Mrs. Mamie B. Herbold, 94, formerly of Bethlehem and Lakeland, Fla., died Thursday in Bell Haven Nursing Home, Quakertown. She was the widow of Henry P. Herbold and Frederick C. Herbold.

She was a sewing machine operator at the former Berkeron Manufacturing Co., Fountain Hill, for many years before retiring in 1956.

Born in Wassergass, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Ellen (Longenour) Bauder. She was a member of Fritz Memorial United Methodist Church, Bethlehem.

Surviving are two sons, James Herbold of Kresgeville and Douglas Herbold of Lower Saucon Township; two daughters, Mary Ellen Glenn of Dover, N.J., and Emma Jenny of Bethlehem Township; 22 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Alfreda Glenn, and a son, Carl Frederick.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the church. A calling hour will precede the services.

The Lester S. Pearson Funeral Home, 1901 Linden St., Bethlehem, is in charge of arrangements.

Bergstresser's father, Alfred L., founded the family business as A.L. Bergstresser & Son. Kenneth A. Bergstresser, 90, formerly of Bethlehem, died April 20 in Cornwall Manor, Lebanon County. He was the husband of the late Marion M. (Myers) Bergstresser.

He was a biology professor emeritus of Moravian College, Bethlehem. He received a bachelor's degree in biology from Albright College, Reading, a master's degree from the University of Pittsburgh and a doctorate from Lehigh University.

Born in Hellertown, he was a son of the late Alfred L. and Daisy (Bauder) Bergstresser.

He was a member of Cornwall United Methodist Church, and a former member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Bethlehem, and St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Hellertown, where he was a Sunday school superintendent.

He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving as a senior chief field director of the American Red Cross with the 12th Armored Division. He was a recipient of a Bronze Star.

He was a member of Hellertown-Lower Saucon School Board, Bethlehem Masonic Lodge 283 and Cornwall Manor Tree Committee.

Survivors: Sons, Michael Divinia of San Jose, Calif., Karl Bergstresser of Centreville, Va.; daughter, Kay Somers of Bethlehem; four grandchildren.
