Mrs. Mabel L. Miller, 79, formerly of 314 N. 14th St., Allentown, died Monday in the Masonic Home at Elizabethtown, Lancaster County. She was the widow of Earle B. Miller.
Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Ellsworth and Lizzie (Yenser) Eckroth.
She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, Allentown.
There are no immediate survivors.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday, Stephens Funeral Home, 1335-57 Linden St., Allentown. Call 9:30-10:30 a.m. Friday.

SLOYER, a retired self-employed carpenter and farmer, died at 4:15 p.m. yesterday in his home, 36 N. Main St., Nazareth. He was 80. Born in Lower Saucon Township, he was a son of the late John and Elmira R. (HEFT) SLOYER. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Nazareth. Surviving are his widow, Stella L. (NOLF) SLOYER; a daughter, Virginia M., wife of William D. JONES, Easton R.1; two sons, Benjamin J., Trumbauersville, and Elwood R., Nazareth; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Services wil be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Bensing Funeral Home, Moorestown. Call 7-9 p.m. tomorrow."

Virginia M. Jones of Star Route in Springtown, Milford Township, died Tuesday at Quakertown Community Hospital. She was 61.

Born in Nazareth, Northampton County, she was the daughter of the late James and Stella Sloyer. She was the wife of the late William D. Jones.

Mrs. Jones was employed as a cook for five years by the Sumney West Tavern in West Point, Upper Gwynedd Township, prior to her retirement in March.

Prior to working at the tavern, she and her husband operated a restaurant at the Cherry Ridge Airport near Honesdale, Pa., for several years. She is survived by her stepsons, Walter Jones of Lansdale and Thomas Jones of Schnecksville, Pa.; five stepdaughters, Teresa Young of Springtown, Bertille Black atMeriden, Conn., Bernadette Finkle of Perkasie, Patricia Freed of Milford Square and Nancy Steckel of Sellersville; 16 stepgrandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. on Friday at the Jeffrey A. Naugle Funeral Home, 20 N. Ambler St., Quakertown.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society.
