Erie Railroad Biography - Robert C. Falconer

ROBERT C. FALCONER, Assistant to President and Chief Engineer
R. C. Falconer is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, civil engineering class of 1895.
He entered railroad service, December, 1898, with Pennsylvania Lines west of Pittsburgh, title of transitman in charge of remodelling car dumpers at Cleveland and Erie and construction of third and fourth tracks, Allegheny to Rochester, Pa.
In service of American Bridge Company, Walton Iron Company of Cincinnati, Pittsburgh Zinc Company and McClintock Marshall Company, from 1900 to 1905.
Came to Erie Railroad Company as assistant engineer, October, 1905, and occupied positions successively of assistant engineer, division engineer New York division, principal assistant engineer lines east, superintendent of construction and assistant chief engineer.
From July, 1918, to March I, 1920, assistant to president and chief engineer, Erie Railroad Company (Corporation).
