Daniel SpradlinI Daniel Spradlin, of Johnson County, Kentucky being of sound mind and memory of my free and voluntary will, make this my last will and testament. It is my desire that all my just debts if I should owe any at my death, and the funeral expenses of myself and my wife be paid out of our personal estate, and all the residue of it I will and bequeath to Charity Spradlin, wife of George Spradlin, and Jincy Adams, widow of John Q. Adams, to be divided between them equally, share and share alike after the death of myself and wife, with this exception: I desire that my beloved wife may have the full use and control of all the household goods and kitchen furniture during her lifetime, and she is to have all the livestock, and grain and provender and provisions on hand at my death; but Charity Spradlin and Jincy Adams shall have all the farming implements on hand at my death to be divided equally among them. Said Charity Spradlin and Jincy Adams are to support and take care of me and my wife Mary so long as either of us shall live, and if they fain in this the property above bequeathed to them shall be appointed to our support. The above bequest to Jincy Adams shall take effect in the event she remains the widow of John Q. Adams. The upper one half of all my land situated on the Upper Twin Branch of Jennies Creek, Johnson County, Kentucky. Not heretofore conveyed to Britton Spradlin after the death or the marriage of Jincy Adams, then the land above willed shall go to her children Miles and Frank Adams if living. In the event of the death of Miles and Frank Adams then, the whole shall go to the other, provided the deceased shall leave no heirs. In the event of the death of both with out heirs, then the land above bequeathed shall go to Charity Spradlin during her lifetime and after her death to her children by George Spradlin. I will and bequeath unto Charity Spradlin the wife of George Spradlin, during her life time, the lower-one half of all my land situated on the Upper Twin Branch of Jennies Creek, Johnson County, Kentucky and not heretofore conveyed to Britton Spradlin. After the death of Charity Spradlin the land above willed to her shall do to her children by her husband George Spradlin. It is my intention to give all the land I now own, not heretofore conveyed to Britton Spradlin, contingent nevertheless as above, to the said Jincy Adams and Charity Spradlin to be equally divided between them, share and share alike, and if they are unable to agree on a division line then each party shall select a disinterested person, and the two selected shall select a third, and the three acting together shall finally determine the matter. I hereby appoint James W. Turner and Ben F. Spradlin, Sr. executors of this my last will and testament. The foregoing two typewritten pages comprise the last will and testament of Daniel Spradlin. Being in a sound state of mind do hereby bequeath or will my property in Paintsville, Ky., known as the Mart Preston property, one lot on the South side of Front Street to Jincy Adams, Miles Adams, Frank Adams.
