this city; eight grandchildren; six sisters, Mrs. Alvina Wagner, Mrs. Paul Notke and Mrs. Henry Gebhard of Kiel, Mrs. Otto Straade and Mrs. Reinhold Horst of Millhome and Mrs. William Bauman of Glen View, Ill.; four brothers, Ferdinand Schultz of Sheboygan Falls, Emil of Kiel, Oscar of New Holstein, and Richard of Manitowoc.

Her husband preceded her in death April 8, 1937, and a daughter, Mrs. Harley Winkle also preceded her in death on Dec. 23, 1938.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 9 a.m. at the Ballhorn Funeral temple and at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Name church. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. Phillip Dreis will officiate and burial will be made in the family lot in Calvary cemetery.

Services will be held at Holy Name church because of the 40-hour devotional services being held at St. Dominic's church at the present time. Friends may view the body at the funeral home beginning this evening.

The death of Walter Stark, 66, proprietor of Pine Point resort here, came as a sad surprise to the many relatives and friends. Mr. Stark had been confined to his bed for a week due to an illness of several years duration, and he passed away at 4:30 o�clock Friday morning.

The deceased was born in Bart Zoden, Germany on April 21, 1870. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Stark, and in 1893 he came to America for a visit at Milwaukee. He was so impressed with America that he decided to remain here, and for some years he was chef in the LaSalle hotel in Chicago. Then for many years he was diet chef at St. Luke�s hospital in Chicago. In 1899, together with George Diefenthaler, he bought Pine Point resort here. Mr. Diefenthaler died after the first season, and after that Mr. Stark, Mrs. Diefenthaler, and her daughter, Mrs. E. A. LaBudde, operated the resort until 1907, when Mr. Stark bought out the Diefenthaler interest. In 1922 Mr. Stark sold the resort to A. F. Guignet, who operated it until 1928, when the former took possession of it again and has been the proprietor ever since. Mr. Stark was married to Miss Helen Greve on March 26, 1913. He was a member of the Elkhart Lake Civic Association. He is survived by his widow; one daughter by a former marriage of Nekoosa; two sons, Walter and August at home; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Stadelmeyer and Mrs. Sophia Riegel, both of Germany; five brothers, August and Louis of Crystal Lake.

Kiel friends and acquaintances were shocked by the news of the suicide of Anton Schad at Sheboygan on Sunday. He ended his life by hanging himself in the garage at the rear of his home, early Sunday morning. The body was discovered by his wife at 6:30 a.m. A letter was found which Schad had written to relatives, in which he wished a happy Easter to all and that moonshine got the best of him.

Mr. Schad was born in St. Nazianz in December, 1873, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Schad. He came to Sheboygan six years ago after residing at New Holstein seven years and at Kiel fourteen years. He was a carpenter.

Besides his wife, Mr. Schad is survived by his own son, Arthur Schad of New Holstein, and two step-children, Alex Schad of Milwaukee, and Mrs. Jos. Nytes of Sheboygan, two grandchildren; four brothers, Jacob of Sheboygan, Joseph of Millhome, and Ed and John of St. Nazianz, and four sisters, Misses Katherine and Mary of Evanston, Illinois, Elizabeth of St. Nazianz, and Mrs. Peter Daun of Evanston, Illinois.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Wednesday. Interment was made in Wildwood cemetery, Sheboygan.

Gilbert Stoelting, 63, Franklin, was instantly killed Wednesday when his car crashed into a tree about a mile east of Elkhart Lake. He was a nephew of Adolph and Otto Stoelting of this city. He was alone in his car when the accident happened.

Funeral services were held Saturday from Immanuel Evangelical and Reformed church in the town of Herman.

He is survived by two sisters: the Misses Lillie and Hulda Stoelting and two brothers, Ivan and Arno, all residents of Franklin.

Lawrence "Jack" W. Stone, age 70, of W5947 Highway EH, Elkhart Lake, died unexpectedly Monday morning, August 28, 1995, shortly after being admitted at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital after suffering an apparent heart attack at his home.

He was born March 4, 1925, in Abrams, son of the late Walter and Mary Ellner Stone. He attended grade school in Lena. On January 13, 1951, he married the former Carita Weeden at St. John's Catholic Church, Kohler. He was employed at Kohler Company until 1954. He was then employed at Tecumseh Products, New Holstein, until his retirement in 1987. Stoney enjoyed hunting, fishing, cards and playing with his grandchildren. Lawrence was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during WW II serving in Guam. He was a member of the Kiel VFW Post 6707.

Funeral services for August Schreiber, Sr., 72, who died at his farm home in the town of Meeme Wednesday morning, February 5, following a lingering illness, had to be postponed until Monday of this week due to the impassable roads. Services were held at 1:30 from the home and at 2 o�clock at the Evangelical and Reformed church at Schwarzwald, with the Rev. William Schultz officiating.

The deceased was born on a farm near the one on which he died, and resided in the town of Meeme all his life. He was married 37 years ago to Miss Helen Schneider, also of the town of Meeme.

Survivors, besides his widow include six daughters, Miss Ella of Sheboygan, Mrs. Edwin Lutze and Mrs. Louis Wehausen of the town of Liberty; Mrs. Lester Luedtke and Mrs. Carl Schrank of Newton; and Mrs. Leslie Reinke of Mosel; three sons, Hugo, August, Jr. and Alfred, all at home; three brothers, Fred of near here; John of Markesan, and Gustave of the town of Meeme; and five sisters, Miss Emma S. Schreider and Mrs. Anna Roethel of the town of Meeme; Mrs. Kathryn Weisgerber of Elkhart Lake; Mrs. Gusta Scheib of Plymouth, and Mrs. Louise Gesch of Franklin.

Kicked in the chest by a horse, Marlin Arthur Spann, 15-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Spann, Route 3, Plymouth, was instantly killed Saturday.

Coroner Harry Heiden, who was called, stated that the youth had been watering the horses on his father's farm, and when one refused to go up to the trough, he picked up a piece of broom handle and struck it. When he did so, the horse kicked him with such force that it threw his head back and broke his neck. Marlins 10-year-old brother, Miles, witnessed the tragedy.

Marlin was born in New Holstein on March 1, 1919. He is survived by his parents, two brothers, Miles and Walter, Jr., and two sisters, Joyce and Jeanette, and his grandparents.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the home, and 2 p.m. at Salem Reformed church, Plymouth. The Rev. H. G. Schmid will officiate, and burial will be made in Woodlawn cemetery.

Fred Schleunes, aged 78, a life-long resident of the town of Schleswig, died at his farm home near Cedar Lake at 3 o�clock Tuesday morning.

Mr. Schleunes was born on the present farm home on November 10, 1866, the son of John and Catherine Haag-Schleunes.

He leaves to mourn, his widow, nee Minnie Mueller, and two sons, Harold on the homestead, and Albert, who resides with his wife and two children Sharion and David at Davenport, Iowa. He also leaves one brother, John F. Schleunes of Portland, Oregon. Three brothers, Henry, August, and Carl, and one sister, Caroline Steffen have preceded him in death.

The body can be viewed at the Meiselwitz Funeral Home Thursday afternoon and evening, and on Friday from 11 o�clock until time of services at 2 p.m. at the St. John�s Evangelical and Reformed church at Schwarzwald. The Rev. William Schultz will officiate, and burial will be made in the adjoining church cemetery.

Garry L. Swita, 63, of Sheboygan Falls, went home to his Lord, at his home with his family at his side on Friday, May 7, 2004, following a brief illness.

Garry was born on Aug. 20, 1940, in Sheboygan, the son of the late Joseph and Sophia {Zore} Swita. Garry graduated from Sheboygan Central High School in 1959. Following high school he served in the U.S. National Guard for six years.

On May 21, 1966, Garry married the former Carol Masterson in Sheboygan Falls. Garry worked at Plenco in Sheboygan for 41 years, before his retirement in 2001.

He was a member of Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, going for walks, gardening, playing the stock market, but most of all he enjoyed his children and grandchildren.

Thomas Anthony Schaller, age 60, of 615 N. Yale Ave, Villa Park, Ill. and a former resident of Sheboygan, died at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital in Elmhurst, Ill. on Sunday, Dec. 1, 2002.

Thomas was born in Sheboygan on Oct. 26, 1942, a son of the late Lambert and birth mother, Mae {Steinhardt} Schaller. He was a graduate of Sheboygan Central High School.

On Dec. 7, 1968, he married the former Helen A. Trempe at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. He served his country in the U.S. Navy. Thomas was employed at Famous Industries as a retail manager for the wine/spirit and cheese shop. Tom enjoyed golf, racing, fishing, bowling and baseball. He was a Packer fan and for many years was a member of the Sheboygan 99 Club.

Servatius {Serva} P. Schmitz, 88, 309 St. Paul Avenue, Kiel, died at Rocky Knoll last Thursday afternoon after a brief illness.

He was born September 11, 1882, in Johnsburg, the son of the late Peter and Margie Griffan Schmitz.

He married the former Paulina Dorn at Johnsburg. She died in December, 1918.

He married the former Catherine Raddatz, July 6, 1921, at St. Anna Catholic Church, St. Anna.

The couple operated a farm in the Town of Russell until retirement in 1945, when they moved to Kiel.

He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Kiel, and its Holy Name Society.

Mr. Schmitz is survived by his wife; five daughters {survivors omitted for privacy}; a stepson, a brother; 22 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and a step-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a daughter and an infant son.

Evelyn J. Smoot, 86, of Kiel passed away at her home of congestive heart failure on Monday afternoon, July 1, 2002.

She was born Jan. 9, 1916 in Brothertown, WI, daughter of the late Joseph and Mathilda Karls Hoerth.

Evelyn attended St. Mary's School in Stockbridge.

On Oct. 6, 1936 she married Donald Smoot at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Chilton. Evelyn was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Elkhart Lake. Evelyn was past Secretary-Treasurer for Smoot construction and was past President of the Winnebago East Shore Lioness Club.

She was employed at Tecumseh Products, New Holstein for a number of years, retiring in 1978.

Evelyn enjoyed playing bingo and baking for her family and grandchildren.

Mrs. Lauretta L. Schmidt, 94, a resident of Morningside Health Center, died there early Thursday morning, March 16, 1995. Lauretta was born July 24, 1900 in Sheboygan to Henry and Frieda Garbe Leimetz. On May 26, 1923, she married Raymond H. Schmidt of Sheboygan. The couple resided on N. 40th St. for many years. Mr. Schmidt preceded her in death on Nov. 29, 1970. Lauretta resided on Wilson Ave., before moving to Morningside Terrace Apartments. Mrs. Schmidt was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and did volunteer work at the Bethesda Thrift Store. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Arlynn and Frank Nauschultz, Sarasota, Fla.; and Marian and Donald Seno, Madison; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one daughter-in-law, Adeline Schmidt, Sheboygan. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Roger; and a brother, Henry Leimtez. Funeral serivces will be held Sunday, at 3 p.m., at Ballhorn Funeral Chapels. The Rev. galan Waltehr, associate pastor of trinity Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will take place Monday, at Wildwood Cemetery. A time of visitation and support will be held at Ballhorns on Sunday from 2 p.m. until the time of services. A memorial fund has been established in her name.

Victor Senglaub, about whose illness with typhus we reported earlier, died Wednesday of that disease. The deceased, a son of Louis C. Senglaub here was born 31 years ago in Town Schleswig and moved to Manitowoc when his father took office as County Clerk. He attended school here. For a long time he belonged to the Militia Company. Ten years ago he moved to Sheboygan and spent many years as day clerk in the Grand Hotel� He joined the Militia Company there and became a 1st Lieutenant. There he met Miss Bohlmann and they were setting the wedding day when he became ill with the terrible illness which took his life. Victor Senglaub is survived by his sorrowing parents, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon in Sheboygan.

Joseph Scherer, aged 54 years, died Friday evening, Mch. 1, at his home, 1622 N. Eighteenth street. He is survived by his wife and seven children as follows: Mrs. Frank Loehr of Port Washington, Peter of Milwaukee, Mrs. Arthur Kust, Alex, Eleanor, Joseph and Andrew of Sheboygan. The funeral took place Tuesday morning at the church of the Holy Name. Interment in the North Side Catholic cemetery.

Alois Schinabeck, aged 42 years, died Tuesday morning, Feb. 16, at his home 1934 N. Eleventh street, of consumption. A widow and two children survive.

Schwarz - Friederike, wife of Carl Schwarz, died Saturday, Oct. 7, at her home near Wildwood cemetery, aged 56 years, last Nov. 10th. The deceased was a native of Brandenburg, Ger. She leaves a husband, five sons and four daughters. Burial Tuesday in the Lutheran cemetery.

Walter H. Sprangers, aged 50 years, a former resident of the town of Wilson, Sheboygan county, died on May 31, at his farm near Royalton, Waupaca Co. He was married in July 1883 to Miss Sophia Buechler who survives him together with one daughter. They lived at Kaukauna before going to Waupaca county and the interment was made in the Catholic cemetery at Kaukauna.

Mrs. Elizabeth Stroub, a well known and much respected resident of Sheboygan county for the past fifty years, died Friday, Jan. 13, at the home of her son Michael Stroub, in Plymouth, aged eighty-two years. The deceased whose maiden name was Schnell, was born Sept. 22, 1822, in Germany and came to America with her parents in 1830 settling first at Buffalo, N.Y. They came to the town of Lima, this county in 1833. Three sons and one daughter survive as follows: Michael and George Stroub, of Plymouth; John of Lake Mills, Wis.; and Mrs. Sophie Hamann, of Town Herman. The funeral took place Monday, the Rev. Proehl officiating. Interment in the Onion River cemetery.

The infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schild, of 1414 N. Sixteenth street, died Sunday, Jan. 15, aged four months.

