Beloved husband of the late Mary Hajnik (May 26, 2005) and the late Mary (Mae) Garvey (August 20, 1973). Loving father of Paul (Pat) Hurley, Peter (Ann) Hurley, Maureen (John) Caporale, Suzanne Hurley and Mike Wingrove and Brian (Charlotte) Hurley. Dear step-father of Craig and Stephen Scriver. Dear grandfather of Jennifer (Jayson) Innes, Richard Hurley, Erin, Meghan and Adam Hurley; David, Catherine and Danielle Caporale; Mary Hurley; and Misha, Josh, Keenan, Clark, Stefanie, Adrienne and Andrew Scriver. Dear brother of Bertille and Frances Hurley. Pre-deceased by his parents William Hurley and Agnes Galvin and brother Basil Hurley. Visitation at DUFFUS FUNERAL HOME, 431 George Street South from 2-4 and 7-9pm Wednesday. (Royal Canadian Legion Branch 52 Memorial Service 1:45pm. Wednesday. Parish Prayers 3pm Wednesday). Funeral Mass in St. John the Baptist Church on Thursday June 16, 2005 at 11am. Reverend John Albao officiating. Interment St. Peter's Cemetery. Donations to PRHC, Palliative Care would be appreciated by the family.

Loving mother of Craig Scriver of Toronto, and Stephen Scriver of Peterborough; mother figure to Monica, Susan, Wendy, and Shelley. Dear step-mother of Paul (Pat) Hurley , Peter (Ann) Hurley, Maureen (John) Caporale, Suzanne Hurley and Mike Wingrove, and Brian (Charlotte) Hurley. Dear grandmother of Misha, Josh, Keenan, Clark, Stefanie, Adrienne and Andrew Scriver; Jennifer (Jayson) Innes, Richard Hurley, Erin, Meghan and Adam Hurley; David, Catherine and Danielle Caporale and Mary Hurley. Dear sister of Anna Rowan of Florida, and Evelyn and husband Wayne Weaver of Peterborough. Pre-deceased by her parents John Hajnik and Maria Katrinak, brother John and sister Helen Janecek.
Visitation was held at DUFFUS FUNERAL HOME on Sunday May 29th, 2005. Funeral Mass was held in St. John the Baptist Church on Monday May 30th, 2005 at 11 a.m. Reverend John Albao officiated. Interment St. Peter's Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or PRHC, Palliative Care would be appreciated by the family.
