            Bernice Aderholdt, Kingsport.

            KINGSPORT - Carrie Bernice Newton Aderholdt entered into eternity on 
            November 8, 2001 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. 
            She was born July 16, 1921 to Jessie Wilson Newton and William 
            Lester Newton in Gastonia, N.C. She was married to Charles Bernard 
            Aderholdt, who preceded her in death on April 27, 1965 in Kingsport. 

            Mrs. Aderholdt grew up in Hildebran, N.C., and lived there except 
            for the time she and her husband spent in Massachusetts during his 
            service with the Navy in 1944-45. They moved to Kingsport in 1958. 
            Mrs. Aderholdt was a long standing and active member of Holy Trinity 
            Lutheran Church, participated enthusiastically in the Sonrise Emmaus 
            Community, and was a member of the United Daughters of the 
            Confederacy and Women's Symphony Committee. 
               
            Her primary role in life was that of mother to her six daughters. 
            They are Carole Beverly Aderholdt, Greenbelt, Md., Cheryll 
            Bernadette Kunos, Akron, Ohio, Catherine Bernice Harvey, Kingsport, 
            Caren Beth Rowland, Roswell, Ga., Cecilie B. Aderholdt, Kingsport 
            and Cydnie Barbara Bedford, Kingsport. 
            In addition to her daughters, Mrs. Aderholdt is survived by 
            sons-in-law Andrew A. Kunos, Michael J. Harvey, George F. Rowland 
            Jr., and Jeffery P. Bedford; two granddaughters, Ellen Michael 
            Harvey and Elisabeth Cydnie Bedford; seven grandsons, Dr. Charles 
            Andrew Kunos, Daniel Eugene Kunos, Robert Jackson (Jake) Piercy, 
            Clayton Aderholdt Piercy, Joseph Bernard Harvey, Samuel Paul Bedford 
            and William David Bedford of Kingsport; a sister, Vivian Wilson, and 
            an aunt, Virginia Shepherd, both of Hildebran, N.C.; numerous 
            nieces, a nephew and many cherished friends. 
            Two brothers, Evan Newton and Howard Newton; and three sisters, 
            Bonnie Pope and Hazel Shell of Hickory, N.C., and Bobbie Lee Hensley 
            of Hildebran, N.C., preceded her in death. 
            Calling hours are from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Hamlett-Dobson 
            Funeral Home. 
            Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Holy Trinity Lutheran 
            Church with Pastor Gary Soop and the Rev. Caryl Griffin officiating. 

            Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park with grandchildren 
            serving as pallbearers.

            Thomas Glen Davis, 69, Kingsport. 

            KINGSPORT - Thomas Glen Davis, 69, went to be with the Lord Thursday 
            (Nov. 8, 2001) after an extended illness. 
            A lifelong resident of Kingsport, Mr. Davis retired from Eastman 
            Kodak in 1993. He was past master of the Kingsport Masonic Lodge 
            #688 and a member of York Rites and Scottish Rite. 
            He was an avid reader and enjoyed woodworking and history. 
            Surviving are his wife, Sandy Davis, Kingsport; a daughter, Susan 
            Walton, Chattanooga, Tenn.; three sons and daughters-in-law, Larry 
            K. and Jacque Davis, Spokane, Wash., Michael G. and Kim Davis, 
            Wichita, Kansas and Barry and Teri Walton, Kingsport; eight 
            grandchildren, Allyssa Davis, Shaylee Davis, Blake Davis, Justin 
            Davis, Lane Davis, Landon Davis, Kelli Walton, Corey Walton; two 
            sisters, Betty Berry and Ann Little, both of Kingsport; brothers, 
            Ronald K. Davis, Church Hill and Richard Davis, Abingdon, Va.; and 
            several nieces and nephews. 
            Calling hours are from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday at St. Luke's United 
            Methodist Church. Memorial services will be conducted at 3 p.m. 
            Saturday in the sanctuary with the Rev. Max A. Weaver officiating.

            KINGSPORT - Graveside services for Lutie E. Feagins, 88, who went to 
            be with the Lord Wednesday (Nov. 7, 2001), will be conducted at 2 
            p.m. today in Oak Hill Cemetery.

            East Center Street, Kingsport, Tenn. 37664.

            Ethel Findley, Rogersville.

            ROGERSVILLE - Ethel Sue Findley passed away at her home Thursday 
            (Nov. 8, 2001). 
            She was born on June 8, 1931 in Wise County, Va., but lived much of 
            her adult life in Dayton, Ohio, where she was employed by the U.S. 
            Post Office. 
            She was preceded in death by her father, Fred Fugate Sr., and 
            mother, Louise Fugate. 
            Surviving are her husband, John Findley; one daughter, Robin Lanore 
            Findley; three sisters, Anita Spears and Shirley Hoyle, both of 
            Dayton, Ohio and Nancy Simonton, Rogersville; three brothers, Fred 
            Fugate Jr., Kingsport, Charles Fugate and Thomas Fugate, both of 
            Rogersville; and a host of loving nieces and nephews. Special thanks 
            to a loving sister-in-law, Virginia Fugate. 
            Calling hours are from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Colboch-Price Funeral 
            Home, Rogersville. 
            Services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home

            Mary Frazier, 80, Kingsport.
               
