Kenneth W. Sloyer Kenneth W. Kenny Sloyer, 64, Center Valley, previously of Quakertown, died peacefully in his home Monday morning Nov. 5. He was the husband of Roberta Bobbie (Heinly) Sloyer. They were married 10 years in October. He was a maintenance supervisor for the former E.W. Knauss & Son Inc., Quakertown, for 17 years before retiring in 2001. Previously, he was an auto mechanic working for a number of years for Ken Fry Service Center, Quakertown and for more than 20 years, he partnered with his late father in the operation of the former Sloyers Garage, Quakertown. Born in Quakertown, he was the son of Bertha (Dietz) Sloyer, Quakertown and the late Marion L. Miley Sloyer. He was a graduate of Quakertown High School, class of 1961 and served in the Army during the Vietnam era. Kenny possessed an avid love of antique and classic cars. He had restored a number of vehicles which he entered in shows receiving a number of awards. He was known as a real Mr. Fix-It because of his wide array of mechanical and technical skills and his desire to help whenever his assistance was requested. Kenny was one of the areas first organ transplant recipients and survived the transplant for more than 25 years. Survivors: Surviving with his wife and mother, daughters, Deana Cronk and her husband, Matthew and Melissa Dottery and her husband, Ryan, all of Quakertown and Tracy of Frisco, Colo.; stepchildren, Shannon Greenawalt, husband Michael, Center Valley and Geoffrey Gehris, Coopersburg; sister, Elaine Heimbach and her husband, Jerry, of Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; grandchildren, Casie, Cameron, McKayla, Christian, Tyler and Jordan. He was the husband of Jeanette (Funk) Seifert for 52 years. He was an engineer for the Philadelphia, Bethlehem and New England Railroad at Bethlehem Steel Corp. for 35 years until retiring. He was a former instructor for the Parkettes, and National Sokols and Miss Jeanne's School of Dance, both of Bethlehem. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Harry Earl and Nora (Blackwell) Seifert. He was a Coast Guard veteran of World War II, having served on the LST 829 in the Pacific. He was a member of the Sunflower Resort Swim Club, Surprise, having won medals in the Senior Olympics. Martin W. Lynn Jr., 81, of Bethlehem, died Tuesday, November 14, 2006, in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Marcene (Hersh) Lynn. They celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary last April 2.

He was employed by Bethlehem Steel Corp. for many years before retiring as office manager of plate sales. He served in the Army during World War II and the Korean War, and later served in the National Guard. Martin was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church, Bethlehem, where he was a past treasurer. He was a past president of the Allentown Bethlehem chapter S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A. for barbershop singing.

Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Martin W. Sr. and Marion (Seifert) Lynn.

Survivors: Wife; four daughters, Deborah Fenton and her husband Patrick of Carbondale, Col., Bonita Riccaboni and her husband Gerald of Allentown, Kathie Vresics and her husband William of Danielsville, Keri Hechenberger and her husband Steven of Stockertown; son, Barry and his wife Char of Billings, Mont.; sister, Nancy Faust of Allentown; brother, Carl of Hilton Head, S.C.; 10 grandchildren, two great-grandsons. he was predecease by a sister, Joyce Adinolfi.

She was married to the late Frank L. Windish of Bethlehem, and Richard Agrippine of Allentown. She was a companion of Nevin Klinger with whom she resided in Trexlertown, PA. Always caring and compassionate for the needs of others, Betty leaves behind many wonderful friends. She loved to share in their happiness and joy. Oh, yes. Betty loved ice cream, too!Betty was predeceased by daughter, Betty Ann Delong of Philadelphia, PA. Survivors: She is survived by her daughter, Rev. Sue Doohan and her husband Bill, of Strange Creek, West Virginia, and son, Frederick W. Windish and his wife Christine of Lower Saucon Township, PA. Additional survivors include granddaughter, Carrie Cevicelow and her husband Nick, and great-grandson, Alex Cevicelow, all of Coplay, PA.
