Copyright Morning Call Sep 9, 1994Robert K. Frankenfield, 64, of 1936 Park Lane, Orefield, died Thursday in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Joy D. (Donley) Frankenfield.
A 1953 graduate of the Merchant Marine Academy, Kings Point, N.Y., he was a merchant marine officer for the Mobil Oil Corp., retiring in 1985. Before that, he taught marine biology at Southampton (N.Y.) College for several years.
Born in Milford, N.J., he was a son of Dorothy K. (Keown) Frankenfield of Allentown and the late Calvin S. Frankenfield.
He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War and served in the Merchant Marines during the Vietnam War.
Survivors: Wife and mother; son, Kurt C., in North Carolina, and a grandson.
Services: 11 a.m. Monday, Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 Highland St., Allentown. Call 10-11 a.m. Monday.

Malcolm W. Dominy, 69, of South Whitehall Township, died on Tuesday, February 17, 2009 in his home. He and his wife, Beverly Brown, celebrated 45 years of marriage last October. Born in Plattsburgh, New York, he was the son of Harry and Hazel (Stafford) Dominy. He earned a bachelors degree in electrical engineering from Union College and a MBA from Purdue University. He completed 39 years of service at Bethlehem Steel Company, working at the Lackawanna, Burns Harbor and the Bethlehem Plants. He retired in 2001 as site manager of the Bethlehem Plant. Mal was a life member of the American Iron & Steel Engineers, also serving on the board. He was president of the Chesterton Indiana Lions Club and a Duneland School Board Director. He served on the Lehigh Valley United Way Board. An avid bridge player, he was an ACBL Life Master. He was a member of Saucon Valley Country club and a Life Member of the Lehigh County Senior Citizens Center.
Survivors: Sons, William, Michael and his wife, Xiomara, Kenneth and his wife, Larissa; grandchildren, Calista and Christa; brothers, Harold, Gerald, Russell, Raymond. He was predeceased by a daughter, Lynda Ann, and a brother Ronald.
Services: Visitation on Saturday, February 21 from 1-2 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. at Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 1629 Hamilton Street, Allentown.
