Entered service of the C&E as brakeman, April 28th, 1892. Age 27, single. Pulled off May 6th, 1893 to reduce the force. Reemployed June 15th, 1893.
Suspended 10 days for picking up 2 pairs of shoes on the right of way at Boone Grove on Oct. 26, 1894 and appropriating same to his own use when he had every reason to believe they had been stolen from a car. Suspended 7 days from Dec. 28th for letting car go off end of Downeys Spur on No. 30 of Dec. 11th, 1896.
Resigned April 25th, 1899 to avoid dismissal for violation of Rule 202 at Chicago, April 17th, 1899.