Mrs. William Steinhardt, aged fifty-six years and ten months, died Sunday morning, Jan. 15, at her home in Plymouth. She came to America from Germany in 1880 and was the mother of twelve children, six of whom are living.

Jacob Sutter Sr., aged 79 years, died Tuesday evening, Mch.. 31, at his home 1602 N. Tenth street.

Mrs. Theresa Schucht passed away at St. Nicholas hospital on Sunday afternoon at the age of eighty-one, death being due to the weakness of old age. For four years she was obliged to keep to her bed, but it did not prevent her from reading, and except for the last few months of her life her mind was clear and active. When the final summons came all her daughters were with her. Before she was taken to the hospital she made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Frank Dewey, North Fifth street.

Mrs. Schucht who was the widow of the late Otto Schucht, once the leading florist of Sheboygan, was born at Hamburg, Germany. She came to America unattended by any relatives, when only sixteen years of age. She first went to San Francisco, where she remained for some time. She was twice married, the first time to August Heinze. She leaves a son by the first union, August Heinze, Jr.

In 1862, on February 21, she was married to Otto Schucht at Oakland, California, her first husband having passed away several years before. Mr. Schucht died February 27, 1917, and Mrs. Schucht is survived by the following children: August Heinze, Chicago; William Schucht, Chilton; Emil Schucht, Waukesha; Mrs. William Lewis, Stevens Point; Mrs. August Kavel, Mrs. Frank Dewey and Miss Frieda Schucht, this city; Mrs. Marie Retter of Los Angeles, Cal. She also leaves twenty-three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held on Wednesday afternoon from the home of her daughter, Mrs. August Kavel, 2018 South Eighth street, the Rev. J.W. Perry officiating. The remains rest in Wildwood cemetery.

Mrs. Wilhelmina Seidemann, died Christmas morning at St. Nicholas hospital of general debility, aged 86. The deceased who was a respected resident of Sheboygan for many years, is survived by four children, Frank and Edwin Seidemann and Mrs. Robert Schroeder of this city and Mrs. Alwine Pfeil of Milwaukee. The funeral took place Thursday afternoon from the home of her daughter, Mrs. Schroeder on New York avenue, Rev. Edmund Fuerer officiating. Interment in Wildwood cemetery.

Anna Schmidt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Schmidt, of the towwn of Sheboygan, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, aged 18 years.

Carl Schreiber, a pioneer of the town of Sherman, died at the age of 76 years.

Hugo Seidemann died last Tuesday afternoon at 1515 N. Eleventh St.

Deceased was born on the 6th of March, 1838, in Oppurg, Grand duchy of Weimar, Germany; and came to America with his parents in 1849.

Catherine �Kate� Schockmel, 94, a resident of the Valley Manor Nursing Home, Plymouth, died unexpectedly, Wednesday morning, March 25, 1992, at Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center. She was born October 31, 1897, in the Town of Greenbush, a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Rach Roltgen. She attended Rathburn School in the Town of Mitchell. Catherine was married to Dennis Schockmel on August 6, 1919, at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church, Armstrong. After their marriage, the couple owned and operated State Road Cheese Factory in the Town of Greenbush, until 1949. Her husband died in 1961. She resided with her daughter, Joan, until 1972 and in 1974, she moved to the Berkshire Apartments in Plymouth, before going to Valley Manor. She was a member of Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church, in Armstrong and a former member of the Cheese Makers Auxiliary. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Joe {Anna Marie} Shea and Mrs. Jerry {Joan} Bittner, both of Armstrong; Mrs. Harvey {Pat} Rieden, of Mt. Calvary, and Marge Hau, Town of Greenbush; 15 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grand-daughter; two sisters, Hilda Murphy, of Five Corners and Mrs. Norbert {Ann} Walter, of Plymouth; three brothers, John {Ruth} Roltgen, Martin {Hazel} Roltgen, both of Plymouth and Jerome {Alice} Roltgen, Town of Greenbush. She was preceded in death by one son-in-law, Richard Hau; one grandson, Hugh Bittner, one brother Joe and two sisters, Mabel and Mary. Friends may call at the Huss Funeral Home, in St. Cloud, after 4 p.m., Friday. A vigil service will be held at 8 p.m., Friday evening. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 28, at 9:30 a.m., at the funeral home and 10 a.m., at Our Lady of Angels Church in Armstrong. The Rev. dick Robinson, pastor, will officiate. Dennis Schockmel, Infant Killed In Two-Car Crash. A widely known Sheboygan County cheesemaker and a rural New Holstein infant were killed Tuesday in a two-car crash at the intersection of County Trunks A and E in the Town of Rhine. The dead are: Dennis Schockmel, 72, of R.1, Glenbeulah, a past president of the Sheboygan County Cheesemakers� Association and former president of the old Kettle Moraine Baseball League, and Amy Winkler, three-month-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Winkler of R. 1, New Holstein. Schockmel was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, about two miles east of Rhine Center. His death was attributed to a crushed chest and other injuries. The Winkler infant died at Plymouth Hospital at 7 p.m. Tuesday, about five hours after the accident. Dr. Reed M. Simpson, Sheboygan County coroner, said she died of a skull fracture. Two other persons, including the Winkler baby�s mother, Betty, 21, were injured. Mrs. Winkler is being treated at Plymouth Hospital for a concussion, a laceration to the right knee and a nose injury. Her condition today was described as �satisfactory.� The other injured person was identified as Mrs. Wayne {Catherine} Lisowe, 17, also of R. 1, New Holstein, a passenger in the Winkler car. She sustained scalp lacerations and a concussion but was not critically hurt. Both were taken to the hospital in Plymouth by the Huss Ambulance Serivce. According to investigating sheriff�s deputies, Schockmel was driving south on County Trunk E alone in his 1957 Chevrolet, and Mrs. Winkler was driving her 1958 Ford convertible west on County Turnk A. Both Mrs. Winkler and Mrs. Lisowe told deputies that Schockmel failed to stop for the stop sign at the intersection. The Winkler car struck the Schockmel vehicle broadside. Both cars were completely wrecked. The two deaths are the 16th and 17th traffic fatalities in Sheboygan County for the year. Exactly one eyar ago Tuesday, five person were killed in a two car crash on Highway 57 near Random Lake, bringing the traffic toll up to 13 at that time. Altogether there were 21 traffic fatalities in Sheboygan County in 1960.

Mr. Schockmel was born Oct. 6, 1888 in the Town of Greenbush, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Schockmel. He attended rural schools. On Aug. 6, 1919, he was married to Catherine Roltgen at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church at Armstrong. He was a faithful member of that parish and its Holy Name Society. A cheesemaker by trade, he owned a nd operated the State Road Cheese factory in the Town of Greenbush from 1919 to 1949. At the time of his death he was employed at the Town of Rhine cheese factory at Rhine Center. A baseball player himself, Schockmel served as president of the old Kettle Moraine Baseball League for a number of years in the 1930�s and was a strong backer of the old Sheboygan Chairmakers and other local baseball teams. Years later he managed the Armstrong Aces, a girl�s softball team. His other sports interest was in hunting. He was an excellent shot with the small bore rifle and used to compete in National Rifle Association matches. He is survived by his wife; four daughters, Mrs. Joseph {Anna Marie} Shea and Mrs. Gerald {Joan} Bittner, both of St. Cloud, Mrs. Richard {Marjorie} Hau of Glenbeulah, and Mrs. Harvey {Patricia} Rieden of Mt. Calvary; 16 grandchildren and two brothers, Frank Jr. of Glenbeulah and Lawrence of Greenbush. He was preceded in death by a brother, two sisters, two half-brothers and three half-sisters. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Angels Church following brief family rites at the Huss Funeral Home at Plymouth at 9:30 a.m. The Rev. R.C. Nickolia, pastor, will be celebrant of the requiem high Mass. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday. A parish vigil will be held there at 8 p.m. Thursday.

Amy Marie Winkler was born last June 27 and is survived, in addition to her parents, by the maternal grandfather, Joseph F. Schneider, Kiel; and the paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Winkler, St. Anna. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday with a Mass of the Angels at St. Ann�s Catholic Church, St. Anna, with the Rev. Benedict H. Marx, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Kiel. Friends may call at the Meiselwitz Funeral Home in Kiel after 7 o�clock this evening.

Plymouth {Special} �The two young women who were hurt in an auto accident that claimed two lives in the Town of Rhine Tuesday afternoon, were discharged today from Plymouth Hospital. Mrs. Donald Winkler, 21, and Mrs. Wayne Lisowe, 17, both of R. 1, New Holstein, had been hospitalized since the two car mishap. Mrs. Winkler�s three-month-old daughter, Amy, was fatally injured in the crash. The three were occupants of a car driven by Mrs. Winkler. Dennis Schockmel, 72, R. 1, Glenbeulah, lone occupant of the other car, was killed outright in the crash at the intersection of County Trunks A and E, two miles east of Rhine Center.

He Will Be Missed. The untimely death of Dennis Schockmel of R.1, Glenbeulah, in an automobile accident Tuesday will come as a severe shock to his many friends in Sheboygan County and surrounding areas where he was widely known and well liked.

A cheesemaker by trade, he owned and operated the State Road Cheese Factory in the Town of Rhine for 30 years. At the time of his death, at the age 72, he was employed at the Town of Rhine cheese factory at Rhine Center. He was popular with and respected by his fellow tradesmen, and was a past president of the Sheboygan County Cheesemakers� Association.

But it was through his interest in youth and his love for baseball that he got to know the most people and made the most friends. As a youth he played baseball and alter became president of the Kettle Moraine Baseball League, a position eh held for many years.

Hundreds of adults today, who as youths played on teams in that league, will tell you that he was the lifeblood of that organization and that there was always keen interest in the league and good attendance while he was head of it. Years later he managed the Armstorng Aces, a girls� softball team.

Dennis, as he was popularly known, was also an ardent fan of the Sheboygan Chairmakers baseball team. Each year on the Sunday baseball opening day the directors of the team always held a dinner prior to a parade to the baseball park. He never missed one of those events and, whenever possible, was at the park rooting for the Chairmakers.

While quiet and somewhat reserved in disposition, he had a friendly personality that drew people to him. He was always ready with a smile and was always glad to see his friends. He was a fine gentleman.

Dennis Schockmel will be missed by the countless friends who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Frank Schockmel, an old and well-known resident of this area died on Thursday at his home 4 miles west of the village of Greenbush after a lengthy illness. He was born November 1 in Belgium, and lived to be 74 years. At the age of 4 he came to America and 7 years later he came to this county. On February 24, 1885 he was married to Miss {Mary Ann} Prindiville of T. Greenbush, by whom he is survived with the following children: Mrs. T. Montgomery {Theresa, Mrs. Albert Montgomery} of Oshkosh; Mrs. May Lay {Mary, Mrs. Walter Lay of Milwaukee; Mrs. Katie Wolters {Katherine, Mrs. Theodore Wolters} of Sheboygan, Nora and Mrs. Agnes Popp of Sheboygan Falls; John of Osceola; Henry of St. Cloud; Frank of Glenbeulah; Thomas at home; Lawrence of Camp Custer; and James at home.

Frank Schockmel, 76, died Thursday morning at his home in Glenbeulah of cancer of which he had suffered for more than a year. The deceased was born in Germany and came to this country when he was a boy. He conducted a farm in Glenbeulah for a number of years. Besides his widow he is survived by eleven children: John, Frank, Dennis, Lorenz, James and Nora, Glenbeulah; Mrs. A. Montgomery, Oshkosh; Mrs. W. Lay, Milwaukee; Mrs. Theodore Wolters, Sheboygan, Mrs. L. Popp, Sheboygan Falls and Henry Schockmel, St. Paul, Minn. The funeral was held at 10 a.m. today from the house to the Osceola church, with burial in the Osceola cemetery.

Greenbush � Mrs. Mary Ann Schockmel died Saturday evening at 6 o�clock at her home, located west of Greenbush. Mrs. Schockmel, nee Prindiville, was born on September 1, 1856, in the town of Greenbush, the daughter of Dennis and Mary Prindiville. On February 24, 1885, she was married to Francis Schockmel at Mount Calvary. Mr. Schockmel preceded his wife in death sixteen years ago. Survivors are the following children, Nora of Ashford, Frank of Glenbeulah, Dennis of West Greenbush, and James of Town Greenbush; three stepchildren, Mrs. Theresa Montgomery of Oshkosh, Mrs. Catherine Wolters, of Sheboygan, and Henry Schockmel of Fond du Lac, fifteen grandchildren, and three brothers, James of Town Greenbush, John of Rutland, N.D., and Dennis of Sisseton, S.D. Mrs. Schockmel was a member of the Altar society of Our Lady of Angels church at Osceola and of the auxiliary to the American Legion at Greenbush. The funeral will be held Tuesday morning at 9 o�clock at the home Followed by service at 9:30 o�clock at Our Lady of Angels church. The Rev. Joseph Michaels, pastor, will officiate and interment will be made in the adjoining church cemetery. Relatives and friends may view the body at the home where it was taken today.

Plymouth � John Schockmel, Greenbush, passed away at 10:50 a.m. today after having been ailing for some time. The funeral will be held Monday morning at the Lady of Angels church, Armstrong. Further particulars will be announced later.

