When he was 10 years old, around 1930, due to his health, the family was told to move to Florida to help him until his death in a few years. So Roy Jr., his grandmother, father, and sister moved to Tampa, Florida. He lived to be 76 years old.
In the 1880 Census George W has son listed as Andrew T (Thompson) Smith age 8. In the 1900 census, Andrew T Smith is in Green Co, Missouri age 29 yrs with his wife and children. In the 1910 census, they were in Choutauque, Kansas. In the 1920 census, they were in Pawhuska, Osage, Oklahoma. After 1924 they started raising their grandchildren due to the death of their mother.

1924 they started raising their grandchildren due to the death of their mother.DEATH: Andrew T. was taking a horse to Tulsa, Oklahoma from Pawhuska, Oklahoma around 1921/22 when he disappeared. The man who was buying the horse said, Andrew never got to Tulsa and he never got the horse he bought. Andrew's wife put a notice in the newspapaer trying to find him. No one ever heard from Andrew T after that.