            Services for Mary Lee Harrison Frazier, 80, of Kingsport, who passed 
            away Wednesday (Nov. 7, 2001), will be conducted at 8 p.m. today in 
            the chapel of Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport, with 
            Pastor G.D. Peters officiating. 
            Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. 
            Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at East 
            Lawn Cemetery. 

            William A. Harris, 88, Kingsport.

            KINGSPORT - William A. "Fiddler'' Harris, 88, went to be with his 
            Lord Wednesday (Nov. 7, 2001) at the VA Medical Center after a 
            period of declining health. 
            William was born March 25, 1913 in Greene County and moved to 
            Kingsport in 1940. He was a son of the late William Arthur and 
            Bertha Nease Harris, and was married to the late Nancy Jeanette 
            Harris, who passed away in 1997. 
            He was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 688, York and Scottish Rite 
            bodies, Jericho Temple, and life member of the VFW Post No. 3382. 
            He was a veteran, serving honorably and proudly for his country in 
            the U.S. Army during World War II with the second Infantry Division. 
            He was a recipient of the Purple Heart. 
            He did plastering for a living, and was a member of the Indian 
            Springs Baptist Church. 
            In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a 
            daughter in 1987, Linda K. Harris Lady; two sisters, Dorothy Taylor 
            Harris and Reba Ledford; four brothers, Henry Judson Harris, Leroy 
            Marcus Harris, James B. Harris and Taylor DeWitte Harris. 
            William was a kind, gentle and loving father and grandfather who 
            will be missed by his family. 
               
            Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Charles R. 
            Fields, of Kingsport; a son and daughter-in-law, James (Jim) and 
            Vicki Harris, of Florida; six grandchildren, Teresa Greene, Gene 
            Lady, Wayne Lady, Michael Fields, Sherri Edens and Nancy Harris; 
            seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. 
            Calling hours will be from 5:30 to 8 p.m. today at the East Lawn 
            Funeral Home, and anytime at the residence of his daughter, Judy 
            Fields. 
            A Masonic service will be conducted at 8 p.m. today in the funeral 
            home chapel by the Masonic Lodge No. 688 of Kingsport. 
            Services will follow with the Rev. Aaron Rayburne officiating and 
            eulogy given by his son-in-law, Charles Fields. 
            Music will be under the direction of Mike Morgan and Vicki Harris. 
            Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the East Lawn 
            Memorial Park in the garden of Christus with full military honors 
            conducted by the American Legion Hammond Post #3. 
            Pallbearers will be Richard Self, Bob Brown, Chuck Eaton, Jim Greene 
            and grandsons, Michael Fields, Gene Lady, Gene Lady Jr. and Wayne 
            Lady. 

            Catherine Hensley, 72, Kingsport. 

            KINGSPORT - Catherine (Cathy) B. Hensley, 72, died Thursday morning 
            (Nov. 8, 2001) at Holston Valley Medical Center after a brief 
            illness. 
            She was born in Denver, Colo., and had been a resident of Kingsport 
            since 1960. 
            Mrs. Hensley was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church where she 
            was active in the food pantry. She was a member of the Civitan 
            Evening Club and served on the Sullivan County Foster Care Review 
            Board. 
            She was employed at the Department of Human Services for 32 years. 
            Mrs. Hensley was preceded in death by her parents. 
            Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Frank 
            Wartman, Asheville, N.C.; two sons and daughters-in-law, David and 
            Jennie Hensley, Greenville, S.C., and Mark and Lisa Hensley, Johnson 
            City; and five grandchildren. 
            Memorial services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. 
            Paul's Episcopal Church with The Rev. Daniel P. Matthews Jr. 
            officiating. 
            The remains will be interred in the St. Paul's Memorial Gardens.

            Edith Johnson, 81, Nashville.

            NASHVILLE - Edith Moore Johnson, 81, formerly of Surgoinsville, 
            passed away Thursday morning (Nov. 8, 2001) in Nashville. 
            She was preceded in death by her husband, Jefferson D. Johnson, July 
            31, 2000.

            Funeral Home, Rogersville. 

            Carson Lane, 92, Gate City, Va.

            GATE CITY, Va. - Roy Carson Lane, 92, Route 3, departed this life 
            early Wednesday evening (Nov. 7, 2001) at Holston Valley Medical 
            Center. 
            A native of Scott County, Va., he was retired from the railroad and 
            was of the Baptist faith. 
            He was preceded in death by his wife, Genevive Haynes Lane; and 
            parents, Samuel Lane and Laura Jennings Lane. 
            Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Isabella and Verbie Morgan, 
            Gate City, Va.; three sons and daughters-in-law, John William and 
            Helen Lane, Wallace and Emma Lane and Darrell and Karen Lane, all of 
            Gate City, Va.; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a brother, 
            William D. Lane, Gate City, Va.; and several special nieces and 
            nephews.

            Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. today in the funeral home 
            chapel with the Rev. Wrightly Salling officiating.

            Elizabeth Livesay, 78, Richmond, Va.

            RICHMOND, Va. - Elizabeth M. Livesay, 78, formerly of Big Stone Gap, 
            Va., died Monday (Nov. 5, 2001). 
            She was retired from CVS Pharmacy after over 30 years of service. 
            Surviving are two sons, Carl L. Livesay and William R. Livesay; one 
            daughter, Donna Lindblad and her husband, John; a grandson, 
            Christopher Livesay; two stepgrandchildren, John and Lesley 
            Lindblad; and her brother, Harry G. Livesay and wife, Jean. 
            Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. today at Glencoe 
            Cemetery with the Rev. Alan Collier officiating.

            Hugh Sam Milhorn, 83, Kingsport.

            KINGSPORT - Hugh Sam Milhorn, 83, Ervin Court, died Thursday (Nov. 
            7, 2001) at Sunbridge Hillside Manor Health Care. 
            Born in Sullivan County (Bluff City), he moved to Kingsport in 1924. 
            He graduated from Dobyns-Bennett High School and attended the 
            University of Tennessee. 
            He served in the U.S. Marines, during World War II, and was a 
            charter member of Charles DeWitt Byrd VFW Post No. 3382. He was a 
            member of American Legion Hammond Post No. 3. 
            He retired from Eastman Kodak after over 42 years of service. 
            He was a member of Higher Ground Baptist Church, where he served as 
            usher for years. 
            He was preceded in death by his parents, George W. Milhorn and Lucy 
            Cotter Milhorn; two sisters, Emily Milhorn and Dorothy Allen; 
            brothers, W.R. Milhorn, George F. Milhorn and Lonnie Milhorn. 
               
            Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Genevieve Gibson Milhorn, of the 
            home; one sister, Mildred Ledwell, Kingsport; a special niece, Anna 
            Moreland and husband, Wes, Kingsport; a special nephew, Tommy 
            Milhorn and wife, Bobbye, Kingsport; and other nieces and nephews. 
            Calling hours are from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Carter-Trent Funeral 
            Home, downtown Kingsport. 
            Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. today in the funeral home 
            chapel with Dr. Phil Hoskins and the Rev. Richard Ratliff

            INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Services for Everett Lee Moore, 81, who died 
            Saturday (Nov. 3, 2001), will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in the 
            chapel of Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport, with the 
            Rev. Arthur Franklin and the Rev. Gerald Bishop officiating.

            KINGSPORT - Calling hours for Georgie Ada Musselwhite Paschal, 92,

            Ga., who died Tuesday (Nov. 6, 2001), will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today

            Mrs. Paschal will be taken following the visiting hours to the

            with the Rev. Clifford Pierson and the Rev. Paul Presley 
            officiating.

            Zessie Stapleton, 87, Jonesville, Va. 

            JONESVILLE, Va. - Zessie Stapleton, 87, of the Sandy Ridge 
            community, died Wednesday (Nov. 8, 2001) at Indian Path Medical 
            Center after a lengthy illness. 
            A lifelong resident of Lee County, Va., she was a homemaker and a 
            member of the Jonesville First Baptist Church. 
            She was preceded in death by her husband, Buford Stapleton; one son, 
            Clinton Stapleton; infant daughter, Peggy Stapleton; her parents, 
            Andrew and Lizzie Napier; five brothers, Woodrow, Tunis, Clarence, 
            Larance and Hubert Napier; and two sisters, Nettie Kirk and Maxie 
            Evans. 
            Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Carl Wade and Sandra 
            Stapleton of Noblesville, Ind., and Jerry and Patty Stapleton of 
            Dryden, Va.; one daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth (Liz) and Bill 
            Myers of Jonesville, Va.; eight grandchildren; five 
            great-grandchildren; one sister, Evelyn Chandler of Winchester, Va. 
            Calling hours are from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Arney-Mullins Funeral 
            Home in Jonesville, Va. 
            Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home 
            chapel with the Rev. Bill Booth and the Rev. Randy Aldridge

            Stone Creek community.

            Jeff Steffey, 48, Nickelsville, Va.
               
            Graveside services for Paul Jeffery Steffey, 48, of Route 2, 
            Nickelsville, Va., who began his journey with the Lord as he entered 
            into eternal rest at his residence on Tuesday (Nov. 6, 2001), will 
            be conducted at 11 a.m. today at Steffey Family Cemetery. The family 
            will meet at the funeral home at 10 a.m. to go in procession to the 
            cemetery. 
            Pallbearers will be Roy Kinkead, Henry Ashworth, David Dotson, Aaron 
            Steffey, Justin White, Tommy Gilmer. 
            Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Taylor, Bob Tyus, Doyle White and
