W.M. GILLESPIE
Entered the service as freight brakeman Dec. 21st, 1888. For record on freight see Eastern Division Book.

Promoted to passenger brakeman, May 1st, 1895. Garnished July 8th, 1895 by A. Marx of Huntington. Forced back to freight service July 25th, 1895 by V. Major being put back in baggage car. Put back in the passenger service Aug. 1st, 1895. Suspended 7 days from Nov. 23rd, for leaving rear car on No. 5 on C&WI Sept. 25th, 1896.

Forced out of through passenger service by Robert Thompson throwing baggage car on 9&10 and asking for Gillespie's run 04/20/1897. Gillespie assigned as brakeman, 9&10, April 24th, 1897. Gave up position of passenger brakeman voluntarily and reentered the freight service as brakeman, Lima Division, June 5th, 1897.
