Henry Goins' Barn Burns in District 2, Bradley CO, TN June 5, 1879

The news article above appeared in the June 12, 1879, issue of The Weekly Herald and occurred on Thursday, June 5. Henry Goins is a son of Daniel Goins, both residents of District 2. This was the second case of arson in that vicinity in 1879.

This article from The Weekly Herald published February 27, 1879, described the first arson in the vicinity to Mrs. Gatlin's property on the night of February 22, 1879. The two articles below from The Weekly Herald on September 22 and October 16 respectively concerned Bradley County Circuit Court proceedings regarding John Dixon's trial.
