Where & When ... Temporal & Geographic Distribution THE MANY FACES OF HARTWELL SPEARIN SPEARIN FAMILIES IDENTIFIED SO FAR Traditional Genealogy - the Orphan Records
Thomas, 1st Baron Southwell Below are Spearin "orphan records" i.e. records for Spearin's that are not connected as yet with any particular family line. These isolated records give clues about what was happening to Spearin's in Ireland during the 1600's and 1700's. Most people researching their Spearin family tree have been able to go back only as far as about 1800 and no further. However, new clues are emerging all the time as new sources of information are discovered and made available online. Bob has spent a good many hours trawling his vast files and has put together the table below summarising all the data we have for the "Silent Century", the 1700's. Hopefully over time we will be able to piece these various scraps of information together and make robust connections between the different family branches. If you have a piece of information that is not included in the table, please email it to us or post it on our Facebook page. The first table below includes orphan records of people who were probably born sometime before 1800.
The second table below includes orphan records of people who were probably born sometime after 1800.
