Conductor, Western Division. Resigned Aug. 9, 1886. Entered service Sept. 15, 1888, age 37, married, 6 children, as switchman and night yard master. Transferred to list of extra conductors Jan. 9th, 1891. Was for nine months previous to this date day yardmaster at Huntington.
Suspended 7 days from Feb. 1st for setting car C&E 4989, merchandise for Leavittsburg, off at Bolivar, and taking NYL 36817, merchandise for Bolivar, to Huntington on 1st 82, Dec. 22, 1892.
Suspended 7 days for not complying with an order to come out of Chicago as brakeman, Oct. 1st, 1894. Suspended 5 days for careless switching at Griffith on No. 81 of June 26th, 1895, resulting in damage to Erie cars 52452 and 38380, also coffee loaded in the former car.
Suspended 10 days for leaving Palmer on Extra 328 West, Oct. 14, 1895 with but 9 minutes to make Crown Point for No. 3. Delayed No. 3 at Palmer 9 minutes. Suspension in effect 10/26, notified 10/24, expires 11/05/1895.
Suspended 7 days from March 30 for hauling CHV&T 11249 from Huntington to Chicago as an empty in No. 83, Feb. 25, 1896, when it was a loaded car. Suspended 10 days from May 15th for making a running switch at Rochester on Extra 731 West of April 27th, 1897 which resulted in an accident.
Suspended 10 days from Oct. 10th for failure to carry out order of the superintendent to pick up LRL car 8161, export lard, at Germany on No. 78 of Oct. 1st, 1897.
On March 22, 1902, died at Huntington, IN from stroke of paralysis.
