Thomas Eaton, Supervisor of Locomotive Operation, died at his home in Chicago after a lingering illness.
He entered the service of the Erie as Fireman, October 7, 1889. He was promoted to Engineer on March 23, 1896, and served continuously until September 1, 1917, when he was transferred to Supervisor of Locomotive Operation on the Chicago Division. He served in that capacity until October 21, 1920, at which time he was given an indefinite leave of absence, due to the illness which subsequently claimed his life.
