            into eternity on November 8, 2001 will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday 
            at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Gary Soop and the Rev. 
            Caryl Griffin officiating. 
            Calling hours are from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral 
            Home. 
            Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park with grandchildren 
            serving as pallbearers.

            Charles Allen, 75, Kingsport.

            KINGSPORT - Charles Clelly Allen, 75, passed away at 6:12 Friday 
            (Nov. 9, 2001) at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. 
            He was born in Jackson County, Ky., and was a member of Victory 
            Baptist Church in Bativa, Ohio. 
            Surviving are his wife, Bernice Brooks Allen; five daughters, Kathy 
            Becknell, Tyner, Ky., Donna Allen, Bativa, Ohio, Carmen Bryant, 
            Pearcy, Ark., Kim Weaver, Franklin, Ind., and Patricia Johnson, 
            Cincinnati, Ohio; foster daughter, Randi Reed, West Harrison, Ohio; 
            one son, Charles R. Allen, Chaplin, Ky.; 14 grandchildren; two 
            great-grandchildren; two sisters, Pearl Kilburn, Hamilton, Ohio, and 
            Shirley Allen, Milford, Ohio; two brothers, Clyde Allen, Hamilton, 
            Ohio and Paul of Plainview, Texas. 
            Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Colboch-Price Funeral 
            Home, Rogersville. 
            Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home 
            chapel with the Rev. William R. Allen and the Rev. Keith Osborne

            Paul M. Casteel, 86, Kingsport.

            KINGSPORT - Paul M. Casteel, 86, died Thursday (Nov. 8, 2001) at 
            Indian Path Medical Center. 
            Born in Russell County, Va., he had resided in Kingsport since 1931. 
            Mr. Casteel was employed for 37 years with Tennessee Eastman Company 
            retiring in 1973. 
            He was a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church. He was a member 
            of the Masonic Lodge No. 688 F&AM, where he was a 32nd degree Mason, 
            Jericho Shrine Temple, York Rite and Scottish Rite. 
            He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Susie Casteel; 
            three sisters, Pana Blevins, Ella Blevins and Jessie Smith; five 
            brothers, Omar Casteel, Phillip Casteel, Carson Casteel, Logan 
            Casteel and Nathan Casteel. 
               
            Surviving are his wife, Virginia Livingston Casteel, Kingsport; one 
            son, Paul E. Casteel and wife, Fran, Dandridge, Tenn.; one 
            stepdaughter, Deborah Slemp, Kingsport; one stepson, Gary Sampson, 
            Kingsport; four grandchildren, Michael "Stoney'' Casteel, Jason 
            Casteel, Shawn Videc and Kelly Videc; five stepgrandchildren, Lisa 
            Sykes, Kim Slemp, Sonya Duncan, Holly Sampson and Bryan Sampson; 
            five great-grandchildren; four sisters, Louise Young, Afton, Tenn., 
            Jennette Henry, Kingsport, Lula Ramsey, Dungannon, Va., and Emily 
            Franklin, Laurel, Md.; and several nieces and nephews. 
            Calling hours are from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral 
            Home, downtown. 
            Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. today in the funeral home 
            chapel with Pastor Wayne Baker officiating. 
            Graveside services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in 
            Tri-Cities Memory Gardens. 
            Memorials may be given to the Shriners Children's Hospital, 950 W. 
            Faris Road, Greenville, S.C. 29605-4277.

            Thomas Glen Davis, 69, Kingsport.