John Schockmel of Glenbeulah, died at eleven o�clock, Friday forenoon at the Plymouth Hospital, where he had been a week. Mr. Schockmel, who had a blacksmith shop, injured the thumb on his left hand while at work. Infection set in. Wednesday, the thumb was amputated but he was unable to rally. Mr. Schockmel, who was not married is survived by his step-mother, Mrs. Mary Schockmel, Greenbush; one brother, Henry of Fond du Lac; these half-brothers: Dennis, Lawrence and James of the two of Greenbush; two sisters, Mrs. Kate Wolthers of Sheboygan, and Mrs. Theresa Montogmery, Oshkosh, and two half-sisters; Mrs. Louis Popp, of Cleveland, Manitowoc county, and Miss Nora Schockmel, Campbellsport. The funeral was held this morning from the Wittkopp funeral home to Our Lady of Angels church, Osceola with interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Lawrence Schockmel, 71, Greenbush, died Saturday noon at Plymouth Hospital where he had been a patient since Thursday. Born Oct. 19, 1892, in Greenbush, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Schockmel, and married the former Nina Moynihan of Greenbush Sept. 17, 1927 at St. Fridolin�s Catholic Church in Glenbeulah. Following their marriage, the couple farmed in the Town of Greenbush until his retirement five years ago. Mr. Schockmel was a former member of the Greenbush Volunteer Fire Department, and a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Fridolin�s Church. He was a veteran of World War I, serving in France, and a member of Plymouth World War I Barracks and the Haslee-Schmitz-Doebert American Legion Post in Greenbush. Survivors are his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Melvin {Elizabeth} Hansmann of Glenbeulah; four grandchildren, and a brother, Frank of Glenbeulah. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Fridolin�s Catholic Church in Glenbeulah following brief family rites at 9:15 a.m. at the Huss Funeral Home in Plymouth. The Rev. Robert Wolf, pastor, will be celebrant of the requiem high Mass. Military rites will be conducted at the graveside in the parish cemetery by the Greenbush American Legion Post. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday. A parish vigil will be held there at 8:00 p.m. Thursday. Mr. Huss said the services were delayed until Thursday and Friday because of the fire that damaged the interior of the funeral home Saturday.

Mrs. Nina Schockmel, 86, a retired teacher, died Wednesday evening at the Plymouth Extended Care Facility after a two-week illness. She had been a resident of the nursing home since last October. Born Feb. 9, 1898, in Greenbush, a daughter of Timothy and Elizabeth Mangan Moynihan, she attended Greenbush Elementary School and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1911, and from teacher�s training in Plymouth in 1912. She taught in grade schools in Sheboygan and Fond du Lac counties for many years. On Sept. 17, 1927, she was married to Lawrence Schockmel at St. Fridolin Catholic Church, Glenbeulah. The couple operated a farm in the Town of Greenbush until retiring. Mrs. Schockmel moved to Glenbeulah several years after the death of her husband in 1964. She was a member of St. Fridolin Catholic Church, the Christian Mothers Society of the parish, and the Apostolate of Suffering. She also was a member of the Greenbush American Legion Auxiliary and the Plymouth Alumni Association. Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Allen {Elizabeth} Quackenboss of Route 1, St. Cloud; five grandchildren and five step-grandchildren; a great-grandchild, and two step-great-grandchildren. A sister and her stepmother also preceded her in death. The funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Fridolin Catholic Church, preceded by family rites at 9:45 a.m. at the Huss Funeral Home, Plymouth. The Rev. Cletus Kaiser, pastor, will be celebrant. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Friday. A parish vigil will be held there at 7:30 p.m.

Frank Schockmel, 85, of Glenbeulah, died at Plymouth Hospital at 8:15 a.m. today after a six-month illness. He was born Jan. 14, 1887, in the Town of Greenbush, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Schockmel. On March 2, 1925, he married Hilma Costello at Waukegan, Ill. The couple lived in Glenbeulah since marriage. He was a mechanic by trade and operated a garage in Glenbeulah. He is survived by his wife. He was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters, two stepbrothers, and three stepsisters. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Wittkopp Funeral Home, Plymouth. The Rev. Richard Baer, pastor of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church at Plymouth will officiate. Burial will be in Greenbush Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Thursday, until the time of services.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Monday at Wittkopp Funeral Service in Plymouth for Mrs. Hilma Schockmel, 79, formerly of Glenbeulah, who died Friday morning at Plymouth Extended Care Facility, where she had been a patient for three years. The Rev. Lester Bischoff, Sheboygan County Lutheran Institutional Chaplain, will officiate. Burial will be in Greenbush Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 p.m. Sunday until the time of services. A memorial has been established in Mrs. Schockmel�s name for the Arthritis Fund. The former Hilma Costello was born on October 22, 1901, in Glenbeulah, a daughter of John and Katherine Feldmann Costello. She attended Glenbeulah schools and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1919. On Mar. 1925, she married Frank Schockmel in Waukegan, Ill. The couple lived at Glenbeulah after their marriage. Mr. Schockmel died in September 1972. Mrs. Schockmel had been a resident of Sunny Ridge for six years prior to going to Plymouth Extended Health Care Facility. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Ernest Meyer of Glenbeulah, and a brother, Allen Costello of San Antonio, Tex. She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Miss Nora Schockmel, 72, of R. 1, Glenbeulah, died Tuesday at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac, following a one-month illness. She was born Nov. 17, 1885, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Schockmel. She spent most of her life keeping house for Catholic priests in the Milwaukee Archdiocese and the Madison Diocese. She was a member of the Christian Mothers and Altar Society at the parishes in which she was working. Surviving are three brothers. Frank of Glenbeulah, Dennis of the Town of Greenbush and Lawrence of Greenbush. Her parents, a brother, a sister, two half-brothers and three half-sisters preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. at the Huss Funeral Home, Plymouth, and 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church, Armstrong. The Rev. Walter Schuster, pastor of the church, will be celebrant of the Requiem Mass. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Huss funeral Home after 2 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services for Miss Nora Schockmel, 72, Glenbeulah, who died Sept. 9, were held Friday at 9:30 a.m. at the Huss Funeral Home, Plymouth, and 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Angels Church at Armstrong. The Rev. Valery P. Schuster officiated and burial was in the parish cemetery. The sanctuary priests were the Rev. John B. Reichel and the Rev. Arnold Lehman. Pallbearers were Jerry Schockmel, Joe Shea, Richard How, Melvin Hansmann, Milton Rolwe and William Casper.

James L. Schockmel, 57, life long resident of the town of Greenbush, died at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac, where he had been a patient for the past two weeks. He was born Oct. 27, 1895, in Greenbush, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Schockmel. Nov. 24, 1925, he married Miss Lilly LaBudde. He was affiliated with the Holy Name Society of Our Lady of Angel�s Church, Armstrong. He was a member of the Sheboygan County FHA committee. For 15 years he served as clerk of the State Road School district and for the same length of time served as chairman of the AAA of the town of Greenbush. He is survived by his wife; one son, Gerald, at home; two daughters, miss Marie, at home; and Mrs. Charles {Gloria} Brickner, Sheboygan; three brothers, Frank, Glenbeulah; Lawrence of Greenbush; and Dennis, town of Greenbush; two sisters, Miss Nora Schockmel, Madison; and Mrs. Agnes Popp, Sheboygan;� two half-sisters, Mrs. Theresa Montgomery, Oshkosh; and Mrs. Ted Wolther, Sheboygan. Two half brothers and a half sister preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 8:45, at the Gentine Funeral home, Plymouth, and at 9:30 a.m. from Our Lady of Angel�s Church, Armstrong. The Rev. Thomas Trahey will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Members of the Holy Name Society will hold a vigil at the funeral home at 9 p.m. Friday. Friends may call from 2 p.m. Friday until time of services.

Funeral services for James L. Schockmel were held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Angles Church, Armstrong, following brief rites at 8:45 a.m. at the Gentine Funeral Home, Plymouth. The Rev. Thomas P. Trahey, pastor, was celebrant of the requiem high mass. Committal rites were conducted in the parish cemetery. Members of the Holy Name Society of Our Lady of Angels parish attended the services in a body, and formed an honor guard from the church to the grave. Mrs. Lilly J. Schockmel, age 91, of 820 N. Ninth St., Sheboygan, passed away Friday morning, Jan. 24, at St. Nicholas Hospital Sheboygan. The former Lilly LaBudde was born Aug. 4, 1900 in the Town of Rhine, a daughter of the late Reinhold and Josephine Gaffron LaBudde. She graduated from Elkhart Lake High School in 1917 and the teachers training course at Plymouth High School in 1919. She also attended the Milwaukee County Normal School. She taught elementary schools near Elkhart Lake and Glenbeulah and in later years she also taught business math at the Sheboygan Vocational School. After moving to Sheboygan, she had worked at H.C. Prange Co. and in summer months had worked at Siebkens Resort in Elkhart Lake. On Nov. 24, 1925, she was married to James Schockmel in Ashford, Wis., by the Rev. John Greunwald. Her husband preceded her in death July 15, 1953. She is a member of the Holy Name Catholic Church in Sheboygan. Survivors include one son, Gerald {Karen} Schockmel of Lompac, Ca.; two daughters, Mrs. Marie {Miles} Calvey of Plymouth, and Mrs. Gloria {Charles} Brickner of Sheboygan, nine grandchildren and nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by eight brothers and five sisters. The funeral Mass will be held Monday, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church in Armstrong. The Rev. Richard Robinson, pastor, will be celebrant. Burial will be in Our Lady of Angels Catholic Cemetery. Family rites will be held at the Wittkopp Funeral Home in Plymouth at 9:15 a.m. Friends may call at the Wittkopp Funeral Home in Plymouth from 4 until 8 p.m. Sunday and on Monday until the time of services. A vigil service will be held at the funeral home at 7 p.m. Sunday evening.

Retired Carpenter, Native of Town of Forest, Dies At Age of 73 in Hospital. Henry Joseph Schockmel, 73, a retired carpenter and a native of the Town of Forrest, died at 11:30 a.m. today at St. Agnes hospital after a long illness. Funeral services will be held Monday at 9:45 a.m. at the Geo. M. Dugan funeral home, where the body will be in state after 7 p.m. Saturday and at 10:15 a.m. at St. Joseph�s church. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery. Born Feb. 7, 1876, Mr. Schockmel came to Fond du Lac from Forest as a young man, and was engaged in carpentry for years. He lived at 104 � Hamilton place. Surviving are his widow; two step-daughters, Mrs. Marie Sawell, Menasha, and Mrs. Kenneth Bickers, Appleton; two sisters, Mrs. Tracy Montgomery, Oshkosh, and Mrs. Kathryn Wolters, Sheboygan; two half-sisters, Miss Nora Schockmel, Town of Forest, and Mrs. Agnes Popp, Sheboygan; and four half-brothers, Frank, Lawrence and Dennis, Glenbeulah, and James, Town of Greeenbush.

Funeral services for Henry Joseph Schockmel, who died Friday, were held today at 9:45 a.m. at the Geo. M. Dugan funeral home and at 10:15 a.m. at St. Joseph�s church, the Rev. Henry G. Riordan officiating. Burial was at Calvary cemetery, where the Rev. Joseph Hosch conducted rites. Pallbearers were Fred Meyer, Harold Wilderman, John Morgan, Henry Hencke, Marry Jacobs and Kenneth Jacobs. Also, Alvin Schwab, who for years was foreman of the Two Rivers Manufacturing Co. here, and for an additional number of years ran a store in the 3rd Ward on the Southside, recently died in Sheboygan at age 55. He had never married.

Conrad Schreier, the well-known brewer of Sheboygan who is equally well known here, has died at age 74.

Mrs. Amelia M. Schaefer, 80, of 209 Armory St., died at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Agnes Hospital. She was born Sept. 14, 1882, at Leopolis, Wis., a daughter of John and August Arnold Daebler. She was married to Henry Suchmill {sic. Schockmel} and he died in 1949. On Dec. 5, 1953, she was married to Nickolas J. Schaefer at St. Patrick�s Church. Mrs. Schaefer was a member of St. Patrick�s Church and Altar and Rosary Society. Surviving are her widower; a brother, Herman Daebler of Clintonville; a sister, Mrs. Minnie Hencke of Oshkosh; two stepsons, Agathor Schaefer of Chilton and Gaylord Schaefer of Burlington; and three stepdaughters, Mrs. Alvira Schultz and Mrs. Cyrilla Fuhrmann, both of Tucson, Ariz., and Mrs. Bernita Meier of Milwaukee. A daughter, four sisters and two brothers preceded Mrs. Schaefer in death. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Patrick�s Church. The Rev. Edward Sippel will officiate, and burial will be in St. Claudius Cemetery at St. Cloud. Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Audrey L. Suhrke, Review Society Editor Dies; Rites Yesterday

Funeral services were held yesterday {Wednesday, Jan. 8} for Mrs. Audrey L. Suhrke, 71, of 133 E. Mill St., Plymouth. She passed away Saturday at 11:10 p.m. at the Plymouth Hospital following a five day illness.

Services were conducted by the Loyalty Chapter, No. 118, Order of the Eastern Star, at the Wittkopp Funeral Home, with burial following in the Plymouth Union Cemetery. The Service Star Legion conducted memorial services at the funeral home on Tuesday evening.

A memorial is being established in memory of Mrs. Suhrke for the Heart Fund.

She was born on June 24, 1892 in Plymouth, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. T. V. Volk. She attended Plymouth schools and was graduated from the Plymouth High School in 1908. Following graduation, she taught in various elementary schools throughout the county.

On Aug. 7, 1917 she was married to Robert A. Suhrke in Appleton, Wis. The couple made their home in Plymouth. Mr. Suhrke preceded her in death in 1941.

Mrs. Suhrke was active in community and club work. She was a member of the Loyalty Chapter, No. 118, Order of Eastern Star in Plymouth and guardian secretary of Bethel 45, International Order of Jobs Daughters. She was a charter member and past president of the Auxiliary to the Ladwig-Zinkgraf Post, No. 243, American Legion in Plymouth. She was a member of the Plymouth Woman's Club and and the Plymouth Chapter, Service Star Legion, a past state president and chapter president. A past national treasurer of the Service Star Legion, she was presently serving on the national board.

Mrs. Suhrke was active in newspaper work having been a reporter for the Plymouth Review for a number of years, then serving as Plymouth correspondent for the The Sheboygan Press for many years. She had also been employed at W.P.L.Y. radio station for a short time. Prior to her death, she had served the Plymouth Review again as society editor.

