The Local History
Collection maintains a clippings file from local publications
including the Palos Verdes Peninsula News, the Daily Breeze, Peninsula
People, Peninsula Panorama, and items of local interest in The Los
Angeles Times. Articles date back to the 1930's. A complete run of
the Palos Verdes Peninsula News is available on microfilm at the
Peninsula Center Library. Complete runs of the Palos Verdes Bulletin
are available in bound editions in the Local History Collection,
partially indexed.
Complete runs of
the Palos Verdes Social Review and Palos Verdes Review are available
in bound editions in the Local History Collection, partially indexed.
Individual copies of Peninsula People and Peninsula Panorama are
available in the Local History Collection.
PV Library has a
limited collection of published vital records. Mainly for the eastern
states, these titles consist of early records extracted from original
sources, then edited for publication by individual authors. They may
list names, dates of births, marriages, and deaths for various
localities. Examples are: Southern California Vital Records: Los
Angeles County, 1850-1859; Marriages and Deaths from the Maryland
Gazette, 1727-1839; Early Pennsylvania Births, 1675-1875; Great
Migration Begins: Immigrants to New England, 1620-1633. Subscription
