"Bachman, John F." Newspaper dated February 2, 1935John F. Bachman, for the past five years an attendant at the Atlantic Refining company service station at Twelve and Hamilton Streets, died suddenly of a heart stroke last night at 7:30 o'cock at his home, 532 Park Street. He was 45 years of age. The death of Mr. Bachman came unexpectedly a short time after he had returned from work and twenty minutes, after he had complained of feeling ill. Although he had not been confined to bed at any time recently, he had been in failing health for the past two years. Born in Wagnersville, Northampton County, a son of the late Charles F. and Emma, nee Sloyer, Bachman, he had resided in this city for the past seventee years. Prior to taking employment with the Atlantic Refining Company, he worked for several years as a ribbon finisher at the plant of the Allentown Silk Company. He was a member of the Lutheran faith and was affiliated with the P. O. S. of A. of Bethlehem. Besides his widow, Irene M., nee Geary Bachman, he is survived by two sons, Albert Bachman, this city, and Walter Bachman, Bethlehem, the latter of a former marriage; two step-children, Mrs. Harry Amey this city, and George Silfies, of New York; a grandchild, Dolores Amey and one sister, Mrs. Herbert Heffner, Bethlehem.Arrangements for the funeral had not been completed last night ******

Ruth was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Easton. Survivors: Ruth is survived by her grandchildren Walter M. Sloyer of Forks Twp., Sean O. Sloyer of Jacksonville, FL; great grandchildren Timothy Sloyer, Ronald A. Sloyer; nieces Grace, Stephanie and a nephew Kerry. Son Ronald W. Sloyer and brothers Edward, Walter and James M. Storm all preceded Ruth in death. Services: Calling hours will be held on Tuesday evening from 6 pm until 8 pm and Wednesday from 9 am until 10 am in the Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas St., Palmer Twp.