She is survived by one son, Robert Suhrke of Colorado Springs, Colo., and one granddaughter, Susan Elaine.

Mrs. Otto Scheller, 77, a native of Sheboygan county and former teacher in Sheboygan county schools, died suddenly Friday at her home at 2702 N. Twenty-sixth St, Milwaukee.

Mrs. Scheller, nee Laura Franey, was born at Greenbush Aug.22, 1872, the daughter of Thomas and Ellen Franey. She attended grade school at Greenbush and high school at Plymouth, then taught for eight years in Sheboygan county, part of the time at Random Lake and Cedar Grove.

She was married to Edward Wehe 55 years ago, and the couple lived in Plymouth, Waukesha and Milwaukee. He preceded her in death and 10 years ago she was married to Mr. Scheller.

During her years in Milwaukee Mrs. Scheller at various times served as school principle, music teacher and insurance agent. She had written music and poetry and had both published.

She leave her husband: four sons, Gordon T. Wehe, Edward C. Wehe, Roy Wehe of Milwaukee and Thomas Wehe of Pewaukee; two daughters, Mrs Ed. (Arlisle) Flatz of Milwaukee and Mrs Alta Riley of Pewaukee; three sisters, Mrs. Louis Wesendorf, of Sheboygan Falls, Mrs. T.F. Volk, of Plymouth and Mrs. Alva White, of Glenbeulah; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Harder Funeral Home, 4217 W. Fond du Lac Avenue, Milwaukee and burial will be in Pinelawn Cemetery there. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until the time of the service.

Mrs. Joseph Schockmel of the town of Forest, Fond du Lac Co., died Friday of dropsy and the funeral was held Sunday with interment in the Greenbush cemetery. Mrs. Shockmel, who was forty-eight years of age, had been married for 24 years, and her husband survives her.

Mrs. Jeanette Shuckmel, aged forty-eight years died at her home Friday, of dropsy. The funeral was held at the M.E. church Sunday afternoon, with interment in the village cemetery.

Friday morning at 2 o�clock occurred the death of Mrs. Joe Shockmel an old, resident of this neighborhood, after but a short illness. The funeral took place Sunday at 10 o�clock at Greenbush with interment in the Greenbush cemetery.

Mrs. Emma Scheele, 87, widow of the late Henry Scheele Sr., died Friday afternoon at St. Nicholas Hospital after a brief illness.

For the past three years Mrs. Scheele had been a resident of the Anna M. Reiss Home. Prior to that she had lived at 2225 N. 9th St.

The former Emma Koch, she was born in Hamburg, Germany, Feb. 22, 1869, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Koch.

She came to Sheboygan with her parents when a child and was married here to Mr. Scheele in 1890. Her husband, a former carpenter, died in 1929.

She was a member of the German Ladies Aid Society of Zion Reformed Church.

Surviving are four sons, Adolph, Victor and Paul, Sheboygan, and Walter, Kohler; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Otto Nickisch and Mrs. Frank Hartfiel, both of Sheboygan.

She was preceded in death by two sons, William and Henry Jr., both of Sheboygan.

Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Ballhorn Funeral Chapels with the Rev. Clarence Koehler, pastor of Zion Reformed Church, officiating. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral chapels from 11 a.m. Sunday.

Funeral services for Vide Sinkovec, 70, of 837 N. Commerce St., who died Wednesday were held this morning with a requiem high mass at SS. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church.

The Rev. Erwin Matt, curate, was celebrant. Burial took place in Greendale Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Victor, Justin and Frank Virant, Joseph Rupar, Victor Schuster and Victor Repenshek.

A parish vigil, led by Father Matt, was held Friday evening at the funeral home.

St. Cloud - Joe Shockmel died at his home here Wednesday afternoon at four o�clock.

Mrs. Sarah C. Skinner, 82, passed away early Friday evening at the home of her daughter Mrs. L. H. Zumbrum, Sheboygan Falls, following a lingering illness.

Mrs. Skinner was born in Ringo county, Pennsylvania, and was married in Macon, Mo., on February 12, 1880. She made her home there until 1939 when she came to Sheboygan Falls to live with her daughter.

Survivors are the following children, Alfred of Portland, Ore.; Harry of Fort Collins, Col., Elmer of Wausaukee, Wis., James of Seattle, Wash.; Janie Haupt of Columbia, Mo., Mrs. Nora Zumbrum of Sheboygan Falls and Virgil of Jonesville, Mich.; a brother John Garst of Palmyria, Mo.; a sister Mrs. Susie Powers of Caboul, Mo.; ten grandchildren and one great grandchild.

The remains were taken to the A. E. Rauschert funeral home at Sheboygan Falls where friends may call after 7 o'clock this evening until the time of the services which will be held Sunday at 2 p.m., the Very Rev. H.S. Stanton officiating. Following the services the remains will be sent to Macon, Mo., where interment will be made Wednesday afternoon.

Frank O. Smith, 68, of 2019 N. Fifteenth street, passed away early this morning at St. Nicholas hospital.

The body was taken to the Ballhorn Funeral chapels where services will be held Saturday morning at 10 o'clock. Burial will be made in Calvary cemetery. Rt. Rev. Msgr. Philipp Dreis will officiate.

After a short illness Mrs. Wilhelmine Strassberg, died last week Wednesday, in the home of her grandson, Mr. Robert Schmidt, close to Howards Grove, where she has lived for several years. She had previously lived for several years. She had previously been a long time resident of Kiel and had the high age of 86 years. The deceased, who had been born in Germany, came with her husband Andreas Strassberg to America 54 years ago, where they settled in the Town of Sheboygan Falls and lived with their family for many years. Later they moved to Kiel, where her husband died 13 years ago. She leaves behind three daughters, 20 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. The funeral will take place on Saturday afternoon in the Kiel Cemetery, she will be laid to rest next to her husband. Pastor Helm from Schwarzwald will give the service.

Funeral services for Arthur A. Schilling, 51, of 1022 High Ave., who died Wednesday morning at his home after being stricken with a heart attack, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Steffen Funeral Chapels.

The Rev. Rudolph Scheffel, pastor of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, will officiate and burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel after 4 p.m. today.

A native of Sheboygan, Mr. Schilling was born Aug. 8, 1908, a son of Adolph and Millie Koch Schilling. He attended Franklin School and was confirmed at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in 1922 by the late Rev. William Wambsganss.

He served in the U.S. Army for four years. Since his discharge he had been associated with his brother, Orville, in the operation of a mink ranch in the Black River area. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

Survivors are his mother, Mrs. Millie Ertel, Sheboygan, and the brother, Orville, Black River. His father preceded him in death.

Funeral services for Arthur A. Schilling, 51, who died Wednesday at his home, 1022 High Ave., were held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Steffen Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Rudolph Scheffel, pastor of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, officiated, and burial was in Wildwood Cemetery.

During the services Kenneth Lang sang "Just As I Am" and "Abide With Me." He was accompanied by Mrs. Rosalind Truttschel.

Alva E. Smith, 51, died at 8 p.m., Saturday evening, at his home, 10 E. Mill street, Plymouth, after an eight-months� illness.

He was born on July 12, 1891, in the town of Greenbush and was married on October 10, 1913, to Miss Ruth Bartlett in Plymouth. The family lived in the town of Greenbush until 19 years ago, when they moved to Plymouth to reside.

Survivors are his wife, two children, Irvin and Mrs. Wayne Conger, all of Plymouth, and the following step-sisters and brothers, Mrs. Albert Opitz and Merrill Nelson, both of Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. William Rohde, Plymouth, and Edwin Nelson, somewhere in the armed forces.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 o�clock on Wednesday afternoon at the Wittkopp Funeral home, the Rev. E. J. Fitzpatrick of St. Paul�s Episcopal church officiating, with burial in the Greenbush cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from Tuesday afternoon until the time of the services.

Funeral services for Adam Simkaitis, age 64, who passed away at the St. Nicholas hospital on Monday, were held on Wednesday morning at 7:45 at the Gerend Funeral home and at 9 o�clock with a requiem mass at Immaculate Conception church.

Funeral services for William August Steffen, 79, of 1202 S. 17th St., who passed away at Sheboygan Memorial hospital Thursday morning, were held at Immanuel Lutheran Church Saturday at 2 p.m.

The Rev. Herbert J. A. Bouman, pastor, officiated and burial was made in Lutheran cemetery. The male choir of Immanuel Church sang two hymns � �Asleep in Jesus� during the church service and �Jerusalem� at the grave.

Pallbearers were Otto Schultz, Alfred Schultz, William C. Steffen, George Steffen, Walter Steffen and Walter Ninmer.

Mrs. John Sell, 87, died Sunday at the Bethesda Nursing home, 1739 N. 6th St., where she had been living the past two years.

Nee Orinda Nicholson, she was born Nov. 19, 1864, at Charlestown, Wis., attended Chilton High School and taught school for several years after her graduation from Oshkosh State Teachers� College.

On April 26, 1888, she was married to John Sell. The couple moved to Sheboygan in 1895.

Until recently Mrs. Sell was an active member of the Sheboygan Woman�s Club and the Silver Cross Circle of the King�s Daughters. She was secretary of the circle for many years.

Survivors are one son, George H., of Sheboygan, and a grandson, John C. Sell. Her husband, one daughter, Vivian, and a son, J. Curtiss, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, at the Ballhorn Funeral chapels with the Rev. Wilford H. Evans, pastor of the First Congregational Church, officiating. Burial will be in Wildwood.

Friends may call at the funeral home until the hour of services. The casket will remain closed.

Funeral services for Mrs. John Sell, 87, of 1736 N. Second St., who passed away Sunday afternoon at the Bethesda Nursing Home in this city, were held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Ballhorn Funeral Chapels with the Rev. Wilford H. Evans of the First Congregational Church officiating. Interment was made in the family lot in Wildwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Franklyn Sell, Leon Nickolson, William Morgan, Hugo Kaems, Charles Blake and Jerome Zufelt.

Among the earliest settlers of Sheboygan county was Mrs. Edward Shaw, whose demise occurred at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Wm. Clark of Douneis Grove, Illinois, on October 9, 1909. The remains were brought to Sheboygan and were interred in the Sheboygan Falls cemetery.

Mrs. Shaw's maiden name was Catherine Murdock. She was born in Thompson county, New York, on June 9, 1822. In 1847 she was married to Edward Shaw, and one year later they came to this county settling in the town of Lyndon, where they were among the earliest pioneers. Mr. Shaw passed away four years ago, and since then Mrs. Shaw has made her home with her daughter.

Albert Anton Schneider died Nov. 22, at Onion River. The deceased was born in Germany, May 4, 1832, and came to Sheboygan county in 1868. Two years later he was married at Onion River to Wilhelmina Frohman, who still survives him. Mr. Schneider was a mill wright by trade. The children left are Julia of Waukegan, Ill, Mrs. Albert Hushold and Emil of Chicago and Eleanor at home. One sister, Mrs. Doehling of Nebraska also survives.

Charles Schultz, 86, of 1739 S. 14th St., died Sunday evening at St. Nicholas Hospital, where he had been a patient one week.

He was born March 4, 1887, in Lithuania, son of the late Francis and Mary Schultz.

He married Anna Paulauskas in Lithuania on Oct. 16, 1906, and he came to the United States in 1911 and settled in Sheboygan. His wife died Oct. 3, 1957.

Mr. Schultz was employed for many years at the Sheboygan Waste Material Co., retiring in 1952.

He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Surviving are three sons, John, Joseph and Anton; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Lazarewicz and Mrs. Clarence (Ann) Zimmermann, all of Sheboygan; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded by several brothers and sisters.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Church, with the Rev. Ignatius Staskunas, pastor, celebrant. Mass will be preceded by brief family rites at 9:30 at the Gerend-Habermann Funeral Home. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Tuesday.

There will be a parish vigil there at 7:30 Tuesday evening.

Charles D. Sorensen, 75, of 2320 W. Water St., died Tuesday at St. Nicholas Hospital after a brief illness.

A native of Warren, Pa., he was born April 7, 1891, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Sorensen.

As a young man he moved to Marshfield, and on Nov. 26, 1913, he married Bertha Mess of Marshfield. The couple moved to Sheboygan after their marriage.

Mr. Sorensen was employed as a bartender in several Sheboygan taverns until his retirement in 1956.

Survivors include his wife; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Edward Stiglish, Oak Park, Ill.; and one brother, Nelson Jr., Fla. A daughter preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Ballhorn Funeral Chapels, with the Rev. Byron Galyen, pastor of the Assembly of God Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Wildwood Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral chapel after 5 p.m. today.

Otto Schneider, 61, a well known Millersville barber, died of an apparent heart attack at his home in Millersville Tuesday.

Born April 17, 1905, in Town of Herman, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Schneider. He married Miss Wilma Dettling on June 17, 192_ {blurred}. The couple resided in Millersville where Mr. Schneider was a barber for 40 years.

He also operated the Millersville Garage from 1930 to 1949.

A life-long member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Mr. Schneider served on the church council for three years. He belonged to the Millersville Fire Department and to the Recreation Association.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Gene Myrtle Eckardt, Sheboygan; two sisters, Miss Hilda Schneider and Mrs. Alfred Bitter, both of Millersville, and one brother, Albert, of Howards Grove.

Mrs. Peter Sanders, 70, of 816 Bell Ave., died suddenly at St. Nicholas Hospital Friday afternoon.

The former Mary (Mayme) Ayers, she was born in Sheboygan Jan. 18, 1893, a daughter of the late James and Gertrude Ayers. She attended St. Peter Claver School until her family moved to Dacada and lived there for several years before returning to Sheboygan.

She was married to Peter Sanders at Holy Name Church Nov. 28, 1917.

She was a member of Holy Name Parish, the St. Ann's Christian Mothers and Altar Society, the Liederkranz Ladies Auxiliary, the Holy Name Dramatic Club and the Jolly Five.

Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Lynn (Gertrude) Hall of Sheboygan; a son Joseph Sanders of Billings, Mont.; four grandchildren; four brothers, Lawrence Ayers of Sheboygan, Louis of Johnsonville, Joseph of Modesta, Calif., and John; and a sister Mrs. Frank Walsh of Eden, Wis.

Funeral services will be held at Holy Name Church at 10 a.m. Monday following brief rites at Gerend's Funeral Home. The Rev. Anthony J. Knackert will be celebrant of the requiem high Mass. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Arthur Schwoerer, 52, of 3133 S. Highway 141, died Friday night at St. Nicholas Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Cleveland, Wis., on Feb. 2, 1911, he was the son of the late Joseph and Rosina Schwoerer. He attended St. Wendel's Catholic School and on Oct. 29, 1934 married the former Delores Ries.

Mr. Schwoerer was employed at the Hayssen Manufacturing Co. the past 12 years.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, Roy, Mark, Arthur and Donald of Sheboygan; three daughters, Sister Marietta of St. Agnes Convent, Fond du Lac, and Marie and Elaine, at home; three brothers, Joe of Sheboygan, Herbert of Cleveland, and Erwin of Manitowoc; one sister, Mrs. Al (Rose) Wagner of Sheboygan.

Mr. Schwoerer was a member of St. Peter Claver Church, the church Aid Society, Holy Name Society and the Apostolate of the Suffering.

Funeral services will be held at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday at the Ramm Funeral Home, followed by a requiem high Mass at St. Peter Claver Church at 9:15 a.m., the Rev. Robert M. Hoeller officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Vigils will be held Monday by the Holy Name Society at 7:30 p.m., the St. Peter Claver Aid Society at 7:45 and the Apostolate of the Suffering at 8.

Funeral services for Miss Geraldine Smies, 42, who passed away last Saturday were held Tuesday with a service at the home at 1:30 p.m. followed by a service at the First Presbyterian church in Oostburg at 2 p.m.

The Rev. A. VanZante, pastor of the Hope Reformed church in Sheboygan preached the sermon, followed by brief remarks by the Rev. J. R. Euwema of Cedar Grove. The Rev. Edward Huibregtse of Des Moines, Ia., spoke briefly at the Oostburg cemetery where burial was made.

Pallbearers, cousins of the deceased, were Jannes Smies, Daniel J. Smies, Abram Smies, Jr., Gordon Verhelst, Donald and Roland Huibregtse.

At the church service a mixed quartet consisting of Miss Mary Brill, Mrs. Earl Lammers, Hugo and Jimmy Kranendonk, sang "How Firm a Foundation: and "Beautiful Valley of Eden". They were accompanied by Mrs. Harold TeRonde at the organ.

The deceased was born in Town Holland where she attended the rural school and was graduated from the Wisconsin Memorial academy at Cedar Grove, the Sheboygan Business college and Hope college at Holland, Mich. She took post-graduate work at the University of Toronto and Biblical seminary in New York City.

For a while she worked in the office of Memorial hospital in Sheboygan and later was appointed missionary to China by the Reformed Church in America and sailed on Sept. 16, 1939, on the ship Empress of Russia.

She worked at Kulangsu until Dec. 7, 1941, when she was taken captive and held as a prisoner of war. She was kept under heavy guard and later was exchanged for Japanese nationals at Laurenso Marquis, Portuguese East Africa, the exchange port where she boarded the M.S. Gripsholm and arrived in Jersey City, Aug. 25, 1942.

After her return she was an assistant to a pastor at Hudson, N.Y., and later at Third Reformed church in Holland, Mich., where she remained until her illness forced her to retire.

Among the floral tributes were those from Citizens State bank, Cedar Grove, board of foreign missions, RCA, New York City, Third Reformed church, Holland, Mich., Hope Reformed church in Sheboygan, and Loyal Daughters of the First Presbyterian church in Oostburg.

Those who attended the services from away were the Rev. and Mrs. Edward Huibregtse, Des Moines, Ia.; Mr. and Mrs. Louis Huibregtse, Brillion; Mr. and Mrs. Guy Schuydema and Gerald, and Mrs. Elizabeth Lochnidt, Chicago, and Mrs. William DeWitt, Holland, Mich.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m., today, at the Lutheran cemetery for the infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Romaine Spira, 1328 Jefferson avenue. The Rev. E. T. Schmidtke, pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church, officiated.

The child passed away at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, at Memorial Hospital shortly after birth.

Survivors include the parents; two sisters, Corrine and Barbara; the maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Fischer; and the paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George Spira.

William C. Siebert, 63, of 2211 N. 8th St., passed away unexpectedly at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital at noon on Tuesday. His death comes as a great shock to all who knew him as he apparently had been in good health until he became ill on Tuesday morning.

Mr. Siebert was born in Sheboygan on June 6, 1892, and had been a lifelong resident of this city. He attended St. Paul's Lutheran School and for a period of three years attended the Seminary in Addison, Ill. He was a member of St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church. Mr. Siebert was an employee of the Paper Box and Specialty Co. for many years. Prior to that time he conducted a shoe business in this city.

On October 10, 1911, he was married to Frieda Maas of this city. His wife survives him. Besides his parents, two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 on Friday afternoon at Nickel's Funeral home with the Rev. Karl Schulz of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will take place in the Lutheran cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7:30 this evening.

Kiel, Wis. - {Special} - John Scheib, 85, a resident of the town of Meeme for the past 72 years, passed away Friday at 8:30 p.m. at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Albert Eckardt, town Meeme, with whom he had been making his home.

Mr. Scheib was born December 15, 1856, in New York state, and for 16 years resided in Ohio before coming here. He has farmed all his life.

On May 13, 1891, he was married to Eva Altenberger of the town of Herman, and she preceded him in death July 19, 1913. Four children were born to the couple and one of them died in infancy.

Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. William (Clara) Wesener of town of Meeme, Mrs. Oscar (Elizabeth) Spritzer of town Schleswig and Mrs. Albert (Annie) Eckardt of town of Meeme; three grandchildren; a brother Phillip of Keystone, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the residence and at 2 p.m. at the Bethel Evangelical and Reformed Church in town Herman, the Rev. Calvin Franz officiating. Burial will be made in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at the Meiselwitz funeral home at Kiel from Sunday noon to Monday at 10 a.m. when the body will be removed to the residence. Friends may call at the residence from that time until the services.

Anton Shircel, 84, of R. 3, Sheboygan, died Monday at St. Nicholas Hospital where he had been a patient for the past month.

Born Nov. 6, 1882, in Trnoslavia, Yugoslavia, a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Shircel, he was married there to Mary Valencic in 1909. The following year they came to Sheboygan to make their home.

Mr. Shircel was employed at the Kohler Co. for 28 years, retiring in 1950.

He was a member of Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church; the KSKJ; St. John the Baptist Lodge No. 82 of the American Fraternal Union; Apostolate of Suffering; and the Kohler Quarter Century Club.

Survivors are his wife; eight sons, Anton Jr., Joseph, Frank, John, Carl, Cyril, Methodius and Edward, all of Sheboygan; three daughters, Sister M. Blanche, OSF, of Gary, Ind., Mrs. William (Angeline) Dekanich of Sheboygan, and Mrs. Raymond (Agnes) Schuster of Denver, Colo.; 52 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son.

A requiem Mass will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Church, following brief family rites at Gerend's Funeral Home. The Rev. James Schlaffer, pastor, will be the celebrant. Intement will be in Greendale Cemetery.

Batavia - (Special) - Mrs. Otto Seider, 53, died suddenly of a heart attack shortly after 3 p.m. Tuesday as she was carrying a pail of water from the house to her garden on the farm east of here. She was found by her husband, and Coroner Wesley Van Zanten was called.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the farm home and at 2 o'clock at the Batavia Lutheran church with interment in the church cemetery. The Rev. Clarence Krueger will officiate.

Survivors are her husband; two sons, Arno at the old Seider homestead east of here and Melvin at the new farm home; four daughters, Mrs. Edward (Ada) Drews of Wausau, Mrs. Leroy (Adeline) Koller of Fredonia, Mrs. Oswald (Olga) Eberhardt near Batavia, and Mrs. Stuart (Mildred) Schneider of Milwaukee. Nine grandchildren also survive.

Mrs. Sylvia Shircel, 66, of R. 3, Sheboygan Falls, died early this morning at St. Nicholas Hospital where she had been admitted Friday night.

The wife of Anton Shircel, the couple operated a grocery store at Six Corners for the past 16 years.

She was born in Kalkaska, Mich., on July 6, 1902, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Rickard.

On Feb. 5, 1942, she was married to Anton Shircel at Sacred Heart Church in Manitowoc.

She was a member of St. George's Catholic Church, Six Corners; the Christian Mothers Altar Society of the church; and the Apostolate of Suffering.

Survivors are her husband; one son, Joseph at home; and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Pearl and Mrs. Maude Warner, both of Charlevoix, Mich.

She was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

A requiem Mass will be celebrated for Mrs. Shircel at 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. George's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Richard Baer, pastor, celebrant of the Mass. Brief family rites will be conducted at 9 a.m. at the Gerend-Habermann Funeral Home, Sheboygan. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Mrs. Lucille Spaeth, 50, of 1427 Indiana Ave., died at St. Nicholas Hospital Wednesday morning. She had been a patient there for the past month.

She was born March 25, 1915, in the Town of Holland, a daughter of Edwin and Hattie Bruder. She attended the district school and Random Lake High School.

On June 17, 1944, she was married to Charles M. Spaeth in Sheboygan. He preceded her in death in December, 1964.

Surviving are a son, Martin; three daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Eva Jean) Bartlett, Glenbeulah, Mrs. Thomas (Rose Marie) Mikalowsky and Mrs. Dennis (Linda) Pongratz, both of Sheboygan, seven grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Ramm Funeral Home and at 10:30 at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church. The Rev. Robert M. Hoeller, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Mrs. Ottilie Sixel, widow of Albert Sixel, died at St. Nicholas hospital at 10:35 p.m. Saturday after a lingering illness.

She was born in town Meeme Nov. 2, 1872, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Fenn, and attended rural school. On April 19, 1897, she was married to Albert Sixel, of Centerville, and the couple located in Sheboygan.

Mr. Sixel died two and one-half years ago, and since that time Mrs. Sixel had lived with her daughter, Mrs. John Nelson, 1720 Elm avenue.

In addition to Mrs. Nelson, Mrs. Sixel is survived by a foster son, Harry O. Sixel, of Flint, Mich., four sisters, Mrs. William Ahrnsbrak and Mrs. Albert Stolzman, Sheboygan; Mrs. Louis Jacobson, Oconomowoc, and Mrs. James Allen, Detroit, and three brothers, Edward, this city, Oscar, Wauwatosa, and Harry, Wildwood, Wash.

She was a member of the First Congregational church. A home-loving wife and mother, she was devoted to her home and family and had a large circle of friends.

Funeral services will be held at the Robert H. Kroos Funeral home at 2 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Wilford Evans will officiate, and burial will be in Wildwood cemetery. Friends may view the body at the funeral home.

Norman H. Schierstedt, 77, R. 1, Plymouth, clerk of the Town of Plymouth since 1927, died Sunday night at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital where he had been admitted several hours earlier.

Born March 18, 1893 in the Town of Plymouth, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Emil Schierstedt.

He attended public school and St. John Lutheran School in Plymouth.

On Nov. 29, 1919 he married the former Anida Horneck in Plymouth. The couple have lived and farmed the Schierstedt homestead since their marriage.

He served as secretary of the Dairyman's Cooperative in Plymouth for 18 years.

Mr. Schierstedt was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Plymouth.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Theodore (Kathryn) Goking, Sheboygan; a step brother, Norman Horneck, Sheboygan.

A son and brother preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Wittkopp Funeral Home, Plymouth, the Rev. G. A. Karpinsky, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Plymouth Union Cemetery.

Mrs. Gladys E. Salter, 63, of Cascade, widow of the late Dr. H. G. Salter, died suddenly shortly after noon Sunday at her home. She had been in failing health for five years.

Born Aug. 11, 1891, in Cascade, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. David Peterson, she was married to Dr. Salter on Aug. 17, 1912. He died in 1938.

The couple made their home in Cascade their entire married life.

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Adrian (Mae) Steinke and Mrs. Lorraine Butler, both of Cascade, and six grandchildren. Two brothers and four sisters also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Wittkopp Funeral home, Plymouth, with the Rev. Henry Clark, pastor of the First Evangelical United Bretheran Church of Cascade, officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery at Plymouth.

The body will lie in state at the funeral home until the hour of services.

John C. L. Sutter, 76, of Route 2, Woodland Rd., a retired Sheboygan barber, died early Monday afternoon at St. Nicholas Hospital after a prolonged illness.

Born Aug. 20, 1878, in Sheboygan, a son of Jacob and Anna Sutter, he was confirmed at Zion Reformed Church, and attended Horace Mann School and the Sheboygan Business College.

He was married to Miss Paula Herziger at Zion Church on April 3, 1902. She died Feb. 22, 1944.

Mr. Sutter operated the barber shop in the Foeste Hotel for 47 years, retiring in 1948.

He was a life-long member of Zion Church and was a member of the Turners, the Sheboygan Elks Lodge and a former member of Co. H of the Wisconsin State Guard. An ardent hunter and fisherman, he also was a member of the North Point Gun Club at Rush Lake, Wis.

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Harry (Alice) Fox and Mrs. William (Marie) Rietz, and one son, Elmer, all of Sheboygan, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Three brothers and four sisters preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Ballhorn Funeral chapels, with the Rev. Clarence Koehler, pastor of Zion Reformed Church, officiating. Burial will be in the family lot in Lutheran cemetery.

The body will lie in state at the funeral chapel after noon Wednesday.

