[NOTE: Account dates were often omitted. Sometimes only the customer's surname was written, in which case dotted lines are listed below for the first names. The miller capitalized surnames at random and guessed at their spellings. Plural endings were often omitted on common nouns but added on surnames randomly. If legible, the miller's spelling has been followed in this text. As a research convenience, this listing has been alphabetized on each page. It is evident that several family members sometimes traveled together to transport grain to the mill because people with the same surnames appear sequentially in the ledger on various days. Column headings for the transactions were omitted; thus, it is difficult to interpret the meaning of numbers listed in columns. Dollar signs were not used nor were decimals further complicating interpretation.]