            KINGSPORT - Thomas Glen Davis, 69, went to be with the Lord Thursday 
            (Nov. 8, 2001) after an extended illness. 
            A lifelong resident of Kingsport, Mr. Davis retired from Eastman 
            Kodak in 1993. He was past master of the Kingsport Masonic Lodge 
            #688 and a member of York Rites and Scottish Rite. 
            He was an avid reader and enjoyed woodworking and history. 
            Surviving are his wife, Sandy Davis, Kingsport; a daughter, Susan 
            Walton, Chattanooga, Tenn.; three sons and daughters-in-law, Larry 
            K. and Jacque Davis, Spokane, Wash., Michael G. and Kim Davis, 
            Wichita, Kansas and Barry and Teri Walton, Kingsport; eight 
            grandchildren, Allyssa Davis, Shaylee Davis, Blake Davis, Justin 
            Davis, Lane Davis, Landon Davis, Kelli Walton, Corey Walton; two 
            sisters, Betty Berry and Ann Little, both of Kingsport; brothers, 
            Larry Ronald Davis, Church Hill and Richard Davis, Abingdon, Va.; 
            and several nieces and nephews. 
            Calling hours are from 2 to 3 p.m. today at St. Luke's United 
            Methodist Church. Memorial services will be conducted at 3 p.m. 
            today in the sanctuary with the Rev. Max A. Weaver officiating.

            Ethel Findley, Rogersville.

            ROGERSVILLE - Ethel Sue Fugate Findley passed away at her home 
            Thursday (Nov. 8, 2001). 
            She was born on June 8, 1931 in Wise County, Va., but lived much of 
            her adult life in Dayton, Ohio, where she was employed by the U.S. 
            Post Office. 
            She was preceded in death by her father, Fred Fugate Sr., and 
            mother, Louise Fugate. 
            Surviving are her husband, John Findley; one daughter, Robin Lanore 
            Findley; three sisters, Anita Spears and Shirley Hoyle, both of 
            Dayton, Ohio and Nancy Simonton, Rogersville; three brothers, Fred 
            Fugate Jr., Kingsport, Charles Fugate and Thomas Fugate, both of 
            Rogersville; and a host of loving nieces and nephews. Special thanks 
            to a loving sister-in-law, Virginia Fugate. 
            Calling hours are from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Colboch-Price Funeral 
            Home, Rogersville. 
            Services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home 
            chapel with Minister Robert O'Dell officiating.

            Margaret Fink, 88, Kingsport.

            KINGSPORT - Margaret Clayman Fink, 88, went to be with the Lord 
            Thursday (Nov. 8, 2001) at the Alvin Street residence. 
            She was a lifelong resident of Sullivan County (Fordtown Road area) 
            and for the past several years she had made her home with her sister 
            and brother-in-law, Katherine and Harry Jennings. 
            She retired from Holston Valley Medical Center after 30 years of 
            service and was a member of Kingsley United Methodist Church and 
            served as secretary for several years. 
            She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Fink; her parents, 
            William David Clayman and Martha Huffman Clayman; two sisters, Mary 
            Hobbs and Grace Clayman; and three brothers, Ed Clayman, Noah 
            Clayman and Lloyd Clayman. 
            Surviving are her sister and brother-in-law, Katherine and Harry 
            Jennings; her brother and sister-in-law, John and Ethel Clayman, all 
            of Kingsport; and several nieces and nephews. 
            Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Carter-Trent Funeral 
            Home, Kingsport. 
            Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home 
            chapel with Pastor Ray Amos and Pastor Winston Sweeney officiating. 
            Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at the 
            Gunnings Cemetery, Blountville. 
            Family and friends attending the graveside service will meet at the 
            cemetery at 10:55 a.m. 
            Pallbearers will be Paul Jennings, Jerry Jennings, Darrell 
            McConnell, Scott Moore, Ed Moore, Dan Hobbs, Herman Clayman, Don 
            Clayman and Jeff Parsons. 

            Mary Frazier, 80, Kingsport.
               
            Graveside services for Mary Lee Harrison Frazier, 80, of Kingsport, 
            who passed away Wednesday (Nov. 7, 2001), will be conducted at 11 
            a.m. today at East Lawn Cemetery. 
            Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, downtown, is in charge of the 
            arrangements. 

            William A. Harris, 88, Kingsport.
               