Mrs. George Schmitz, 73, of 1115 Huron Ave., died at St. Nicholas Hospital early today after a one week illness.

The former Ramona Pfeil, she was born Nov. 16, 1893, in the Town of Rhine, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Pfeil. She attended district school and was graduated from Glenbeulah High School.

She married George Schmitz on June 10, 1919, at Plymouth.

The couple lived in Sheboygan Falls nine years, in Waukesha four years, and then farmed in the Town of Plymouth for 11 years before moving to Sheboygan in 1950.

Survivors include her husband; a sister, Mrs. Leo (Claudia) O'Brien, of Plymouth; and nieces and nephews. Two brothers preceded her in death.

Private funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Wittkopp Funeral Home, Plymouth. The Rev. Lowell Ferguson, pastor of Salem United Church of Christ, Plymouth, will officiate. Burial will be in Greenbush Cemetery.

Raymond Sedlar, 54, a former Sheboygan resident, died Sunday in Milwaukee, where he had lived for the last 10 years.

Mr. Sedlar was born in Sheboygan on Dec. 27, 1912, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Sedlar. Survivors include one son, Raymond Jr., of Pensacola, Fla.; one grandchild; a sister, Mrs. Anthony (Esther) Brula, of Sheboygan; and his step-mother, Mrs. Elsie Sedlar, of Sheboygan.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Gerend Funeral Home. Fr. James Schlaffer, pastor of Ss. Cyril and Methodius Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Greendale Cemetery.

Mrs. Harvey Schuchardt, 69, of 524 School St., Kohler, was pronounced dead on arrival at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital early today.

Mrs. Schuchardt, who had been ailing since last Christmas, was taken to the hospital after being stricken at home.

The former Lucille Oehler, she was born in Sheboygan Sept. 13, 1903, a daughter of the late Otto and Ottilie Bethke Oehler.

She attended Horace Mann Elementary School and Sheboygan High School.

Her marriage to Mr. Schuchardt took place in Sheboygan, March 18, 1921.

She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Kohler and its Women's Auxiliary.

Surviving are her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Ruth) Maschke of Denison, Iowa, Mrs. Charles (Jean) Oberdeck of Los Angeles, and Mrs. Jack (Edith) Forsberg of Honolulu, Hawaii; nine grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Alice Keitel and Mrs. Emma Steinbruecker, both of Sheboygan, and Mrs. Ottilie Knabe, living in Pennsylvania.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Bethany Church, Kohler, with the Rev. Herbert Baker, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Kohler Cemetery.

Mrs. Susan Schipper, 88, of Cascade, widow of Engel, died early today of a lingering illness.

The former Susan Tellier, she was born at Oostburg, Sept. 18, 1873, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Tellier. Her marriage to Mr. Schipper took place April 30, 1902.

Following marriage the couple farmed briefly near Oostburg, then moved to a farm south of this city at the southwest corner of S. 12th St. and County Trunk EE.

They remained there until Mr. Schipper's death in February, 1949, following which Mrs. Schipper moved to the home of her son, Martin, in Cascade.

The son survives, along with three daughters, Mrs. Jennie Pickauski, Milwaukee, Mrs. Arno Nix and Miss Nellie Schipper, Sheboygan, a step-daughter, Mrs. Minnie Anderson, Racine, and two step-sons, John and Joseph, Los Angeles.

A son, three step-sons and a step-daughter also preceded her in death.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Ramm Funeral Home with the Rev. Harold A. Colenbrander, pastor of Hope Reformed Church, officiating. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery.

William C. Scharinger, 80, of 407 Mantle St., Elizabethtown, Ky., formerly of Sheboygan Falls, was found dead at home Monday where he lived with a son, Arthur.

Mr. Scharinger has three daughters and a sister who are Catholic nuns, a son who is a priest.

Born on June 28, 1893 in the Town of Wilson, he was a son of the late George and Mary Haen Scharinger. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I in Europe.

On Oct. 23, 1919 he married Ida Jacoby in the Town of Lima. She died Jan. 10, 1941.

He was employed by the City of Sheboygan Falls up until two years ago when he moved to Elizabethtown.

He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Sheboygan Falls.

Survivors include six daughters, Sr. Theresa Clare Scharing, Zanesville, Ohio, Mrs. George (Genevieve) West, Wrightstown, Mrs. George (Dorothy) Kuhn, Oostburg, Mrs. Jerome (Gertrude) Reindl, Oostburg, Sr. San Jose Scharinger, Ironwood, Mich., and Sr. Dismas Scharinger, Waukesha; three sons, Joseph of Caldwell, Texas, Arthur of Elizabethtown and the Rev. James Scharinger, Elma, Manitoba, Canada; 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Sr. Mary Theresa, Manitowoc.

Funeral services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Church, Sheboygan Falls, preceded by 10 a.m. family rites at the Huehns Funeral Home, Falls. The Rev. Donald Peters, pastor, will be celebrant of Mass. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Mary Schrantz, 80, Random Lake, died Wednesday night at St. Nicholas hospital following a lingering illness.

Born May 20, 1868, in Town Herman, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Mary Schrantz.

She is survived by a brother, Mike, of Random Lake, with whom she had made her home since 1945. She spent most of her life in Milwaukee.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 8:30 at the Wilk Funeral home and at 9 o'clock at St. Mary's church in Random Lake with the Rev. Peter Bronner officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery.

Friends may call from Friday noon until the time of services and the Christian Mothers will hold a vigil Friday evening at 8 o'clock at the funeral home.

Adam Schneikert, 59, passed away Saturday at 12:45 p.m. at St. Nicholas hospital after suffering from a stroke which occurred late Thursday afternoon.

The deceased was born January 28, 1876, in Hessen Domstadt, Germany, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Schneikert. He came with his parents to American when he was 8 years old and settled immediately in Sheboygan where he has resided ever since.

In 1909 he was married to Miss Barbara Meyer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frey Meyer, who preceded him in death a year later. Since that time he has made his home with a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Johnson, 1303 Bluff avenue. In apparent good health up to Thursday, his death came as a sudden shock to his relatives and friends.

Mr. Schneikert has been employed at the Garton Toy company plant for the past 20 years. He was a member of the Catholic Knights of Wisconsin and of the Holy Name church.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. at the Ballhorn Funeral Temple and at 9 a.m. at the Holy Name church. Monsignor Philipp Dreis will have charge of the services and burial will be made in the Schneikert lot in Calvary cemetery.

Mr. Schneikert is survived by one son, Frederick, and three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Johnson and Mrs. Fred Zastrow, both of Sheboygan, and Mrs. Phillip Schneikert of the town of Plymouth.

Frederick Schneider, 48, of 3315 S. 11th Pl., died at St. Nicholas Hospital early this morning of leukemia.

Born in Sheboygan, Sept. 25, 1923, he was a son of Mrs. Sophia and the late Henry Schneider Sr. He attended Central High School.

On June 29, 1949, he married Patricia Teskey here.

Mr. Schneider was employed at Lakeland Manufacturing Co. for 30 years and was a foreman when illness forced his retirement in April.

He was a member of St. Peter Claver Catholic Parish.

Survivors are his wife; his mother; three daughters, Mrs. Richard (Lynn) Brunnbauer of Sheboygan, Kathy of Fond du Lac, and Patricia, at home; six brothers, Henry Jr., Christ, John, Arthur, Alfred, and Richard, all of Sheboygan; two sisters, Mrs. Clarence Hennen and Mrs. Anthony Dorsana, both of Sheboygan, and two grandchildren.

A brother preceded him in death.

The funeral Mass will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter Claver Church, with the Rev. George Hopf, celebrant. Mass will follow 8:30 family rites at the Ramm-Ziegler Funeral Home. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Friday, until the time of service Saturday. There will be a Bible wake at the funeral home Friday evening at 7:30.

Cynthia Ann Samse, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Samse, 228 S. Milwaukee St., Plymouth, died at Plymouth Hospital early Friday afternoon, several hours after her birth.

Surviving, in addition to the parents, is a brother, Jeffrey.

The maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Paul Felten, DePere. The paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Albert Hochrein, R. 1, Sheboygan.

Committal rites will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Wittkopp Funeral Home in Plymouth with the Rev. G. A. Karpinsky, associate pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Plymouth Union Cemetery.

Mrs. Gertrude W. Scholten, 83, of 16 Fond du Lac, Sheboygan Falls, passed away at St. Nicholas Hospital Monday afternoon following a brief illness.

Mrs. Scholten was born in the town of Sheboygan Jan. 8, 1873, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Albert Rensink, and was married to Albert Scholten on Feb. 22, 1896, by the late Rev. Mr. Karsten in the town of Lima.

The couple operated a farm near Hingham, and in 1942, after the death of her husband on Nov. 19, 1939, Mrs. Scholten moved to Sheboygan Falls where she had resided since.

She was a member of the First Reformed Church of Sheboygan Falls and of the Dorcas Society of the church. For a number of years she taught Sunday School classes.

Mrs. Scholten leaves one daughter, Mrs. Stephen (Lilah) Wildeman, of Sheboygan Falls; three sons, Jesse H. Scholten, of the town of Holland and J. Elmer and Harley B. Scholten, of Sheboygan Falls; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. One brother and three sisters preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Reformed Church in Sheboygan Falls, the Rev. Jacob Juist, pastor, officiating, and burial will be in the Hingham Cemetery.

Mrs. Gertrude Smies, 81, of R. 1, Oostburg, widow of Peter, died Saturday at her farm home in the Town of Holland. She had been ill three days.

Mrs. Smies, a licensed baker, was known throughout the area for the special order wedding cakes and homemade bread she produced for many years at her home. She had been engaged in her baking up to a week ago.

The former Gertrude Claerbout, she was born in the Town of Holland, Nov. 15, 1884, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Claerbout.

She was married to Mr. Smies, a commercial fisherman off Oostburg for many years, on Feb. 6, 1906. Her husband died in 1959. The couple had celebrated its golden wedding in 1956.

Mrs. Smies was a charter member of Bethel Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Oostburg, and its Rebecca Society.

Surviving are a son, James, on the Town of Holland homestead farm; a daughter, Mrs. Ernest Onnink (Cornelius), Oostburg; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Bethel Church, Oostburg, with the Rev. Donald Stanton, pastor, officiating. Family services will be at 1:45 in Fellowship Room of the church. Burial will be in Oostburg Cemetery.

Mrs. Josephine Simonic, 81, of 810 Alabama Ave., died Monday afternoon at St. Nicholas Hospital after a short illness.

A native of Jugoslavia, she was born Feb. 28, 1878, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Anton Bratina. She was educated in Jugoslavia and was united in marriage to Joseph Simonic in 1902. The couple came to the United States in 1920 and made their home in Utica, N.Y. Her husband died in 1933. For the past two years Mrs. Simonic has made her {home with daughter} Louis (Mary) Borsecnik, in Sheboygan.

While in Sheboygan, Mrs. Simonic was a member of Ss. Cyril and Methodius Parish.

Two sons and five daughters also preceded her in death.

Surviving, besides Mrs. Borsecnik, are two other daughters, Mrs. Tony (Frances) Yerina of Little Falls, N.Y., and Mrs. Robert (Vida) Birge of Utica, N.Y.; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and one brother, Andrew Bratina of Mantua, Ohio.

The requiem Mass will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Church with the Rev. B. J. Wilimek, pastor, as celebrant. Mass will follow brief family rites at 8:30 a.m. at Gerend's Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Greendale Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday. Members of the parish will recite the rosary there at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Frank Stamzer, 75, of 739 N. 11th St., died Monday noon at his home.

A native of Yugoslavia, he was born April 26, 1884, and came to Sheboygan, Jan. 10, 1907.

A bartender all his life, he operated a tavern from 1921-1923 at 518 N. Water St., then moved to Manitowoc County where he operated Clover Hall until 1929. From 1929 until 1934 he lived in Milwaukee, then returned to Sheboygan. For the past 13 years, he had been employed at Stokey's Bar.

He was a member of the Manitowoc Eagles Lodge.

Surviving is a sister, Mrs. John Kotnick, Sheboygan. A brother and a sister preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Ballhorn Funeral Chapels. Cremation will follow.

Friends may call at the chapels after Wednesday noon.

Frieda Saar, 80, formerly of 614 N. 13th St., who died Wednesday in Chicago, will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Ballhorn Funeral Chapels.

The Rev. Ruben Grosshuesch, pastor of the Ebenezer United Church of Christ, will officiate and burial will be in the family lot in Wildwood Cemetery.

Born Jan. 10, 1886, in Germany, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Thannhold. As a child, she came to the United States with her parents.

She had resided in Sheboygan for more than 60 years, and for the past four years lived at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Johanning, in Chicago. She had been a ward supervisor at the Sheboygan County Hospital for 19 years before moving to Chicago.

Mrs. Saar was a former member of the Ebenezer United Church of Christ.

Besides her daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Frances) Johanning of Chicago, she is survivied by daughter, Mrs. Bertha Kath, of South Bend, Ind.; a sister, Mrs. Elsie Sturm, of Merrill, Wis., a brother, Adolph Thannhold, of Crown Point, Ind., two grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

John J. Stoltenberg, 60, a former mayor and prominent businessman in Elkhart Lake, died at his home at 154 Rhine St., Monday afternoon following a long illness.

Mr. Stoltenberg was mayor of the village from 1957 to 1959. He owned and operated the Stoltenberg Machine Co. at Elkhart.

He was born July 24, 1908 in Milwaukee, a son of the late Hans and Helen Spencer Stoltenberg. He attended schools in Wauwatosa, and graduated from the high school there in 1928. After attending the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee and Madison, he received his bachelor of science degree from Phoenix University in Barrie, Italy.

