DAYTON, Ohio Fred Gillenwater, 83, died Thursday (June 24, 1999) at Grand View Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. Born in Ft. Blackmore, Va., he was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was retired from NCR in Dayton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernie and Rebecca Brickey Gillenwater; four brothers, Cecil, Sam, Glen and Robert Gillenwater.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara Gillenwater; two daughters, Sherri Richards and Renee Gillenwater; two sons, Freddie and David Gillenwater, all of Dayton, Ohio; five grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Cecil (Charlotte) Mann, Gate City, Va., Mrs. Mack (Jean) Lane, Weber City, Va., and Mrs. C.R. (Peggy) Wilson, Bristol, Tenn.; one brother, Sinkler Gillenwater, Miami, Fla.
Interment will be in Dayton, Ohio.
