Entered service Audust 22nd, 1889 as extra brakeman. Age 25, married. Promoted to conductor, Jan. 5, 1891.

Suspended 10 days from Dec. 20th for not placing cars on proper track on 2nd 1, Dec. 10th, 1891. Suspended 7 days March 31, 1892 for leaving SRL 821 at North Judson when car was billed to Chicago. Suspended 10 days from March 14 for disregard of rules 107 & 523 on 3rd 81 at Hoover Feb. 24th, 1893, caused a delay of 2 hours each to 3 sections of No. 96, and 1 hour, 45 minutes to himself.

Suspended 7 days for hauling TH&L 13475 from Huntington to Chicago in 87 on Oct. 24th, 1894, on a bill for NY&NE 13445. Suspended 10 days for leaving Wilders on short time ahead of No. 10 on a section of 86, March 11, 1895, causing delay to 10. Suspended 10 days from May 25th for hauling NYL 51419 to Chicago in No. 85, May 3rd, 1895, when car was loaded for Streator, IL and bill plainly routed via North Judson and II&I. Reprimanded for hauling T&OC 5721 from Huntington to Chicago on an altered bill, without raising some questions, Dec. 9th, 1896.

Suspended one round trip for hauling N&W 22941 from Chicago to Huntington on bill for NYLE&W 22941 in 2nd 90, March 15, 1897. On Nov. 26th, 1898, on 1st 83, handled C&NE car 38324, Huntington to Hammond on card waybill for 38374.

July 13th, 1900 - Discharged.
