The Florida Gardens and Preserves Collaborative includes information on Leu Gardens, Orlando, FL
Central Florida Zoo in Sanford, FL - exhibits are "older" in style, but this zoo is closer to home.
Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of Art in Orlando, FL.  Has a wonderful Tiffany display!


Central Florida, east coast links:

Brevard Zoo in Melborne, FL - looks like a nice zoo - haven't been there yet.
Castillo de San Marcos National Monument in St. Augustine, FL.
Jacksonville Zoological Gardens in Jacksonville, FL - looks like a great zoo - haven't been there yet - nice web site!
Kennedy Space Center near Cocoa Beach, FL.
Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse in Ponce de Leon Inlet.  Includes an execellent working display of a 1st Order Fresnel Lens and you can walk the lighthouse tower and widow's walk.
St. Augustine Lighthouse and Museum in St. Augustine, FL.  You can walk the lighthouse tower and widow's walk.


Central Florida, west coast links:

Bok Tower Gardens in Lake Wales.  A nice garden setting with Carillion music from the tower at scheduled times during the day.
Florida Aquarium Tampa, FL.  A great place to spend a rainy afternoon!
Lowry Park Zoo Tampa, FL.  A nice modern style zoo.  Our 4 month old enjoyed the aquariums and birds!
Silver Springs in Silver Springs, FL.  A small theme park with an emphasis on natural Florida, that can be enjoyed in one afternoon.