            Graveside services for William A. "Fiddler" Harris, 88, Kingsport, 
            who went to be with his Lord Wednesday (Nov. 7, 2001) will be at 3 
            p.m. today at the East Lawn Memorial Park in the garden of Christus 
            with full military honors conducted by the American Legion Hammond 
            Post #3. 
            Pallbearers will be Richard Self, Bob Brown, Chuck Eaton, Jim Greene 
            and grandsons, Michael Fields, Gene Lady, Gene Lady Jr. and Wayne 
            Lady.

            Catherine Hensley, 72, Kingsport.

            KINGSPORT - Memorial services for Catherine (Cathy) B. Hensley, 72, 
            who died Thursday morning (Nov. 8, 2001) will be conducted at 11 
            a.m. today at St. Paul's Episcopal Church with The Rev. Daniel P. 
            Matthews Jr. officiating. 
            The remains will be interred in the St. Paul's Memorial Gardens.

            Edith Johnson, Surgoinsville.

            SURGOINSVILLE - Edith Lillian Moore Johnson passed away early 
            Thursday (Nov. 8, 2001). 
            She was a most generous and well loved person by her family, church 
            and community. 
            Mrs. Johnson was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of 
            Surgoinsville, where she worshipped and served the Lord and lived a 
            long, happy, life. 
            She was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Johnson Jr.; her 
            parents, Everett and Mary Moore; her brothers, Bob and Elmer Moore; 
            and her sister, Ruby Moore Harlow. 
            Surviving are her daughter, Alice Moore Johnson, Sacramento, Calif.; 
            son and daughter-in-law, Jeffery and Joyce Johnson, Nashville; her 
            brother, Mack Moore, Kingsport; her sister, Reba Moore Bryant, 
            Dallas, Texas; and several nieces, nephews and friends. 
            Calling hours are from 1 to 2 p.m. today at Colboch-Price Funeral 
            Home, Rogersville. 
            Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home 
            chapel with the Rev. Steve Holt officiating. 
            Interment will follow in the Bellamy Cemetery. 

            Carson Lane, 92, Gate City, Va.

            GATE CITY, Va. - Graveside services for Roy Carson Lane, 92, Route 
            3, who departed this life early Wednesday evening (Nov. 7, 2001) 
            will be at 1 p.m. today in Holston View Cemetery. 
            Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. 
            Scott County Funeral Home, Weber City, Va., is in charge of the 
            arrangements. 

            Bill Massengill, 71, Kingsport.

            KINGSPORT - J. Billy Massengill, 71, 916 Teasel Drive, died at 10 
            p.m. Thursday (Nov. 8, 2001) in the emergency room of Wellmont 
            Holston Valley Medical Center of an apparent heart attack. 
            Born in Lee County, Va., he was a son of the late Mathnul and Media 
            Massengill. He lived in Kingsport most of his life and was a former 
            employee of Kingsport Press. Bill was manager of Colonial Heights 
            Hardware for a number of years and had managed the Farm and 
            Industrial Parts for the past 17 years. He loved camping and hiking. 

            He attended Higher Ground Baptist Church. 
            In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, 
            Joan Massengill; a son, Jerry Kyle Massengill; a step grandson, Greg 
            Bishop; a brother, Ira Massengill; half-brother, Charlie Massengill; 
            and half-sister, Fannie Whitaker. 
               
            Surviving are his wife, Philis Bishop Massengill, Kingsport; a son, 
            Jeff Massengill, Kingsport; stepson, Mike Bishop, Monticello, Ark.; 
            stepdaughter, Cynthia Howington, Kingsport; two grandchildren, 
            Jennifer and Jason Massengill; four step grandchildren, Allen and 
            Bethany Tipton, McKenzie Howington and Tyler Bishop; two sisters, 
            June Fields and husband, Millard, Duffield, Va., Leona Walden and 
            husband, Albert, Church Hill; one brother, Jack T. Massengill and 
            wife, Betty, Kingsport; and several nieces and nephews. 
            Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral 
            Home, downtown. 
            Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Higher Ground Baptist 
            Church with Dr. Phil Hoskins and the Rev. A. Richard Ratliff 
            officiating. 
            The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to the service. 
            Interment will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park. 
            Pallbearers will be Mark Massengill, Scott Walden, Logan Massengill, 
            Jack Stidham, Mike Bishop, Robert Summers and David Nickles.

