Wells Edna Mae Wells, 74, Miller's Merry Manor East, died at 6:30 p.m. Thurday at Wabash County Hospital. She had lived in Wabash for 23 years, coming from Van Lear, Ky. She was a member of Eastwood Church of Christ. She was born NOv. 17, 1912, in Paintsville, Ky., to Stewart and Mary (Bolden) Webb. She married Nevard Wells on Nov. 30, 1930, in Paintsville, Ky. He died on April 17, 1976. Surviving are one son, John Paul Wells, Wabash; two daughters, Mrs. Phillip (Donna) Powers, Meally, Ky., and Mrs. Everett (Barbara) Branham, North Manchester; two sisters, Mary Blair and Myrtle Blair, both of Paintsville, Ky.; two brothers, Elmer Webb, Paintsville, Ky., and Glen Webb, Dayton, Ohio; seven grand-children and five great-grandchildren. Three brothers are deceased. Services for Edna Mae Wells, 74, Miller's Merry Manor East, were Monday morning at the Grandstaff-Hentgen-Miner Funeral Home. Evangelist Howard Waters officiated. Mrs. Howard Waters was organist. Burial was in Laketon Cemetery. Pallbearers were James Taylor Jr., James Bennett, Larry Hall, Jeff Waters,Tim Tyner and Byron Smithers. Webb Simon Peter Webb, 75, 1603 Grand St. died at 8:30 a.m. Thursday at Wabash County Hospital. He was born on Jan 24, 1913, in Van Lear, Ky., to Alex and Amanda Webb. He married Helen Moore on Jan 21, 1961, in Wabash. She survives. A Wabash resident for 28 years, Mr. Webb was a retired coal miner and had worked at DataVue. He was a member of the New Life Baptist Church. Also surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Phyllis Hardee, Wabash; four sons, Tom Webb and Earl Webb, both of Hendersonville, Tenn.; Bobby Ray Webb and Jerry B. Webb, both at home; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Miller, Bucyrus, Ohio, and Mrs. Nora Buthcer, Van Lear, Ky.; two brothers, Arbie Webb, Van Lear, Ky., and John Webb, Florida; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. One brother is deceased. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Eddingfield-Stout Mortuary. The Rev. Ralph Butler will officiate. Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the mortuary. Services for Simon Peter Webb, 75, 1603 Grand St., were Saturday morning at Eddingfield-Stout Mortuary. The Rev. Ralph Butler officiated. Nancy Waters was organist. Services were Sunday afternoon at the Van Lear Freewill Baptist Church, Van Lear, Ky. The Rev. Charles Ray Banks officiated. Jill Dyson was soloist. Pallbearers were Charles Butcher, Sheldon Butcher, Gary Butcher, Foley Butcher, Chester Butcher and Darrell Butcher.
