FREDERICK J. BRUNER
From the March, 1909 issue of Erie Railroad Magazine (Meadville News):
Engineer Fred J. Bruner of the Second Division was the victim of a severe but probably not fatal accident on Feb. 16 (1909). While running his train near Shenango, his engine became derailed, and while running over the ties he shut off steam and then jumped. He stumbled as he leapt and fell, so as to break his left thigh bone. He was brought to the Spencer Hospital in this city, and is resting as comfortably as possible considering the injury, which will take a long time to heal.