            Hugh Sam Milhorn, 83, Kingsport.

            KINGSPORT - Hugh Sam Milhorn, 83, Ervin Court, died Thursday (Nov. 
            7, 2001) at Sunbridge Hillside Manor Health Care. 
            Born in Sullivan County (Bluff City), he moved to Kingsport in 1924. 
            He graduated from Dobyns-Bennett High School and attended the 
            University of Tennessee. 
            He served in the U.S. Marines, during World War II, and was a 
            charter member of Charles DeWitt Byrd VFW Post No. 3382. He was a 
            member of American Legion Hammond Post No. 3. 
            He retired from Eastman Kodak after over 42 years of service. 
            He was a member of Higher Ground Baptist Church, where he served as 
            usher for years. 
            He was preceded in death by his parents, George W. Milhorn and Lucy 
            Cotter Milhorn; two sisters, Emily Milhorn and Dorothy Allen; 
            brothers, W.R. Milhorn, George F. Milhorn and Lonnie Milhorn. 
               
            Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Genevieve Gibson Milhorn, of the 
            home; one sister, Hildred Ledwell, Kingsport; a special niece, Anna 
            Moreland and husband, Wes, Kingsport; a special nephew, Tommy 
            Milhorn and wife, Bobbye, Kingsport; and other nieces and nephews. 
            Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m. today at Oak Hill 
            Cemetery with military rites by American Legion Hammond Post No. 3 
            of the Colorguard. 
            Pallbearers will be ushers of Higher Ground Baptist Church. 
            Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of Higher Ground Baptist 
            Church. 
            Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport is in charge of 
            arrangements. 

            Lee Moore, 81, Indianapolis, Ind.

            INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Services for Everett Lee Moore, 81, who died 
            Saturday (Nov. 3, 2001), will be conducted at 1 p.m. today in the 
            chapel of Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport, with the 
            Rev. Arthur Franklin and the Rev. Gerald Bishop officiating. 
            Calling hours will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the funeral 
            home. 
            Burial will follow at the Light Cemetery.

            Myrtle Presley, 77, Gate City, Va.
               
            GATE CITY, Va. - Graveside services for Myrtle Marie Presley, 77, 
            who entered into rest Wednesday (Nov. 7, 2001), will be conducted at 
            11 a.m. today at the Presley-Dingus Cemetery, Pendleton's community, 
            Ft. Blackmore, Va. 
            Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews. 
            The family will be meeting at 10:15 a.m. at the funeral home to go 
            in procession to the cemetery. 
            A gathering for family and friends will be held at the Pendleton's 
            Freewill Baptist Church fellowship hall following the graveside 
            service.

            James Templeton, Rogersville.

            ROGERSVILLE - James Amos Templeton, born Aug. 21, 1929, passed away 
            Friday morning (Nov. 9, 2001) at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in 
            Rogersville (formerly of Tiftonia Retirement Home in Chattanooga, 
            Tenn.) 
            He was preceded in death by his parents, William Harvey and Nettie 
            E. Templeton; and sister, Ruby Virginia Templeton. 
            Surviving are three sisters, Betty J. Goins, Bertha Price and Belle 
            Elkins (John); one brother, C.H. Templeton (Margie), Elloree, S.C.; 
            special cousins, Frank and Ann Klepper, Chester, Md.; and several 
            nieces and nephews. 
            Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Colboch-Price Funeral 
            Home, Rogersville, and anytime at the residence of his sister, Belle 
            Elkins, 1012 W. Main St., Rogersville. 
            Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home

            officiating.