On July 1, 1933, he married Ruth Ann Otto in West Bend. The couple lived in Milwaukee, where Mr. Stoltenberg was employed as curator at the Historical Museum for five years, was employed at the Memco Corp., and was traffic manager at Ward Allen.

The couple moved to Elkhart Lake in 1945, when he started operating the Stoltenberg Machine Service.

He had been a member of Palmer Lodge No. 305 F&AM in Milwaukee; and was a member of the Federation of American Scientists; the Wisconsin Academy of Scientist Arts and Letters; the American Civil Liberties Union; and was a charter member of the Milwaukee Historical Society.

Survivors are his wife; a son, John Paul, Cleveland, Ohio; a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Marcia) Schamberger, Elkhart Lake; five grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Nicholas Kuvalis, Kenwood, Calif.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Wittkopp Funeral Home, Plymouth, with the Rev. Robert Johnston, pastor of the Community United Church of Christ, Elkhart Lake, officiating. Burial will be in the Elkhart Lake Cemetery.

Plymouth - (Special) - Herman Sasse, 74, died in St. Nicholas hospital, Sheboygan, Sunday afternoon at 5:45 o'clock. He was born Aug. 26, 1864 in Hohenfelde province, Brandenburg, Germany. He married Maria Schultz there and the couple came to this country in 1892.

He lived in and around Plymouth and was employed as a mason. His wife died in 1921. Four children also preceded him in death. He lived with a daughter, Mrs. Herman Thomas, town of Sheboygan Falls, for two years after his wife's death and since then had lived in Sheboygan.

Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Thomas, two sons, Herman Jr., town of Sheboygan and Walter, 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. William Rieck, Plymouth.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Wittkopp Funeral home, the Rev. Martin Schmidt, pastor, St. John's Evangelical Lutheran church, officiating, with interment in Woodlawn cemetery. Friends can view the body at the funeral home from Tuesday afternoon.

Frank Suharpetz, 72, of 1201 S. 8th St., died unexpectedly at his home Saturday evening.

He was born Dec. 20, 1900, in Ironwood, Mich., son of the late John and Mary Suharpetz, and he came to Sheboygan with his family as a child.

On July 6, 1926, he married Frances Bencic of Sheboygan. She died in 1970.

For 30 years he was employed by Armour Leather Co., retiring in 1963.

He was a member of Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church.

Surviving are a son, Robert, Sheboygan, and two sisters Mrs. Molly Fritz of Milwaukee, and Mrs. Katherine Buckovetz of Cadilla, Mich.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

William Strassburg, Sr., 84, passed away at his home in Howards Grove at 5 a.m. Sunday following a lingering illness.

He was born in the town of Herman on Oct. 11, 1866, the son of Christoph and Wilhelmina Strassburg. On June 3, 1894, he was married to Anna Schramm. The couple resided on a farm in the town of Herman until their retirement 21 years ago. Since then they lived in Howards Grove.

Mr. Strassburg was a lifelong faithful member of Trinity Lutheran church in the town of Herman. He was active in church affairs for many years and served as a director of the Town of Herman Mutual Fire Insurance company for 15 years.

The survivors include his wife; three children, William, Jr., of the town of Herman, Arno of North Chicago, Ill., and Mrs. William (Anna) Hehling of Sheboygan; three grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Augusta Burhop and a brother, Albert, both of Howards Grove. He was preceded in death by two children who died in infancy.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran church in the town of Herman with the Rev. John Potratz officiating. Burial will be made in the church cemetery. Mrs. Caroline F. Siemers, 86, a former Town of Meeme resident, died early today at Avon Manor Nursing Home, Milwaukee. She had been at the nursing home for the past year and a half.

The former Caroline Prange, she was born Oct. 11, 1879 in the Town of Sheboygan Falls, a daughter of the late William and Augusta Strassburg Prange. She attended district school there.

On June 27, 1907, she married Edward Siemers of the Town of Meeme at Saron Reformed Church, Town of Sheboygan Falls. The couple located on a farm in the Town of Meeme. He died in 1945.

She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ, Town of Herman.

Surviving are three sons, Walter, on the home farm, Edward of Madison, and William of Oak Lawn, Ill.; five daughters, Mrs. Maurice (Alice) Manning, Mrs. Martin (Gertrude) Thomas, Mrs. Albert (Louise) Kazmerski, and Miss Dorothy Siemers, all of Milwaukee, and Mrs. Leroy (Caroline) Huddleston, Whiteriver, Ariz.; 24 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a brother, William, Sheboygan; and two sisters, Mrs. Alfred Treick, Kohler, and Mrs. Arthur Rauschert, Sheboygan Falls.

Two daughters preceded her in death.

George T. Schumacher, 62, of 2923 Wedemeyer St., died early today at St. Nicholas Hospital. He had been hospitalized about one week.

Born Jan. 24, 1903, in Dorchester, Wis., he was a son of the late William and Elizabeth Schumacher, attended parochial school there, and came to Sheboygan in 1925.

For the past 18 years he had been employed as an auto repairman at Hoekstra-Caldwell Inc.

On Feb. 9, 1951, he married Mrs. Ruth Stanish.

She survives, along with one stepson, Jerome Stanish of Sheboygan; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Stanley (Marilyn) Suscha of Sheboygan; two brothers, Peter and Nicholas Schumacher of Dorchester; four sisters, Sister Celine of La Crosse, Mrs. Wilbur Becker of Colby, Mrs. Louis Ludwig of Medford, Mrs. Archie Leichtman of Plymouth, and seven grandchildren. Two sisters and a brother also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Ramm Funeral Home. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. James J. Shlikas, pastor of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery.

Mrs. Sam (Ida) Solkovitz, 76, of 936 Superior Ave., died at 3 p.m. Wednesday at her home. She had been in failing health for the past year.

Born July 20, 1885, in Europe, a daughter of late Abraham and Fanny Paykel, she came to Sheboygan with her parents in 1900. On Nov. 12, 1905, she was married to Sam Solkovitz of Manitowoc. The couple settled in Sheboygan after their marriage.

Her husband, a retired Sheboygan businessman, died in 1957.

Survivors are three daughters, Miss Evelyn Solkovitz at home, Mrs. Sam (Esther) Ruttenberg, Mrs. Si (Hazel) Wasserman, both of Chicago; two sons, Sidney and Alvin of Green Bay; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Sam Krasnick of Sheboygan.

Two brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Solkovitz was a member of Ahavas Sholem Congregation, the Sisterhood of the congregation, a life member of Beth El Sisterhood, a charter and life member of the Hadassah Society, and also a life member of the Milwaukee Home for Aged Jews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Ballhorn Funeral Chapels. Rabbi Nathan Barack of Beth El Congregation will officiate and burial will be in Sheboygan Hebrew Cemetery.

Mrs. Clarence (Mathilda) Sherlock, 69, of 415 Adams St., Sheboygan Falls, died Monday night at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.

She was born Sept. 1, 1897, in Coleman, Wis., and married Clarence Sherlock on Oct. 26, 1946, in Manitowoc. She was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church, Sheboygan.

Surviving are two sons, Harold and Donald Fanslau, both of Sheboygan; three daughters, Mrs. Janet Juchniewich and Mrs. Rose Raeck, both of Two Rivers and Mrs. Harley (Betty) Van Lannen of Sheboygan; 15 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Albert Melanson and Mrs. Lester Boutin, both of Two Rivers; and one brother, Wilbert Jacques of Racine.

She was preceded in death by her first husband and one son.

Mary Ellen Scribner, 18-month-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Scribner of 1641 Calumet Drive, died Thursday evening at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital.

Born in this city on Aug. 17, 1953, she is survived by her parents; two brothers and three sisters, Elmer, Gerry Lee, Carol Mae, Judy Ann and Karen Marie; the paternal grandmother, Mrs. Fred Shufflebotham of this city; the maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Lilla of Sheboygan Falls; and the great grandfather, Carl Bogenschneider of Sheboygan Falls.

Otto F. (Hefty) Schneider, 67, of 602 S. 14th St., died Sunday morning at his home after being stricken with an apparent heart attack.

A native of Sheboygan, he was born, June 16, 1898, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Christ Schneider. He attended local area schools and was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church.

He was employed by the Armour Leather Co. for 30 years, retiring in 1962.

He was a World War II veteran, having served in the Army. He was a member of the Prescott-Bayens Post 83, American Legion, Armour Leather Local 325, and the Badger State Recreation Club.

Only immediate survivor is a sister, Mrs. Alvina Schultz of Pomona, Calif. Two sisters preceded him in death.

Plymouth - (Special) - Mrs. Ida Schafer,{sic} 76, town Plymouth, died this morning at 7 o'clock. She was born Jan. 22. 1866, in Sheboygan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christian Wonderlich.

On Dec. 4, 1884, she married William Schaefer, who died in 1937. Survivors are two sons, Henry G., Plymouth, and Edwin C., Chetek, Wis., one daughter, Mrs. Bruno Stange, town Plymouth, nine grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Wittkopp Funeral home with burial in Union cemetery. The body can be viewed at the funeral home from Saturday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock on.

Funeral services for Charles W. Schultz, 28, of the Town of Mitchell, who died Thursday at St. Mary's Hospital, Milwaukee, will be held Sunday.

Mr. Schultz was born Oct. 25, 1939 in Plymouth, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Byron Schultz. He attended the Roseveldt Grade School in the Town of Lyndon and Plymouth High School.

On Jan. 6, 1962 he married the former Marion Kasper. The coupled live in Plymouth, then in the Town of Lyndon, and for the past two years in the Town of Mitchell.

He was employed by the Holzschuh Excavating and Trucking Co. and more recently at Stokely Van Camp Canning Co. at Plymouth.

He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Cascade.

Survivors include two sons, Brian and Bradley, and one daughter, Brenda, all at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Byron Schultz of the Town of Mitchell; three brothers, Kenneth of the Town of Lyndon, Byron Jr. and Leon, at home; one sister, Shirley, also at home; the paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Schultz Sr. of the Town of Lyndon and the maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Ott of the Town of Plymouth.

Carl H. Schneider, 67, of 2223 S. 10th St., died Thursday at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital following a six-month's illness.

A native of Kohler, he was born April 14, 1900, a son of the late Casper and Mary Schneider. He attended public school in Kohler.

On June 4, 1921, he married Miss Martha Luedtke of Sheboygan.

Mr. Schneider was owner of the Salk Trail Dairy and for 25 years co-owner of the Salk Trail Minkery just south of Sheboygan. He retired in 1962.

He was a member of the Our Savior's Lutheran Church and the Mink Breeders Association.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Robert A. (June) Stein, and Mrs. Roger (Carol) Huibregtse, both of Sheboygan; four grandchildren; a great granddaughter; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Kohlhagen and Mrs. Henrietta Selle, both of Sheboygan Falls; a brother, Otto, of Sheboygan.

An infant son, Carl J. Schneider, preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Ballhorn Funeral Chapels. The Rev. William Redeker, pastor of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established in Mr. Schneider's name for Our Savior's Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Louis Schroeder, 83, a former Howards Grove resident, died of a lingering illness Friday evening at the Beechwood Rest Home, Beechwood.

The former Emma Groene, she was born in the Town of Sheboygan Falls, Jan. 7, 1882, a daughter of the late Henry and Charlotte Groene.

Following her marriage to Mr. Schroeder, Nov. 7, 1903, at Saron Reformed Church in the Town of Falls, the couple lived in the Town of Herman.

She was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Howards Grove, and belonged to its Ladies Aid Society.

Surviving are her husband; three sons, Arno, Sheboygan Falls, Harry, Town of Falls, and Willard, Albuquerque, N.M.; a daughter, Mrs. Arno (Adelia) Reinke, Town of Herman; six grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Henry and Herman Groene, Town of Falls, and three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Schmidt, Town of Falls, Mrs. Ida Meyer, Town of Rhine, and Mrs. Louisa Damrow, Sheboygan.

One child preceded her in death.

Services will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, in Trinity Church, Howards Grove, with the Rev. John F. Potratz, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at the Walter H. Ahrens Funeral Home, Howards Grove, from 3 p.m. Monday until 11 a.m. Tuesday, and after noon at the church.

The family has announced establishment of a memorial fund for Trinity Church.

William Schmidt, aged 53, of 1822 Superior avenue, passed away at the St. Nicholas hospital at 12 p.m. on Thursday after an illness of about three months.

He was born in Germany on December 3, 1895, and came to this country in January 1923, having made his home in Sheboygan since that time. His marriage to Hermine Pottharst took place in this city on March 5, 1927. Mr. Schmidt was an employee of the Chicago North Western Railway for the past ten years.

Survivors are his wife, two brothers, Fred of Sheboygan and Henry of Germany.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Nickel's Funeral home with the Rev. August Grollmus of St. John's Evangelical Reformed church officiating. Burial will take place in the Wildwood cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 7:30 p.m. Saturday until the time of services.

Howards Grove - Donald Sink, 4-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Sink of the town of Rhine, died Saturday at 8:30 a.m. after a few days' illness.

He was born March 12, 1939, in Town Rhine, and survivors are his parents, five brothers and eight sisters.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Walter H. Ahrens Funeral home here, the Rev. Walter Kitzerow of the Trinity Lutheran church near Howards Grove, officiating. Burial will be made in Town Mosel cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home beginning Monday at 10 a.m.

Funeral services for Harvey C. Schmitz, 56, of 625 Western Ave., Random Lake, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Jungers Funeral Home, Dacada.

The Rev. E. R. Rodel, pastor of the United Church of Christ, Random Lake, will officiate, with burial in Union Cemetery there.

Friends may call at the funeral home in Dacada after 3 p.m. today and until the time of services Thursday.

Mr. Schmitz, retired operator of the Sportsmen's Bar in Random Lake, died of an apparent heart attack at home early Tuesday. Ailing for three years, he had retired from the tavern business several months ago.

A native of Milwaukee, he was born July 9, 1908, a son of the late Frank and Anna Schmitz.

