Return To Top KINGSPORT - Harmon Junior Edwards, 71, entered into rest Saturday (Nov. 17, 2001) at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. He was born June 25, 1930 in Blackwater, Va., to the late Alfred J. and Emmer Vaughn Edwards. Including his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Edwards, June 7, 2000; daughter, Vickie Lynn Edwards; one sister, Maggie Reed; half sister, Lizzy Pleasant; two brothers, Curtis and Marion Edwards. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Wayne Barr, Blountville, Connie and Randell Stacy, Kingsport; one sister, Grace Henard, Kingsport; grandchildren, Chad Jeffers, Amy Jeffers Farmer and Justin Stacy; two great-grandchildren, Faith Jeffers, Hope Farmer; several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Gate City Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. today in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. J.W. Depew and the Rev. Buddy Legg officiating. Music will be provided by Homeland Trio and Glory Echos. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, Va. The family will meet at 12:15 p.m. to go in procession to the cemetery.
