Entered service of the C&E as brakeman, July 14th, 1892. Single, age 32. Suspended 5 days for damage to switch at North Judson, Oct. 3rd, 1892. Suspended 10 days from March 9th for damage to car he rode on LNA&C "Y" at Wilders in Feb., 1893. Discharged May 6th, 1893 to reduce the force
Reemployed July 19th, 1893 and enters service as a new man. Discharged Feb 9th, 1894 to reduce the force. Reemployed July 19th, 1894. Suspended 7 days for not seeing that switch was wrong when his train started to pull out at west end of north passing track at North Judson on 2nd 87, Feb. 4th, 1896, resulting in switch being run through. In effect Feb. 5th, 1896.
Injured by being run over in 51st Street Yard, May 30th, 1900. Had gone under a car in his train to do some work without telling anyone. Train started and ran over him. Died the same day.