He married Marie Wegmann in Milwaukee, June 26, 1937, and came to Random Lake several years ago.

He was a member of the Lions Club there.

Surviving are his wife; three sons, Robert, James and Thomas, all at home, and a brother, Arlo, Oconomowoc.

Mrs. Anna Neuhaus Stienecker, 86, died early Tuesday morning at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Oscar Neuhaus, in the town of Rhine near Ada.

Born in the town of Herman on February 14, 1863, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Spindler, she was confirmed and baptized in the Bethel Reformed church there. She married William Neuhaus in Newton on Feb. 14, 1884, on a farm now owned by her son, Oscar. Her husband died in July, 1917.

She later married the Rev. H. W. Stienecker in St. Paul and the couple made their home in Canada until his retirement. They lived in the town of Rhine until his death in December of 1929.

Surviving are an only son. Two daughters and another son preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Bethel Evangelical and Reformed church with the Rev. C.L. Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at the Meiselwitz Funeral home from 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon until 10 o'clock Friday morning, after which time the body will be at the church until the time of services.

Karl J. Stahl, 78, of 551 Pine St., Sheboygan Falls, died early Sunday at St. Nicholas Hospital following a lengthy illness.

He was born April 18, 1892, in Sheboygan, a son of the late August and Albina Stahl, and attended public grade school.

During World War I he served in the U.S. Army.

On Nov. 20, 1919, he married Miss Delia Lindner of Sheboygan Falls. She preceded him in death in 1931.

Mr. Stahl was employed at Kohler Co. for over 27 years prior to his retirement.

He was a member of the Kohler Quarter Century Club, and a former member of Prescott-Bayens Post 83 of the American Legion.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Harvey (Rachel) Parsche of Sheboygan Falls, and Mrs. Gilbert (Carol) Guenther of Sheboygan Falls, with whom he made his home; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Two sisters and two brothers preceded him in death.

Private family rites were held today at the Ballhorn Funeral Chapels.

A memorial fund has been established in his name for the Easter Seal Society.

Milton Schuler, 63, of Rt. 2, Elkhart Lake, died at 8:55 p.m. Tuesday at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital. He had been in ill health the past month.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Town of Russell, the Rev. Milton Kading officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Schuler was born Feb. 11, 1900, in the Town of Ryan, son of the late Henry and Mary Stallman Schuler. He was educated at Dewey School in the district, and was a carpenter by trade. He married the former Selma Henschel April 30, 1927, in the Town of Russell. The couple lived 13 years in the Town of Ryan and the past 23 years in the Town of Russell. He was a member of St. Paul Church, Hermitage Sportsmen's Club, Russell, and Redmen Lodge, St. Anna.

Surviving are his wife; a son, Marvin Schuler of Kiel; a daughter, Mrs. Edward Heckman of Newton; two brothers, Walter Schuler of Plymouth and Fred Schuler of Manitowoc; two sisters, Mrs. Meta Mertens of Kiel and Mrs. Joseph Fahres of Sheboygan; and four grandchildren.

Friends may call until 11 a.m. Friday at Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel, and from noon until the hour of service Friday at the church. A church memoiral has been established in his memory.

Carl Sommer, an inmate of the county asylum, died Tuesday at the age of twenty-years, being a victum of tuberculosis. His remains have been shipped to his former home in Mosel, Sheboygan county.

Funeral services for Henry Semph, 68, Howards Grove, father of Mrs. Alma Meyer and Mrs. Mamie Starck of the town of Meeme, took place yesterday from the Trinity church in Herman, Sheboygan county. He died of pneumonia, after a two weeks illness.

Survivors are his wife, who was Ida Schmidt, seven grown children and two sisters.

Albert L. Sommers, 52, founder of the Sheboygan Association of Commerce and well known here, died at his home there Sunday. He was taken with a stroke while listening to a radio broadcast with his fiancee, Miss Martha Miller.

Mr. Sommers was an organizer and director of numerous travel bureaus and was the creator of "Wisconsin Day." He also founded the Rotary club in Sheboygan. A sister and two brothers survive.

Funeral services will be held at Sheboygan tomorrow afternoon.

Emil Staabs, 47, half-brother of Mrs. Walter Krueger of School Hill, died yesterday at Sheboygan. He was employed for 16 years at a Sheboygan furniture factory. Survivors are the widow, five children, two sisters, two half-sisters and a half-brother.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon from the Trinity Lutheran church in Sheboygan.

Edward J. Schaefer, 75, a native of Dodge County and a resident of the Town of Mitchell, Sheboygan County, since 1947, died at Plymouth Hospital early today after an illness of one week. Mr. Schaefer was born in the Town of Herman, Dodge County, Feb. 224, 1882, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Philip Schaefer. He was married to Elizabeth Folz Nov. 26, 1907, at St. Lawrence Church, St. Lawrence, and the couple lived at St. Lawrence, in the Town of Rhine, and in the Town of Greenbush before moving to the Town of Mitchell. Mr. Schaefer was a member of St. Michael�s Catholic Church at Parnell. He leaves three sons, Raymond, of Random Lake, Elmer, of Elkhart Lake, and Sylvester, of Plymouth; one daughter, Mrs. Gaylord (Anna) O�Malley, Plymouth; nine grandchildren; two brothers, Peter, of Stratford, Wis., and Matthew, of Milwaukee; and three sisters, Mrs. Ida Schmidt, Mrs. Ella Pauli, and Mrs. Frances Doll, all of Hartford. Mr. Schaefer�s wife died Feb. 28, 1920, one son died in infancy, and two brothers and three sisters also preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Wittkopp Funeral Home in Plymouth and at 10 a.m. at St. Mary�s Catholic Church, Cascade. The Rev. Louis Schmidt will officiate, and burial will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery, St. Lawrence. Friends may call at the Wittkopp Funeral Home from 2 p.m. Friday until the time of services. A parish vigil will be held at the funeral home at 8 p.m. Friday.

Mrs. Cora M. Stannard, 74, died Monday morning at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, where she had been a patient since last year.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Ballhorn Funeral Chapels, Sheboygan. The Rev. T. Parry Jones, pastor emeritus of the St. Luke United Methodist Church, Sheboygan, and the Rev. D.G. Stannard, a grandson, of Sturgeon Bay United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Greenbush Cemetery, Sheboygan County.

Survivors include two sons, the Rev. Donald T. Stannard and Dr. G.H. Stannard of Manitowoc; a daughter, Mrs. Roy (Carol) Jacobsen of Shawano; two brothers, Raymond Schmidt of Sheboygan, and Alfred Schmidt of Milwaukee; two sisters, Mrs. Arthur Schultz, and Mrs. John TerMaat of Sheboygan; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Friends may call at the funeral chapels after 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Memorials may be sent to the Sheboygan Retirement Home, 635 Ontario Ave., Sheboygan.

Private funeral services for James Lee Stoeckigt, 7 1/2 months old son of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Stoeckigt of Millersville, who died Thursday at Southern Colony, Union Grove, where he had been a patient since September, were at 2 p.m. Saturday at Stoletenberg Funeral Chapel, Cleveland.

The Rev. Carl Beckmann, professor at Mission House College and pastor of St. Paul Evangelical and Reformed Church, Mosel, conducted the service. Burial was in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Sheboygan county.

Buried This Afternoon. The funeral of Magnus William Schuehardt, who died Saturday, was held at two o'clock this afternoon from the M.E. Church. Rev. F.A. Nimits officiated at the ceremony. Burial was at Wildwood cemetery.

Ralph J. Schreiner, 65, of 3144 Wilgus Rd., died at his home Monday afternoon by hanging. His death was ruled a suicide by Dr. Reed M. Simpson, county coroner. His body was found hanging in a barn at the rear of the home at 4 p.m. by a daughter-in-law, Darlene Preuss, who called at the home for a visit. Mrs. Schreiner last saw her husband at 2 p.m and believed him to be working in the garage. Mr. Schreiner was born May 3, 1900, at Saukville, a son of Michael and the late Mrs. Michael Schreiner. He was married to Stell Herwig June 28, 1958, at Fond du Lac. Survivors are his wife; his father, at Saukville; one son, Donald of Saukville; one daughter, Mrs. Delores Wallner, of Saukville; 12 grandchildren; one brother, Harold, of Saukville; two sisters, Mrs. Olive Weiss and Mrs. Agnes Gall, both of Grafton. Private funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at Nickel�s Funeral Home. The Rev. Clarence Buist, pastor of Beacon Light Chapel, will officiate and burial will be in Greendale Cemetery. There will be no visitation period at the funeral home.

Kelly Lynn Sorenson, 22, of 732 N. 37 St., died at her home Sunday morning. She had been in ill health since birth. She was born July 17, 1963, in Sheboygan, a daughter of Richard and Anne Kohli Sorenson. She attended James Madison School and special Bible classes at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Miss Sorenson was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church. Surviving are her parents; two sisters, Bobbi Jean and Jodi; her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kohli; and her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Sorenson Sr., all of Sheboygan. A private funeral mass was celebrated today at Holy Name Church, with the Rev. James Hess, co-pastor, celebrant. Entombment was at Garden of Peace Mausoleum. A memorial fund has been established in Miss Sorenson�s name. Arrangements were handled by Ballhorn Funeral Chapels.

The death of Ray Shaw age 62 years occurred at the St. Nicholas Hospital this morning at 5 o'clock. Mr. Shaw was born in Sheboygan Falls March 7, 1847. He is survived by six children three boys and three girls. The funeral will be held from the home of his daughter Mrs. Fred Kneevers 1025 Ontario Ave., Monday at 2 o'clock. Rev. E. E. Dresser of the Baptist church will officiate and interment will take place in the Sheboygan Falls cemetery.

Sister Perfecta, or Sister Superior, as she is better known, died in St. Nicholas Hospital at 4:30 o'clock this morning. Sister Superior took the black veil at Galena IL, where she has a number of relatives. Her former name was Scharpf. No arrangements for the funeral have been made, and no facts concerning the decedent can be learned as yet. Sister Superior of Milwaukee and Anton Scharpf of Galena, her brother, will arrive in the city tonight to make arrangements. It will then be decided whether the remains will be taken to Galena, or interred here. Sister Perfecta was a noble woman who early in lie entered upon her Christian work. She was beloved by the pupils and her death is a loss to the school where she was in charge for a long time.

The funeral services over the remains of Sister Perfecta, mother superior of the Sisters of Notre Dame here, was held at 9 o'clock this morning from the home of the sisters on Superior avenue, and at 10:30 from Holy Name church. Interment took place in the North Side Catholic cemetery. Requiem mass was sung and Rev. Fr. Abbelen, spiritual director of Notre Dame, the motherhouse of the sister, preached the sermon and delivered a eulogy on the life of Sister Perfecta. He gave a history of her life from the time she entered Notre Dame at the age of 14 years up to the time of her demise. 14 small girls dressed in white and carrying lilies and chrysanthemums and 6 young ladies led the funeral procession to church. The pallbearers were Clemen Reiss, Philip Sauere, Leo McKenna, Edmund Liebl, Joseph Sonntag, and Anton Chllosta. The mother superior of Notre Dame convent is on her way home from Europe and will arrive in a few days to make arrangements to fill the vacancy caused by the demise of Sister Perfecta.

The funeral of Miss Clara Steffes, aged 15 years, who is well known here, was held this morning from her late home in St. Cloud. Burial was in the Catholic cemetery. Miss Elizabeth Steffes, her sister, attended the obsequies. The decedent was a cousin of John Steffes.

Herman Stieber, 73 years old, an old resident of Sheboygan died suddenly of heart failure at 12:30 o'clock Sunday morning, at his home on North Water street. He had worked all day until 6 o'clock and ate a hearty supper when he came home. He read until 8 o'clock, when he retired, feeling well. He was born in Germany, June 11, 1836 and came to this coutnry at an early age, settling in Sheboygan. He leaves several children: Mrs. Herman Schultz, of this city, Mrs. Arthur Foeste, of the town of Sheboygan, Mrs. Levi Kurtz and Mrs. Frank Koch of this city, and Mrs. William Pishon, of West Allis WI. The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from his late home. Rev. Schreiber of the German Methodist Episcopal church officiating. Burial will be in Wildwood cemetery.

Mrs. Margaret Stolz passed away at 10:30 o'clock Monday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Theodore Conrardy, 1124 Georgia avenue after suffering a long time from a cancerous trouble, which became particularly aggravated about a week ago. Mrs. Stolz was born in Orscholz, Germany, on April 25, 1844. She was united in marriage to Herman Stolz, who died in Germany in 1891. In the next year she came to this country and city to make her home with her daughter. Mrs. Stolzs' maiden name was Margaret May. She leaves a son, Peter of this city and three daughters, Mrs. Theodore Conrardy, of this city, Miss Anna Stolz, of this city, and Mrs. Valentine Cerlinzer of Mt. Carbon CO. The funeral will be held Thursday morning from St. Peter Claver church, Rev. Fr. Van Treeck officiating. Burial will be in the South Side Catholic cemetery. Relatives from out of the city are expected to attend the obsequies.

Mrs. Carl Schuri, 31 years old, formerly of this city, died at her home in Oshkosh, Friday, leaving a husband and an infant daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Schuri formerly lived in this city, the former being employed as head pharmacist at the F.W. Thieman drug store. Four years ago they moved to Oshkosh. The decedent was prominent in musical and club circles here and likewise in Oshkosh. Mr. Schuri is a brother of Henry Schuri of this city.

Mrs. Robert Schikelenski, a sister-in-law of Mrs. John Silbernagel of this city, died at her home in Manitowoc Sunday morning. The remains will be shipped to this city tomorrow, and the funeral will be held from the Silbernagel home on N. 7th st. Burial will be in Wildwood cemetery. Mrs. Schikelenski's former home was in the town of Rhine, near Franklin.
